Disclaimer: I do not own DC Comics, Robin, the prompt, or anything else.
Writing Prompt #1: Close your eyes briefly. Think of one object that's in the room and focus on it. Without opening your eyes, recall as much detail as you can about it. After three minutes or so, open your eyes and write about that object without looking at it.

Robin's room is plain.
It's a fact. Simple white walls, a normal brown framed bed with a dark blue comforter, a brown desk with a brown chair, a punching bag in the corner, and a pair of filing cabinets. That's it. No colors, no designs, no pictures, and no posters…well, except for one.
It stands out drastically compared to the rest of the room. The bright colors give the poster its own personality, one of joy and enthusiasm. The three figures on the poster have large grins on their faces. Their bodies are soaring through the air, arms out as though they are flying. Their outfits of green and yellow[1] shimmer in the spotlight that they are cascaded in. The red circus tent behind them holds a glowing sign that reads three important words: The Flying Graysons.[2]
Many thought Robin had the poster there as a memory of his parents. Many thought Robin had the poster there to remember his past. Many thought Robin had the poster there to remind him of why he is the way he is today. They were all wrong though. Robin didn't need a poster to have memory of his parents. They would always be there with him. Robin didn't need a poster to remember his past. He could remember it quite vividly, actually. Robin didn't need a poster to remind him of why he is the way he is. It's really easy to remember that your parents were killed and that's why you are the way you are. No. The poster was there to remind Robin that he was human. That he could break. That he could easily get injured. That he could die.
The poster, the one single poster with only four words and three people, reminds Robin that he is only Richard Grayson. Well, Richard behind a mask. But nevertheless, Richard. Just Richard. Just human.
AN: Well, I decided I needed some practice in writing so I googled creative writing prompts and whaddya know! The first site that comes up is www. creative writing prompts .com. So I clicked on it and decided, what the heck. Worth a shot. Thanks for reading! Feedback highly appreciated.
Now, no, I do not have a Flying Graysons poster in my room. Kind of wish I did but I don't. But I have plenty of pictures of my parents and I so I focused on that. These really don't mean anything. Just mainly practice for me. :)
[1] The yellow and green outfit is based off of All Star Batman & Robin, drawn by Jim Lee, written by Frank Miller. Amazing comic with the history of Dick Grayson. And Jim Lee is like the master of art.
[2] The entire poster idea came from The Batman episode titled, "A Matter of Family." It was only at the beginning briefly I believe but for some reason it stuck in my mind.
