A/N: Hey all! Just a quick drabble for you guys to look at. It's a poem I wrote, analyzing the significance of meat pies in Mrs. Lovett's life. There's some indepth symbolism, so apologies if you don't quite understand its meaning the first time around. ;) The beauty of poetry, I suppose :D
Please let me know what you think! Thanks!

The Truth Behind a Meat Pie
Meat is sacred,
As holy goes,
For Nellie Lovett,
Meat was a show.
Yes a show,
A show of wonder,
Of cannibals and crowds,
Without the blunder.
Meat is sacred,
As holy goes,
Till he returned,
Or so it's told.
Yes he returned,
Rekindled her fire,
And filled her heart,
With such desire.
Meat is sacred,
As holy goes,
For Nellie tried,
But faced her woes.
Yes woes she faced,
For love was taken,
Try as she may,
He wasn't shaken.
Meat is sacred,
As holy goes,
Though Todd was hard,
She gave it a go.
And a go she took,
And a go she failed,
For Sweeney was lost,
She could not prevail.
And prevail she failed,
But meat still remained,
For meat is sacred,
Though meat is tearstained.
