She sighed as she heard her cell phone ringing. She turned over and folded her pillow over her head. She knew it was him calling, but she wasn't going to answer his call this time. She had moved on and was happy now. She snuggled closer to Adam for warmth. He must have sensed her in his sleep because he wrapped his arm around her. In the morning an annoying dinging let her know she had a new voice mail. She deleted it without even bothering to listen to it. She already knew what it was about. Once upon a time she had loved Carlito with everything she had in her but he had left her for another woman and she had picked herself back up.

"Babe I'm gonna head to the gym" Adam told her giving her a peck on the lips. "See you in a little while".

"Ok Baby have a good time" she replied. She walked into the bathroom and took a long shower, ridding herself of all the frustration that he ex-boyfriend had put her through. She looked at her towel clad reflection in the mirror. She wasn't an ugly woman by any stretch of the imagination. No, she wasn't at all. Her skin was the color of milk chocolate. Her eyes a rich brown and her raven colored hair fell freely just past her shoulders. She had often wondered why he had left. There were times when she almost drove herself crazy just trying to figure out what she had done to drive him away or what she could have done to make him stay. But after months and almost nightly drunken phone calls she had realized that it wasn't her who had the problem it was him.

She left her hotel room and headed to have some breakfast with her fellow divas. She saw them across the room from her. She locked eyes with him for a few seconds before returning her attention to what Mickie James was saying. But he mind couldn't help but drift back to him. She wondered if Brie Bella knew that he called her almost every night. She laughed with her friends and enjoyed the time they spent together before they all went their separate ways. Adam was waiting for her in their room when she returned to it. He had this goofy smile on his face.

"What's the matter with you?" she asked amused.

He didn't reply, instead he got down on one knee and pulled out a black velvet box. "Christina Joanna Pisciotti will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?".

"Yes, Adam Joseph Copeland I will" he stood up and she jumped into his arms.

Her phone rang again that night. She sat up and dangled her feet over the side of the bed. Taking the phone in her hands. She had never been much of a bet maker but if she did have to bet she's wager he was in a bar with a Johnnie Walker Red in his hand. He was calling her because he had no one else to come pick him up. She shook her head before holding down the red button on her phone to shut it off. Tomorrow she was going to have her number changed. There was no way she would be his last call ever again.
