Author's Note: Okay so this is my second FanFiction. I'm still writing my first. I'm actually only four chapters into my first story. But I was looking through ATLA pictures today, for my tumblr, and was inspired to write this story by a picture I saw of Zuko and Azula together. Disclaimer: I do not own ATLA or any of its characters
Prologue
Lu Ten's POV
Lu Ten felt like he'd been waiting out in the hall for days. He could hear his aunt screaming on the other side of the door.
"Lu?" Zuko looked up at him.
"Yeah, Zuko?"
"Whys mommy skeemin'?" The two year old asked.
Lu Ten smiled, "It's okay Zuko; your mom's going to be fine."
"Wanna see 'err," Zuko said, and reached up for the doorknob.
"No Zuko!" Lu Ten grabbed his cousin and carried him away from the door. "Remember what your father said? No one is allowed in there until the nurse says it's okay. We're supposed to be waiting out here quietly. So, please, just sit still."
Zuko nodded and plopped down onto the floor. Lu Ten smiled. He loved how well Zuko listened. He'd make a good Fire Lord, Lu Ten mused. Too bad he isn't heir. He'll have to settle for a Noble. Or maybe he could be a General.
"Well hello, princes" said a familiar voice, disrupting Lu Ten's thoughts.
Lu Ten looked up, "Oh. Hello, Father." He smiled
Iroh smiled back, "How is she doing?"
Lu Ten had momentarily forgotten about his aunt, "Oh… well she's stopped screaming. So, that's good, right?"
Iroh chuckled, "Very. I suspect we should be able to go in soon."
Just then the door opened, and little Zuko stood up quickly, too quickly. He almost tumbled over but Lu Ten caught his arm and kept him up. "Careful, Zuko," he chuckled.
The nurse smiled down at Zuko, "She is ready to see you all now."
Lu Ten grabbed Zuko's hand and led him into the room, his father following closely behind.
His aunt was lying in the bed at the center of the room. She looks horrible, Lu Ten thought. She was a mess; her hair was all over the place, she was drenched in sweat, and looked very pale. But she was smiling. His uncle was sitting in a chair next to the bed and held a small golden bundle in his arms.
"Lu Ten?" Ursa said
"Yes?"
"Could you place Zuko up on the bed for me?" she asked
"Of course," Lu Ten answered as he lifted Zuko up and placed him onto the bed next to his mother. That's when he realized Zuko hadn't spoken since Lu Ten told him to be quiet. He chuckled, "Its okay, Zuko. You don't have to be quiet anymore."
Zuko grinned at Lu Ten and then turned to his mother, "You okay?" he asked.
"Yes, Zuko, I'm perfectly well," she smiled, "would you like to meet your baby sister?" she asked
"Yeah!" Zuko yelled, clearly excited.
Lu Ten's uncle handed the bundle to his aunt and Lu Ten leaned closer to get a better look. The baby had dark brown hair, identical her brothers. He smiled. He couldn't wait to find out if she was a bender like her brother as well.
His aunt held the bundle closer to Zuko, "Her name is Azula," she said, "For your grandfather."
