One day Mario, Peach, and King Toad was in an airplane when they landed on a island. The island's name was Isle Delfino.
When they got to the airstrip there was a goopy paint monster glob!
So Mario went to explore the sunny airstrip when he found some type of device...
The device talked! Mario was shocked!
The device told him "I am F.L.U.D.D. I am can spray out water."
So Mario put F.L.U.D.D. on his back and sprayed all of the goop away!
But when he did that, something shiny came out of the goop...
F.L.U.D.D. told Mario it was a Shine Sprite, and to collect it.
So Mario collected it. But the police came and snatched him up and put him in jail!
Mario didn't understand why he was sitting in that dirty old cell!
But F.L.U.D.D. told him the story about Isle Delfino...
He said the island used to be a sunny resort because all 120 Shine Sprites would gather at the tower.
But since some shadow villain painted stuff, the Shine Sprites no longer gather there.
But then the police came and told Mario that if he would clean up the paint, that they would set Mario free!
So Mario chose to clean up the mess instead of sitting in jail his whole life! (I would have chose to clean up the paint also! (-;
So Mario went to clean up everything and went on missions to save the beautiful land of Isle Delfino!
