Chapter 3

After they had played all they wanted they returned to their so-called 'rooms', which were more like dorms but yet homely. After a well deserved shower, they all went to the common area and fortunately Barry's wife had got them breakfast today, otherwise they'd have to get it from somewhere, which would be nowhere near what Barry's wife makes, because she was an excellent cook. So, they all sat together for breakfast and after a little casual chit-chat, they were all back in the conference room.

"So did you find anything interesting Leon", David asked. He always used first names when he was not angry.
"No", replied Leon feeling a little guilty.
"Did you go through any files? What did it say?", asked Jill.
"No the alarm went off even before he could touch those cabinets", said Chris, he knew it since he saw everything through Leon's head cam.
"I don't believe where they get their finances, to set up that sort of security system, it took me ages to hack", said Percy sounding exhausted.
"Could it be because you hacked into their system is reason why they knew", Ark suggested.
"No it can't be possible, I would have known if they had detected me", said Percy immediately defending himself.
"So how did they come to know that you were there?", said Rebecca still puzzled.
"I don't know I just don't know", Leon said feeling a bit frustrated wondering how can he be such an idiot to get detected even before finding anything useful.

"Let's end it here guys we should try and infiltrate it some other time or some other way", David sighed in hopelessness, "Dismissed, and oh Leon send a log report to the President okay, he asked for it even if the attempt went in vain", Leon nodded in response, "And one more thing nobody's mad at you."

"Oh did you think that boy", Jill said in a comforting voice and lightly pecked him on his cheeks and other girls following the suite. For once Leon felt he was in heaven. Everybody knew he sucked with the ladies and besides he couldn't get that woman in the red out of his head but even then every woman kissing him on cheek was nothing short of wonderful.

"Yeah Kennedy we don't hate you", said John with a mischievous laugh hugging him and this time again all the guys followed the suite. It was a group hug.
"Ah guys get off me I am not gay", screamed Leon a little embarrassed.
"That should teach you for getting a kiss from my girlfriend and my sister. Nice going John", Chris said rather teasingly. Leon knew it that they weren't mad but failing such an important thing was a huge burden and he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed about it all.

Everybody headed to their work and Leon as usual went to White house to babysit Ashley which was becoming a headache as days passed. Every time he tried to run away from this but every time she would plead to President to get him back and he always found himself stuck with her and after a hard day of listening to Ashley's stupid conversation, which gave him severe headaches, and having dinner at some random restaurant, he was back in the room of the facility, since he found it was closer to White House and he didn't want to drive after a hard day's work. He lied on his bed eyes wide open relaxing a bit trying to sleep but he couldn't, so he decided to do the paperwork, which always makes him sleepy. So he went to his desk and started jotting down the report.

Leon found himself in Raccoon City or a place just like it, since Raccoon was ancient history now but it was there, where life took a serious turn. It was then that he met her, his lady in red, he loved her and she used him, left him in this nightmare to fight alone, he saw her face again and again in his dreams and always felt the anger rising in his veins but when he met her again in Spain why didn't he felt this anger there? Was he mad at her for betraying them or was he mad because she left him? This all was too confusing. He was there standing all alone and he saw them those zombies, lickers, hunters, Ganado and all sort of nightmarish BOWs. He fumbled for his gun but he couldn't find them. Then he heard a chopper over him.

"Need help", someone said dropping him rope ladder, he grabbed and climbed on it.
And suddenly a face, a face of unknown woman zoomed in front of him; she smiled and said "I don't work for them".
'Wait I know that face…', Leon thought as he suddenly woke up with a start and found himself on his desk. He had dozed off while writing his report. He was wet with sweat then he suddenly caught the point. He ran out knocking on everybody's rooms' door and screaming, "Wake up! Get out!"

"Leon what are you trying to do its middle of the night everybody's sleeping", called someone but he didn't notice who it was.
"Damn you Kennedy you woke me up."
"Kid, its night time go to sleep."
"Leon, you idiot! Why'd you wake me in the middle of night?"
"Did somebody attack us? What's going on?"

The more people woke the more he was cursed but he didn't pay any attention. When everyone was awake he shouted as loud as he could "HEY EVERYBODY I GOT IT. I GOT…"he shouted happily.
"Got what?", Sheva asked sounding a little annoyed, all eyes were fixed on Leon.
"That woman…", he said in a tone of realization.
"C'mon guys he's again been dreaming about that Ada", John said gesturing everybody to sleep.
"Nooooooo…", Leon yelled out loud as everybody turned to head back in their rooms.
"Leon, just go back to sleep we'll discuss this girl of yours later", Claire said like a very understanding person, looking a little concerned.
"Yeah Leon we all need sleep", said David he was also concerned the man who hardly showed any emotions is suddenly gone nuts in the middle of night.
"No you're getting it all wrong, I'll show you. Percy have you got the tape from that night", he suddenly shot at Percy, who had dozed off leaning on his doorframe.
"Uh…yyyes", he replied with a shaky voice waking up.
"Bring it to the conference room now and everybody please believe me and follow me to conference room", he said in excitement at the breakthrough.

After everybody settled in conference room in their Pajamas and nightwear as he played the tape. After the taped stopped playing Leon asked everyone, "Did you see it?"
"See what? Everything is so dark", said Chris trying to see something.
He again played the tape and paused it at the last and pointed in the middle of black screen tracing an outline, "See here there's a woman, this is the time when I first saw her running in my direction", he said barely keeping the excitement out of his tone.
"Now I am sure he's gone mad", said Ark yawning.
"Yeah we should keep him away from Ashley her madness is contagious look what she's done to Leon", Bruce couldn't help but joke.
"No, guys now that he pointed out the outline I think there really is someone there", said John in serious tone.
"Oh yeah, now that you mention it we did hear a woman's voice over his communicator when I was monitoring", said Chris remembering looking over to Percy.
"What are you saying I didn't hear anything", spat Percy.
"'Cause you were busy panicking, then controlling his bike and then again panicking", shot Chris a little angrily. Percy didn't say anything but only scowled in embarrassment.
"Percy this is just one part of tape where's the other", inquired Jill.
"Ah…yes", replied Percy and slid in another tape.

'I am out of ammo, have you got some', came in a woman's voice. A few frames later they saw her clearly when Leon stood up on bike they could not see her face but the side of her face was so close to his cam that it recorded only that for couple of minutes until she got back to the bike to apply brakes.

"Hey you were so close to her face you should have kissed her Kennedy", Claire who was sitting besides Leon said to him teasingly.
"Shut up Claire let us watch the movie", snapped John.

Now Leon was pulling her on the chopper and the cam shook so much the image wasn't clear. And when she fell on top of him, her hair clouded the camera lens and her moment were too swift to move, they couldn't see her face and when Leon talked to her she had her back towards him. Everyone were on edge of their seat as she was about to turn around to answer Leon, telling him that she didn't work for them and the screen went blank everyone's head turned to Percy.

"Sorry guys the recording memory of that cam is this much only", he told them.
"Damn, you have to screw it in her face, Percy", cried John, "We watched the whole movie and we don't know the lead heroine."
"Yeah Percy how are we supposed to know what she looked like", Claire said crossing her arms.
Everybody was disappointed that they didn't see her face and once again tension started to build up, "Calm down everyone", called David above their voice, "Leon do you remember her face can you help make a sketch of her."

"Yeah I remember", replied Leon, "She had long hair tied up in pony tail, two eyes like umm… nose like uh….her mouth was…..", he tried hard to remember.
"You know Leon every girl here has that trait and oh I think every person has two eyes, one nose and mouth each so be SPECIFIC", John said emphatically.
"Okay, okay, she was about 5'7" was good at handling weapons and stuff had an amazing sense of balance", Leon tried to recollect.
"We KNOW that we SAW that, TELL us what she looked like", Claire said slowly as if he was a retard.
"She was good looking", he said smiling and Claire and John slapped their face.
"David he doesn't remember her face", John said.
"Hey but I can recognize her if I see her again. She oddly has very familiar face", Leon said cutting in.
"Why don't you remember it then?", Claire said impatiently.
"Well I just can't detail it down how she looks like", Leon said shrugging. He had that face in his head but he just wasn't able to tell exactly what it looked like.
"So how are we suppose to find her then?", David questioned asking for suggestions.

"From the way she handled the gun this proves that she must have some training or something. Even I could not have known to handle a gun if Chris hadn't taught me. And unlike me she must have to have some official training don't you think?", Claire said analytically.
"What are you trying to say little sister?" asked Chris scratching his head.
"I get it, she is saying that if we search of some official records we could find her cause they have their photographs don't they?", Jill clarified to her slow boyfriend.

"Okay I can ask Hunnigan to give us records for U.S. agents", Leon told them.
"I can get S.T.A.R.S. head of other branch to give me some info", David said.
"I can use my Mercenaries contact to give me some info on their official and unofficial mercenaries", added Carlos.
"And I can try safely hack into other countries secret agents record", said Percy if all fails.
"Okay Guys off you go. We have work to do. We can find that girl and extract the truth out of her", said David encouragingly.

Everybody dispersed and walked out of the conference hall discussing the video tape, they just as if it a top on the charts movie. Although they were woken up from their sleep and were very much irritated about it but the new addition into the scenario and knowing their trip wasn't really fruitless, got them going again. At least now they had some hopes for bringing down the virus they've been fighting against and knowing what happened to the man Albert Wesker.
