Dear Holly,
I know it's been a while since you've heard from me- a year, if this all works out right. And I know I told you that the last letter was going to be the last of all. But that's not quite true, love. There's one more thing I have to tell you. It's a big one, and that's why I wanted to put it off for a while. I wanted to give you plenty of time to come to terms with everything else first. But now it's time- so here goes.
I have some sperm frozen. God, it feels goofy to write that, but it's true. I had the little guys put away before the chemo, just in case, so they're healthy and ready to go. I didn't know back then that I wasn't going to make it. I thought I was planning for our future, together- but it didn't turn out that way.
I'm not asking anything of you this time, Holly. This is so big I have no right to ask. But you need to know. The enclosed papers contain the details. I've arranged for five years' storage- that means there are three more left from now, plus the little guys will be good for a lot longer than that if you want to extend the contract. So think about it a while. Talk it over with Sharon and Denise, your mom, your new husband. There's no rush. But those little frozen guys are all yours. Every part of me was always yours, ever since that day on the road.
