Hey everyone, it's been half a year since I updated last. Before this last week I had 600 words in this chapters and in this time I really put my time into it, previous to that I didn't really have much commitment to this story but I'm really happy to be back into it. I've been working very hard on this chapter so I really hope that you enjoy in.

Floor 1: Horunka Village, Breeze Fields
With Naruto

Sinon was gone and finished with her quest. Naruto finally got up after what felt like hours of waiting but was actually more like fifteen minutes, more or less.

The NPC boy had returned and this time when Naruto went through taking care of him he had expected the monster and was quick to evade its strike.

Naruto turned on the beast, barely dodging another strike. Naruto got into a ready stance whilst equipping his «Wolf Claws». At this point Naruto got the chance to actually look at the beast; it was a fox, more than a fox, it was a hugeone. It had red-orange fur and pure black fur that stretched up to its ears resting around it's furious blood red eyes, its upper-body were like that of a human featuring two arms complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands. On its four paws it was about six feet tall. The beast held a sinister grin with extremely sharp teeth decorating his mouth. It's most predominant feature was the fact that it had eight tails.

Naruto rushed the «Demon Fox». The fox prepared to swipe Naruto, but Naruto quickly dodged the strike sliding on his knees under the fox. On the other side of the fox Naruto hurriedly jumped up onto his feet from his knees and did a back flip with his Wolf Claws out, effectively dealing damage to the «Demon Fox». The «Demon Fox» howled with anger at being hit and this time charged Naruto. The fox bolted towards Naruto, slicing downwards with both claws right as it reached his range hitting Naruto with two devastating blows that knocked out 10% of his health. The fox didn't let up on his offensive continuously rushing Naruto with swift, destructive strikes to his face and chest, forcing Naruto to constantly jump backwards to avoid the attacks. In the midst of the consecutive assault Naruto found an opening in the demon's defense and charged a sword skill, not missing the chance Naruto exploited his opportunity and propelled his weapons at the «Demon Fox» with a «Double Swipe» hitting the fox in the neck forcing a «Critical Strike»and knocking out 25% of the fox's health.

The «Demon Fox» quickly recovered from its apparent shock of taking so much damage from one strike and one again howled with anger. This time the howl brought about a new aura that erupted from the eight tailed «Demon Fox». From the distance he was at Naruto could feel that the power of the «Demon Fox» grew greatly. The power that rolled off of the beast struck Naruto knocking him down and pushing him back about a foot. Naruto could feel the hate and anger flooding outwards all around him.

When Naruto got back onto his feet from the floor he examined the «Demon Fox» and noticed that it now had nine tails and grew in size a bit. The fox wasted no time to start attacking; it rushed Naruto with a previously unseen intensity knocking Naruto back with a brute tackle. Naruto did a couple backflips to weaken the momentum that he was pushed at, ultimately skidding to a halt leaving groves into the forest floor.

The fox was already on Naruto by the time Naruto had a chance to recover from the last assault. The foxed blasted Naruto with a hard sweep to his chest. The impact of the swipe knocked Naruto into a tree destroying it, and leaving Naruto with four deep gashes imbedded in his chest.

Naruto looked at the gashes in his chest then looked at his health bar and noticed that he was now at about 35% health. The sight of his health bar being so low brought out a new fury in Naruto. The young boy dashed at the beast immediately attacking it once he was in range. Naruto sliced the beast with a diagonal downward swipe from his left claw, jumped into the air and kicked it with his right foot, continued his assault with a swipe downward from his right claw, then kicked the beast three times in its face. Naruto did a short hop into the air and quickly slashed downward with both claws, using the momentum from his last attack Naruto struck the beast with a hard kick to the chest. Now on the ground Naruto charged his «Rapid Swipe», running and slashing straight across the side of the disoriented beast.

(Rapid Swipe: A simple sword skill for Claw type weapons; the user charges and does a horizontally straight cut with a single claw on either side of the target)

Naruto, on his knees, was heavily panting due to exhaustion from his past assault on the «Demon Fox». He looked behind him still panting and noticed that the fox was incapacitated on the floor. Naruto stood up and began to walk towards the fox with the original intent to kill it. When Naruto reached the «Demon Fox» it looked up and stared into Naruto's eyes. Naruto, seeing the look that the fox held couldn't bring himself to kill it. He reached out his hands; initially the fox growled, but when Naruto had finally touched and pet it. Once pet, the fox began to contently purr. Naruto sat down on the floor of the field and continued to pet the «Demon Fox».

Through the time that Naruto was petting, the Fox began to glow a bright gold color. When the light dimmed down in the place of the formerly huge 4-tailed «Demon Fox» was a much smaller form of it that only had one tail. Naruto fell onto his back in surprise of the new much friendlier looking animal. The fox hopped up onto Naruto's face and began to lick him. Naruto got over his shock and gained a huge smile and began to hug the fox close.

Naruto's face took a serious compose as he stood still holding the fox. "Would you like to be my friend?" In response to Naruto's question the fox barked cheerfully that Naruto could only assume was a yes. At that Naruto could feed a tug from his heart to the fox's; he looked up and noticed that he know had a health bar directly under his. Naruto looked back down at the fox and a UI Screen popped up in front of him.

Name your Tamed Monster: «Demon Fox»

Kurama

DONE

The «Demon Fox» was now Naruto's partner named Kurama, a level 5 «Demon Fox» that was about 1 foot tall but looked the same in all other regards as it did when Naruto was first fighting it. Based on what Naruto witnessed and experienced, it was obvious that Kurama held a tremendous amount of power even for its little form.

Through the excitement Naruto was experiencing from the fact that he got a monster for a partner. He realized that he was still in the middle of the quest and technically did defeat the beast that was guarding the boy.

After his realization Naruto quickly turned around cut down the boy who was surprisingly resting throughout the entire fight Naruto had with Kurama.

Naruto gently placed the boy on the floor and attempted to wake him up. After a couple of attempts including slapping and shouting, Naruto finally was able to make the boy begin to stir. The boy woke up and looked around. He must have noticed that his captors were gone based on the look of relief on his face.

Naruto eager to complete this quest rushed the boy on his feet. "Get up and put your arm around me. It's time to go back to your brother." The boy slowly got to his feet, using Naruto for support.

One the two were ready Naruto, Kurama, and the boy began their short journey back to the boys older brother.

The remainder of the quest was extremely uneventful as wolf monsters would constantly jump out and attack Naruto and the young boy, but before they could do anything Kurama would take them down and defeat them, taking minimal damage. Naruto had to admit that it most likely would have been difficult if he didn't have the little guy with him. With Kurama killing monsters left and right the two were earning EXP and Naruto could see that Kurama was growing. As Kurama grew Naruto could feel him better, meaning that he could almost feel what Kurama was feeling and thinking. The thought that an AI could have feelings at first surprised him, but thinking back on normal NPCs dispelled such thoughts.

Naruto and the boy had finally reached the older brother. He was more than relieved to have his younger brother back safely, and Naruto was relieved to almost be done with the quest so that he could get back to his friends. He just couldn't wait to introduce Kurama to Percy and Kirito; the two were bound to love him, especially Percy who has a dog back home.

Flash Back

Naruto and Kazuto walked into Kazuto's house to see Percy playing with a huge dog. The dog was like 2 and a half yards long and about 4 feet tall standing on all for legs. It was covered it black fur like that of Percy's hair and had unnaturally scary red eyes. Percy seemed to be having the time of his life playing with the dog.

Kazuto clearing his throat to get Percy's attention "Ahem…"

In unison Percy and the Dog turned and looked towards the two of us.

A huge white grin grew on Percy's face at the sight of Kazuto and Naruto. "Hey guys, this is Mrs. O'Leary. She's my dog from the states."

Naruto nodded a bit, leaned on the door "Do Mr. and Mrs. Kirigaya know that you have a dog here, in their house?"

"Well yeah. Who do you think helped me get her here?" Percy questioned flashing his signature smirk at his two friends.

Kazuto walked to the couch and lazily took a seat. He looked to Percy questioningly "Uh-huh. So where did you get her?"

Hearing the question Percy's usual glowing sea-green eyes darkened like they usually do when anyone mentions his time living in the states. "An old teacher of mine left her for me after he died… But that all old news. She's been my trust companion ever since." His eyes dimmed even more, "After mom died, and I moved out here with Aunt and Uncle Kirigaya I haven't been able to get her out here. But now I finally have her with me again." Percy finished with a shining, white smile.

Sometimes Naruto forgot that Kazuto and Perseus were cousins, connected through their grandmother and great-grandmother on his mother's side.

Naruto walked over to Mrs. O'Leary, petted her and they all changed the subject to something less sad.

Flash Back End

When Naruto, Kurama, and the young boy had finally reached the older brother, the young boy rushed over to his brother and began to cry in his arms. Naruto could hear the young boy telling his brother how he was so scared and that he would never run off again.

The boy's older brother got down on one knee, told him that it was okay and that he was just happy that his brother was safe again.

When the excitement died down Naruto walked over to the duo.

At the sight of Naruto the young boy quickly told his brother that Naruto was in fact the one who saved him.

The older boy let go of his brother, slowly walked over to Naruto, and shook his hand. "I must thank you for saving my bro; I'm Kamina," the boy pointed to his brother "at him over there, that's Simon, my bro. I don't know what I would've done if anything had happened to him so to show you my gratitude I'll give you some money, and a necklace for you to wear on your journey."

At that a notification screen appeared in front of him.

Quest Completed: Missing Brother

Naruto cheered at the completion of his quest. He quickly opened his inventory and inspected his new «Core Drill Necklace»

Naruto, impressed with the item's stats quickly equipped it and cheered some more. When he finally calmed down he looked around to notice that it was only him and Kurama left on the edge of the fields.

Naruto grabbed Kurama holding the little fox before his face "It's time for you to meet my brothers." With that Naruto ran off back towards the Inn at Horunka Village so that he could meet up with Perseus and Kirito.

Floor 1: Horunka Village, Ramen Ichiraku
With Naruto

On their way back to Horunka village Naruto and Kurama proved to be very hungry. They stopped at a restaurant that specialized in ramen.

Sitting there eating his 4th bowl of ramen, with Kurama on his lap sipping from a bowl that was also on his lap, Naruto could hear someone yawning from outside. To others it may seem crazy but Naruto could recognize that yawn as none other than Percy's yawn. Naruto rushed up and ran out of the restaurant. In his wild rush he dropped Kurama on the floor with ramen all over his head.

Once outside before he could stop his trek Naruto crashed into his friend Percy getting dust all into the air. When the dust had fallen what was left was Naruto on the ground with Percy's foot on his chest and Percy's spear at his neck.

Percy flipped his unruly, raven-black hair from in front of his face and yawned. "How many times must I tell you to watch where you're going Naruto?" When he finished the sentence Percy sent a devastating glare at Naruto.

Not long after a small orange fox with blood red eyes hopped onto Naruto's face and began to bark defensively towards Perseus. At the sight of the fox Percy's composure crumbled. "Aww, and who's this little guy?" Percy picked up Kurama, sitting down on Naruto's stomach who in reaction let out a pained sound.

Struggling to get from under Percy, Naruto let out "That would be Kurama, my pet «Demon Fox»."

With this new knowledge Percy let out a surprised gasp "How, pray tell, did you manage to get a Familiar, and a «Demon Fox» at that?"

Finally getting from under Perseus's massive body, "I bested him in battle and he decided that he wanted to come with me, so now we're partners," Naruto informed him as he sat up.

Percy let go of Kurama, who happily skittered his way to Naruto's lap. "Nice job Naruto. I've got to admit, I'm a bit jealous, but once we get back to the Inn and we see Kirito I'm sure you both are going to be jealous of what I got on my short yet very fulfilling journey." Percy told his young friend flashing his signature smirk.

Naruto and Percy with Kurama in his hands walked into the room within the inn that the three boys were staying in at the current moment in time. Naruto walking in further before realizing what was happening had to drop to the floor in order to dodge a slash coming from Kirito who was testing out his new sword.

Kirito sheathed his sword and let out a slight chuckle. "Sorry about that Naru." Kirito laughed out, using his nickname for Naruto, showing his sincerity in the matter.

Naruto stood up once again with the help of Kirito, "It's nothing man. Believe it!" Naruto turned around and took Kurama from Perseus's hands. "This is Kurama, a «Demon Fox». He's my familiar."

Kirito gave the blood-red eyed fox a soft pat on the head and looked to Naruto, "Where did you meet him? Oh and how did you tame him?" Kirito inquired.

Naruto took a seat at the table in the room, Kirito and Perseus following him. "While on my quest he was guarding and NPC that was being held captive, after fighting him and besting him in combat he decided to join me and he's been my official familiar since." Naruto finished with a wide smile.

Kirito gave him a puzzled look, "You… fought this little guy? When you say you bested him in combat it sounds like you had a hard time fighting him…" In response little Kurama barked angrily at Kirito, telling him that he was no pushover. All the while Percy was just laughing at the look on Naruto's face.

Naruto's face showed his confusion then shifted into a look of understanding, "Oh I see. This isn't even Kurama's final form." Naruto stopped for a second hopping to gain a laugh at the reference he made. After no one reacted he continued, "Kurama was much, much, much bigger when we fought. He was taller than Percy, and he had nine tails instead of one." Hearing that Kurama stood on all four proudly like that of a lion.

The conviction in Naruto's voice convinced Kirito that he was being serious so he didn't question it. Kirito noticed the necklace around Kirito's neck, "What else did you get from your quest reward Naruto?" Kirito asked the younger boy.

Naruto grabbed at his neck, "I got this necklace called the «Core Drill Necklace», it increases my Crit and my Agility, and I got 500 «Cor»." Naruto said letting go of his new necklace.

Kirito switched his focus to Percy who was resting his head on the table tiredly. "What did you get on your quest Percy?"

"Oh yeah you did say that we'd be jealous of what you got when the two of us were on our way here with Kurama." Naruto added, only intriguing Kirito even more.

Percy raised his head lazily flipping his long black hair out of his face. "I got a couple things." Percy's face scrunched up in thought. "I got unlimited access to a dojo for training in the early levels and I got a unique skill or something." When he finished Percy put his head back into his arms already trying to go back to sleep.

The boy who normally had a calm and cool composure cracked with surprise at Percy brushing off the Unique Skill he got. "Perseus Jackson!" Kirito shouted, "Unique skill… Unique skill… Unique skill, as in UNIQUE, meaning that only ONE person can have it." Kirito berated his older cousin, using his full name.

"Mhmm, and?" Perseus sarcastically told his younger cousin.

"What's it called? What's it do!?" Naruto excitedly asked.

Perseus raised his head and sat back in his chair, "Check this out." Perseus equipped a knife. A second later a knife was jammed through a screaming Percy's hand.

Kirito swiftly pulled the knife out of Percy's hand and used a healing potion on him.

Naruto who was freaking out during the ordeal had calmed down "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Naruto yelled to Percy whilst covering Kurama's ears.

"That wasn't supposed to happen…" Percy whispered, rubbing the hand that he had stabbed.

Kirito gave Percy a crazy look "What exactly was supposed to happen?"

Percy opened his skill interface and read from «Unique Skill: Blessing of Achilles» "Anyone who bathes in the River Styx will be gifted with strength and power, speed, and near invincibility which translates to bonus damage, bonus speed stat, and bonus damage reduction. The only spot where one who has bathed in the River Styx is vulnerable is in their Achilles' heel, a spot of the bather's choosing which will keep them grounded to the world and their life after they bathe in the river; this weak spot will gradually take more damage till the point where it being hit will cause immediate death. (When first gaining this skill it will be maxed out. After an hour of having the skill it will reset and grow gradually.)" Percy closed his interface to see his friends with wide mouths, "I guess I skimmed it when I read it before, it's still kind of strange not to have dyslexia in the game."

Naruto was the first of the two to recover from his shock, "Damn that's pretty cool Percy, especially since it coincides with your Greek side from your dad."

Percy didn't like mentioning or hearing anything that had to do with his Greek side, memories of his time with the Greek side of his family only brought painful and sad feelings, it was part of the reason he moved to Japan to live with Kirito. But it wasn't Naruto's fault, he was still young and quick to speak. All Percy could say in response was "Yeah…"

Looking to make the mood better Kirito make a suggestion, "How about we eat dinner and go to bed? We can start fresh tomorrow morning." Kirito turned to Naruto "You brought us food right?"

With a wide, toothy, smile Naruto opened his inventory and placed ten bowls of ramen on the table. "Let's dig in!" Naruto shouted.

That night with the boys and Kurama ended nice with them all falling asleep to the sound of Percy's loud snoring.

Floor 1: Quiet Forest

In the forest was a group of four people that were slaughtering every monster that would approach them. The first was a boy with shaggy sun-kissed hair and blue eyes. His body was of an athletic surfer build. His skin was tanned as if he was under the sun 24 hours a day. He wore golden light armor and wielded a long bow.

The next was a girl with short, spiky black hair. Her eyes were like that of flowing electricity. She had freckles across her nose. She also wore light armor although hers was black with a blue trim on the edges. She fought using a spear and a circle shield. Her attacks were swift and sharp as she killed monster after monster. All in all she was as beautiful as she was bad ass.

The next player was a young man. His build was athletic more on the muscular side than the first boy, and he was very tall. He also had electric blue eyes, but his hair was blonde and in a tidy military cropped style. He had a tattoo of an Eagle on his arm. He wore golden rimmed glasses. Other than the spot where his tattoo was located it was covered in heavy armor and wielded a big two handed double-edged sword. This boy and the girl fought together with an unspoken eloquence that can only be seen from people that have history with one another.

The last of the players was a true arc of destruction. He had messy, black hair and eyes with black pupils that held the wild glint of a madman in them. He has skin that had never seen the light of the sun, it was a pale olive color. On his right hand he wore a silver skull ring. He wore a black leather jacket with a skull that radiated some white energy on the back. His armor was pure black, making it hard to see him in the dark of the night. He wasn't as muscular as his other male companions but from the feats he was preforming in this forest you could tell he was in-shape and athletic. His weapon of choice was a scythe. The way he slashed through monster to monster to monster proved him to be a worthy opponent willing to challenge him.

Soon all the monsters were taken care of buy the group who fought like hard trained soldiers. When they were finished they all sat around and looked up at the night sky.

Taking a chance to speak the black haired boy said "I don't love our lives back in the real world but I don't want to stay in here. We need to survive for now and make it back to the real world."

At that his companions looked at him and nodded their heads in approval. "Nico, I know that we're going to survive here. We've survived much harder. This is most definitely nothing compared to being one of us." The black haired girl said supportively.

"If only Percy were here. He'd get us out of here, and use all his willpower doing so." The archer whispered quietly not knowing the others would hear him.

The tall blond haired boy tightened his fist and looked at the archer. "Sorry Will, Percy isn't here. But you have us so there's nothing to worry about. I trust you all with my life and I know we're going to make it out of here."

The black haired boy named Nico lied down on the forest floor and gazed towards the moon in the sky. "Thalia and Jason are right. We'll be fine. We'll lead everyone to the completion of this game." Nico closed his eyes to go to sleep. "Jason takes the first shift, everyone else go to sleep, you know the drill. Good night." Before descending to sleep Nico whispered to himself "Percy you might not be here. But you're with us in spirit. You're the only reason I've made it this long." Not long after he was asleep.

After that conversation the group spent the rest of the night sleeping and taking shift watching for monsters. Lucky for them none showed up.

Well I really hope you enjoyed. as I previously said I worked really hard on this. I'm already working on chapter 4. I'm trying to pace my uploads to suit myself better. Of course if I get really ahead I won't hold you all hanging.

xFallenWolfx: Yeah, the pacing being fast like that is just the way the story is at the very beginning. No worries though because I promise you that it will slow down to a more casual rate soon and I feel like I did do that in this chapter. I hope I delivered in the action tags department and the entire character thing.

imBored09: Right now Naruto is the youngest of the bunch being barely 14, Kirito being 14 very close to 15, and Percy being barely 16. The ages don't work perfectly with all the canon's but I'm changing things a bit. Now as for the pairing and what it has to do with age; Naruto is still young so he doesn't really have much good experience with girls and he is still pretty immature for his age, so I've decided that for now Naruto doesn't really need a love interest and that that can come around late in the story. I did get Sinon in SAO but that doesn't mean that she is going to be his interest.

reapertmn3: Yep I do my best. We'll be seeing more of her soon.

Velial13: I get where you're coming from but you have to at least give me a chance haha. I hope that you can see in the chapter that I'm not trying to focus on one character as I dislike it when authors focus too much on one character or pairing my self.

Cant Catch This: Your review most definitely stood out from the other reviews. This was very helpful, and I took what you said in great consideration, I hope what I've done in this chapter will make sense to you, reader input is always important to me. Now as for why Sinon doesn't look completely different. It's the same reason why Diabel or Lisbeth had the same hair color they started with, it only changes thing in regard to like dimension's, The color of ones hair isn't asked for by the Nerve gear as far as I can tell based on the previous examples.
