Just don't give up
I'm workin it out
Please don't give in, I won't let you down
It messed me up, need a second to breathe
Just keep coming around

Harry was a disaster, he knew that. He knew he was a wreck and that he didn't deserve a friendship like Pete's. He'd tried to kill him, blamed him for his father's death even though he knew it probably wasn't intentional. His father was insane in the end, maybe he always was. And Harry was letting himself end up the same way. He had to fix himself. Try at least. He had to show Peter he was still his best friend, he had to help. He needed to keep Peter in his life, and if he let him down this time he feared Peter would leave him forever.

Yeah, there might have been a time
When I would let you slip away
Wouldn't even try
But I think you could save my life

As Harry suited up, he thought to himself about how far he'd pushed Pete. How much time he wasted, how much hurt he'd caused. And he hadn't cared. Didn't care that the only person that was consistantly there for him couldn't logically be who he'd made him out to be in his mind. He'd let the madness run rampant, and without Peter there to tame him, without his friendship, he was floating farther and farther away from the one person that could save him.
And as he left his house for the last time, he prayed that tonight would be the end of this insanity.
A new beginning.
