Febuary 8: Just changing the crossovers. No actual update guys, remember I'm passing myself.

Hey everyone, a short while since I updated last. I've been working very hard on this chapter so I really hope that you enjoy in. Did you miss me? I'm back and I'm very happy to be posing this today. After this is out for 3 days I'll be changing it to be Naruto/Percy Jackson and then Percy Jackson/SAO then back. This is mostly so that I can get a wider demographic.

Over the last 3 days Perseus, Kazuto, and Naruto went on their separate ways in floor 1 in order to see the status of the players. Today they're back together and things are about to change.

December 2, 2022
First Floor: Tolbana

"Let's talk about what we saw on the past 3 days, checking on the condition of the players." Kirito, who seemed the most mentally stable of the three, said.

Naruto leaned on the wooden wall of the inn room, his head down with a dark demeanor that masked his usually joy-filled face "An entire month has passed since the game began, and in that time, 2000 people have died… The hope that the outside would come and help us has been all crushed, with not a single message being able to get through."

Crestfallen Percy sat down on the bed adjacent to the sullen Naruto, with tears running from his unusually dark sea green eyes down his face; he lied down and looked to the ceiling of now seemingly small room "I saw it myself, the panic and the madness that has taken hold of players who realized that they couldn't get back was unbelievable and unbearably saddening. There were people in the «Starting City» crying and others wailing, some were trying to dig up the ground of the city hoping that they could destroy this world." Percy took a long breath in attempt to regain his composure, "But of course, the rules we are governed by set by Akihiko Kayaba make it impossible to do so, as all building in this game were indestructible immortal objects; the only results the players who tried this got were callused bruised fingers. It took a long time for these players to accept this and think of something else to do."

Kirito jumped in when Perseus had finished "I took the liberty to split the current players of this world into groups based on how they're currently spending their time." Noticing that he had the two other boy's attention he continued, "Now for the first group, these are the people that Percy was talking about. They take up about half of the current population of Sword Art Online, I completely understand the way they are acting; they know that their real bodies are lying somewhere lifeless, while they're here in this fake world. If there was even the smallest change that they could get out they'd do just about anything to escape, I'd do just about anything to escape this trap." Although the two other boys had grim faces they kept their eyes locked on Kirito, catching every word he spoke "The second group is a small faction of players who have begun to work together and gather supporters to beat the game. Since this group is constantly growing players have begun to call them the army. The third group is players like up who have grouped into small groups with people they know or they've befriended these people are generally higher levels since they have others to watch their backs. The final group is generally made up of beta-testers; they're the solo players of this world. Many of them are dying due to the changed made in the game since the beta, luckily as more is data is coming in from them less and less people are dying." Kirito looked to his two companions looking for their reactions for the information he just presented them. Percy seemed to be thinking on the information that he just heard while Naruto was seemingly seething with anger.

Naruto abruptly stood up and shouted "Okay Kazu we have the information now what!? What was the point of all of this!? From where I'm standing this all seemed pointless." Naruto began to tear up "I thought we decided that we would beat this game, that we would save the others stuck in this… game. We've done nothing substantial except for leveling. I'm happy to have you all here with me, and I'm sure Percy would agree with me in saying that we're happy to have Kurama, but sadly enough we're getting nowhere." When Naruto finished Percy stood up and took the younger boys crying form in his arms, acting as his very own older brother.
With Naruto in his arms Percy spoke up "Kirito, I've got to agree with Naruto man. What are we going to do and when?"

Kirito gazed in the direction of the two other boys "That's exactly what I wanted to talk about next. After all this time none of us have been able to clear this floor. The three of us were all beta-testers, and yet even we haven't found the boss room for this floor." The look his face held steeled, "Today, finally, we're going to a meeting so we can figure out how to find and defeat the floor boss." The disposition in the room changed at that. The boys realized that things were only going to get better from this point. Naruto was wiping the tears from his eyes and Perseus' face held his signature grin showing that everyone had recovered from the unnerving conversation.

Naruto's stomach grumbled his face grew into a small smirk, "Until then, can we get something to eat please? Kurama and I are hungry." Naruto questioned, hoping to satisfy his black hole of a stomach.

Percy, back in the bed, lied on his side and yawned loudly, "I'm not all that hungry, I'm a lot more tired than I am hungry, and I want to take a nap." Percy told the other two boys. Ever since he got the «Hidden Extra Skill: Blessing of Achilles» he's been getting tired much faster than normal, it seemed like in this game everything good had some sort of drawback to it.

Kirito raised a hand to his chin in thought, "Okay, Naruto you and Kurama go get some food, bring back some for Percy and I please. Percy, go ahead back to the Inn and take a nap that's as long as you need. I'm going to go to the meeting and from there I'll relay anything you need to know, when we all meet back up later."

First Floor: Tolbana, Auditorium
With Kirito

Kirito took a seat alone, a bit farther back incase Naruto or Percy decided to show up to the meeting. He looked down at the man speaking attentively.

The man wore a bronze heavy armor set on his chest, shoulders, arms, and shins. He wielded a large long sword, strapped on his left waist and had a kite shield on his back. The man had blue hair with long bangs on both sides and blue eyes to match. The default trim he wore on his clothes was also blue.

The man clapped, gaining everyone's attention, "Okay let's get this meeting started!" The crowd settled down. "Thank you for showing up today everyone, it's good to see you. My name is Diabel, and in this game, the job I chose is knight." The crowd of gamers began to laugh at the reference to other MMORPG games.

"Dude, there's no job system in this game."

"A knight?" someone laughed out.

"Do you all want to hear this or not?" Diabel's face steeled and the murmurs of the crowd died down once again. "Right anyway here's the deal. Our party found the boss room at the top of the tower today." The noise of the crowd started up again with questions to what Diabel was saying.

In the midst of the questions like "What?" and "Seriously?" Diabel continued what he was saying. "First we need to defeat the boss and make it to floor two. The next step is we have to tell everyone in the Town of Beginnings that it is possible to beat this game. Fact is that it is our duty as the most capable players. Do you agree or not?" At first everyone began to look at each other with questioning glances, but not long after cheers, clapping, and whistles began to break out from the crowd.

Diabel took a deep break. "Okay. Glad to hear you're all with me on this. Without further delay, let's figure out how we're going to defeat the boss. First off lets split off into parties of six players."

"…parties of six," Hearing parties of six rang a bell in Kirito's head. He realized that it was only him, Perseus, and Naruto. When he began to look around he realized that everyone else was quickly paired into their parties. "A typical party doesn't stand a chance against a floor boss; we need to for a raid group made up of multiple parties." Kirito could hear Diabel speaking in the back of his head. Still looking around Kirito realized that there was no one left to party left. In his last glance around he noticed two people alone on either direction of him.

To his left was someone in a red cloak and towards the right was a girl with short, blue hair, some of which came down in the middle of her forehead, and had a bit of hair tied in small ribbons on the each side of her face. Her eyes were the color in Indigo. She wore a scarf around her neck and had a Long Bow on her back with a quiver strapped on. Her armor was light, colored white. She wore a short green jacket above her normal armor. From what Kirito could see her face had a look of anger on it. Looking back and forth he decided that the cloaked person was the better choice based on the way they looked as of now.

Right as Kirito was about to get up and move towards the red cloaked person he heard a familiar sounding shout coming from the back of the theatre. "Oi, Kirito get over here." Kirito turned around to see Naruto and Percy standing at the foot of the stairs. Before walking to his friends he looked to both people he was originally going to talk to and was happy to see that no one was approaching them yet and they didn't seem to be in any rush to leave.

Kirito rushed up the stairs to make the most out of his friends great timing, with a plan on his mind he began to spew words out of his mouth to his brothers in arms "Okay you two quickly go over there and talk to that menacing looking girl and get her to join our party for the boss raid." Not giving the two a smidge of a chance to glance at the girl he continued on, "I'm going to go to the person in the red cloak and ask them to join our party." Kirito was back on his way to the person in the red cloak before the two could even say "Okay" or even give any form of confirmation that they knew what to do.

Kirito slid next to the person in the dark red cloak; they wore white pants and red boots and was wielding a rapier. With a look of determination Kirito said "Did you get left out?"

With a light voice the person responded "I didn't get left out. Everyone else seemed to be friends already, so I just stayed out of it."

With that Kirito understood why she was still sitting there alone "So you're a solo player than? Then do you want to group up with me?" At that the person turned toward him. "You heard what he just said, we can't beat the boss on our own and it would only be for this fight." The person in the cloak nodded and Kirito quickly had his menu out, fast to send a invite to the person sitting in front of him. When she accepted Kirito could see that two new health bars were on his screen, Sinon which he had to assume was the girl in green and Asuna the person sitting in front of him.

Kirito felt a tap on his shoulder and noticed Asuna looking above him; he turned around seeing Percy, a smiling Naruto, and a blank faced Sinon behind the two of them. "Hey man, so did he or she joined our party?" Kirito nodded. "Cool. So we're in a group of 5 then, this is Sinon by the way she's an archer, she and I actually met before." The girl gave a slight wave and a small smile before she returned to her previous demeanor. "It's nice to meet you, Sinon." Kirito grinned. Then he remembered the girl sitting next to him; he looked to her saying "Oh this is Naruto and Perseus they're also in our party." Naruto waved. Perseus shined a pearly white smile "You can just call me Percy." With everyone introduced they all sat down to listen to what else Diabel had to say.

"Okay, are you done forming your parties?" Diabel began "Now than –"

"Hold up a sec!" He was cut off from someone in the crowd. A short dude with spiky hair that somewhat looked like the ball of a mace, consecutively jumping from the top of the theater stands down to the bottom of the stands and onto the stage, just barely making a safe landing. "My name's Kibaou. Got that? There's something I want to say before we take on the boss. Some of you here need to apologize to the 2000 people who have died so far!" There were some quiet murmurs coming from the crowd. Getting who he was referring to Kirito, Naruto, and Perseus' heads all looked down a bit with minor guilt. Hearing what Kibaou was getting to Diabel stepped in "Kibaou, these people you're referring to… do you mean the ex-beta testers, perhaps?" With a furious look on his face, Kibaou stomped his foot down "Of course I do! On the day this stupid game started, the beta guys ditched us beginners, and they disappeared. They took all the good hunting spots and easy quests for themselves so they were the only ones getting stronger. And since then, they've just ignored the rest of us. There's got to be some of them here! Guys who were beta testers!" He pointed a finger to the stands "We should make them get on their knees and apologize, and give up all the items and money they've hoarded. As party members, we can't trust them with our lives, and they can't trust us."

Kirito began to shake with guilt until someone else with a deep voice began to speak. "Can I say something?" A tall man with dark skin and medium weight armor stood up in the crowd. He was bald and had a black beard. He wielded a large Battle-Axe. "My name is Agil. Kibaou, let me get this straight… you're saying that because the ex-beta testers didn't take care of them, many beginners died. That they should take responsibility, apologize and provide compensation. Is that right?"

With nervousness showing in his eyes Kibaou responded "Y-yeah."

Agil grabbed a small book from is pocket raising it up so that Kibaou and everyone else could see, "You received this guidebook too, didn't you? It was provided for free at the item store, after all."

"Sure, I got it… So what if I did?"

Agil frowned "It was the ex-beta testers who were distributing these." Once again the stands began questioning what they were hearing. "Listen up. Everyone had equal access to this information. And yet, many players still died. What to learn from those failures and how to try to defeat the boss… That's what I thought we'd be discussing here." Kibaou reluctantly sat down Agil soon following him.

Diabel returned to the center of the stage. "All right. Okay, can we get back to the meeting now? As for information on the boss… Actually the latest edition of that guidebook was just issued. According to it, the boss's name is Illfang the Kobold Lord. Also, he has an entourage known as the Ruin Kobold Sentinels. The boss is armed with an axe and a buckler shield. He has four health bars, and when the last one is in the red, he switches to a curved sword-type weapon called a Talwar. His attack pattern changes too." The crowd began to murmur in awe of the boss. Diabel closed his book. "That concludes the briefing. Lastly, regarding item distribution, money will be automatically divided equally. EXP goes to the party that defeats the monster. And whoever receives an item keeps it. Any objections?" The crowd was silent "Okay, we leave tomorrow, at 10 in the morning. Meeting adjourned."

The meeting now over, everyone began to stand up and leave. The person in the dark red cloak left without a word. Kirito seeing her leave reacted quickly to keep up with them "I'll catch up with you all later." At that Kirito left.

First Floor: Tolbana, Ramen Ichiraku

With Percy, Naruto, and Sinon

It had seemed that in this world there were many restaurants that served various types of ramen to Naruto's relief. Currently Perseus, Naruto, Sinon, and of course Kurama were in one of those restaurants Naruto was downing his 3rd bowl of ramen and Kurama was on his second. In the midst of Naruto's eating Percy got to know Sinon with Naruto jumping into the conversation once or twice. "So, Naruto if Sinon killed the monster at the quest in one shot how come according to you it took you a while to beat Kurama?"

Hearing those words come from Perseus' mouth Naruto began to remember that he had almost gotten attacked back then, when he heard small giggles coming from Sinon and noticed the signature smirk on Perseus' face he realized that he had to say something quick. "I'm pretty sure that the quest had different monsters that we could face. If not then Sinon would also have a demon fox for a pet since she did kill the monster before I fought Kurama."

Percy was surprised by how quickly he came up with a semi-smart sounding response "Nice." Was all Percy had to say in response to Naruto. Since Naruto was already digging into his food once again Perseus decided to make conversation with Sinon. Since he had met her Percy was examining her in attempt to get a 'feel' of her. All Percy got from her so far was that she was calm, cool, collected, and she had a nice heart, but she could still be pretty intimidating. She had reminded him of Annabeth very much. Although even thinking about his late girlfriend hurt he couldn't stop himself before he could even realize that there were tears flowing from his eyes.

"Are you okay Perseus?" Sinon was tapping his shoulder with a concerned look on her face.

Percy looked up at her, realizing that he let his train of thought wonder, leading himself in a place he didn't want to be. He quickly got back on track whipping his eyes. "It's just Percy." He told her with a soft smile. "Hey Sinon, what can you tell us about yourself?"

Sinon seemed a bit rattled but then retained her composure, "Well there's not really much to tell. In terms of video games I don't usually play MMORPGs like SAO, I'm more into MMOFPS games, but I'm trapped in here like the rest of everyone because I just couldn't miss out on the first ever VRMMO. Unfortunately for me that wasn't a good choice of mine." She finished with a half-smile.

Naruto was just nodding in full understanding to what she was saying. But Perseus was suspicious; he got the feeling that she was hiding something about herself from them. Knowing what it's like to have to hide something from others Percy decided that prying was a bad choice in this situation, especially since they had only met her not long ago. He made an executive decision to change the subject. "So, Naruto you seem to be done eating how would you like to battle me? I feel like a duel or two would be a great way to get us primed for the dungeon and the boss battle tomorrow."

Naruto stood up quickly looked at his brother in everything but blood with a wicked smile. "Okay let's do it. It'll be just the two of us; I'll keep Kurama on the side lines. I'm going to win believe it!" At that Kurama hopped on Naruto's shoulder and the two were out of the restaurant before Percy could even say where they would be dueling.

Perseus rose to his feet and turned to Sinon "Alright, knowing Naruto, he's going to want spectators to see this and he's going to want this to be serious. So he's probably going to be at the Amphitheatre with a crowd waiting for us. Let's hurry over there." Perseus took off towards the Amphitheatre with Sinon on his tail.

First Floor: Tolbana, Amphitheatre

As Percy approached the Amphitheatre he could hear roars of the people that were getting psyched for the duel. One he officially entered the Amphitheatre all the spectators went silent, a suspenseful feeling filling the air. As Percy walked down the steps getting closer and closer to the stage he could feel the eyes watching him. Perseus noticed Kurama off sitting down at the bottom of the steps. Once Perseus reached the bottom of the step he immediately equipped his legendary spear Riptide. With his other hand he sent the duel request to Naruto instantly exhilarating the crowd. The duel would be in Half Loss Mode: The winner is decided after the other player loses half of their HP. Naruto accepted the request confidently smirking at Percy. The two assumed ready stances.

3 "Three!" the crowd was shouting with the countdown.

Begin "Fight!"

Naruto quickly rushed Percy hoping to get a quick Crit off, creating an advantage, and then backing out before his could get injured. Percy being the hardened fighter he was managed to dodge the strike, but couldn't get a counter attack off.

The two were back to where they began. They started to circle one another analyzing what the other would do. Perseus faked a weakness in-order to get Naruto to charge him yet again, you could feel Naruto's smirk moving from a distance right as he dashed to Perseus taking the offensive. Naruto's attacks were abnormally fast, strike after strike after strike headed Percy's way with no foreseeable ending point. Perseus blocked most of the attacks with the shaft of his spear, hardly taking any damage from the attacks that did it because of his massive amount of HP for a low level player and with the help of a constantly growing Blessing of Achilles.

Perseus noticed that Naruto's next attack would be a Hail Mary for his neck, so with haste he hopped back an inch dodging the attack. Naruto failed to catch himself due to all the momentum he put into that attack. Perseus took the open chance, and pierced Naruto's arm down into the ground. He followed up that move, using his spear like a Pole to vault behind Naruto while pulling his spear out from Naruto's arm. The crowd was wild by now, but at this point Naruto and Perseus had both drowned the out focusing completely on the battle.

From behind Naruto, Perseus hacked and slashed away at Naruto's back a multitude of times until he stopped to charge a sword skill. His spear now glowing brightly, he trusted his spear into the shoulder of his opponent, who was now facing him. During this the crowd had become silent trying to focus on the battle as much as possible as it seemed to be coming to an end.

Naruto pulled the spear out of his should and used all his strength to push Perseus to the floor. Naruto, with a huge hole in his shoulder, quickly mounted his friend. Once on top of him Naruto began to attack Perseus' neck landing a «Critical Strike» Naruto began to charge up a sword skill with his currently working arm. When he heard the crowd erupting in cheers and claps Naruto looked up to see that the fight ended in a draw between the two, both had gotten to the other to 50% at the same time. Most likely due to the bleeding they were both facing.

Naruto rose up off of Perseus and helped his friend up using his good arm. Once standing up the two simultaneously took out health potions and drank up. When they were done the two were laughing off the battle with vigor. People began to leave the stadium and Perseus and Naruto were still laughing and talking. Once just about everyone was gone the two picked up Kurama and talked to Sinon for a bit before the 3 went their separate ways, Sinon to wherever she was staying, and the boys back to their room within the inn. Perseus quickly went to sleep, and Naruto stood up playing with Kurama and eating a bit more.

Later;
First Floor: Tolbana
With Kirito and Asuna

Kirito caught up to Asuna seeing her eat bread "Those are pretty tasty aren't they?" Asuna looked up to him not saying a word. "Mind if I sit down?" She continued to eat her bread. Taking that as a yes Kirito sat down next to her, leading her to scoot down a bit from him. Kirito took out the same type of bread and begun to eat it.

Asuna stopped eating when she noticed Kirito eating the same bread. "Do you really think it's good?"

"Of course. Ever since I came to this town, I've been eating at least one daily. I do change it up a little though." He said still chowing down on the food.

"Change it up?" Asuna inquired.

Kirito pulled out a vial and placed it between them. "Try putting some on the bread."

The girl slowly reached over to the vial and tapped the top. She gasped in surprise when her finger began to glow with bluish white energy. Asuna gently rubbed her finger over the bread cream appearing where her finger was. "Cream?" Without a response Kirito creamed his bread and continued to eat. The girl took a bite of the newly creamed bread, quickly eating it after tasting it with the cream.

"It's a reward for a quest called 'Cow's counter attack,' one village behind us. Want to know how to beat it?" Kirito offered.

Asuna shook her head. "I didn't come to this town to eat good food."

Kirito was puzzled wondering why she said something as strange as that all of a sudden. "Okay then why did you come here?"

"So I don't lose sight of who I am. I'd rather stay myself until the very last moment than lock myself inside an inn back in the Town of Beginnings, and slowly rot away. Even if I'm defeated by a monster and die, I don't want to lose to this game… to this world. No matter what." Asuna told him looking down.

Kirito just continued eating "I wouldn't want a party member dying on me… So at the very least, don't die tomorrow."

December 3, 2022
First Floor: Tolbana, Forest Field
With: Raid Group

Kirito and the others were walking with the raid group heading straight for the dungeon, the group would finally be able to beat the first floor boss and return the hope to fight to the spirits of all the living players currently in the game.

Kirito decided that now would be the best time to re-explain everything to the group. "Let's go over it again. As the leftover team, our target is the Ruin Kobold Sentinels, the boss's entourage."

Perseus let out a bored yawn "We know Kirito; we've gone over it like 100 times."

Kirito brushed what Perseus was saying off "We're going to split up into groups of 2 and Sinon will be in the distance protecting us from harm and creating cover fire for the 4 of us, while Kurama will be helping you out by attacking them at their legs." Sinon gave a confirming nod and Kurama gave a squeaky bark. "Percy and Naruto will be the first group. Percy you should incapacitate the enemies and then Naruto will jump in in-order to quickly go in and take them out in one hit." Perseus and Naruto gave confirmation that they understood their part. Kirito turned to Asuna "You and I will be in the second group. I'll use a sword skill to knock their weapons up and out of the way. The second I do, you'll switch and jump in."

Asuna turned to him the hood on her cloak covering her look of confusion. "What's a switch?"

Kirito was taken aback at her lack of knowledge. "Okay level with me… Is this the first time you've ever been in a party?"

She gave him a slight nod and responded with a soft "Yes." Kirito explained it to her and reached the dungeon right as they finished.

The dungeon was easy they raid party suffered no casualties and everyone was at the best shape they could be in. Right now they were at the door to enter the boss's room. Before they entered Diabel addressed the group. "I have only one thing to say. Let's win! Let's go." He pushed the doors opened and the entire raid group entered the room.

The room was dark one could barely see within it. At the far end of the room you could see the boss sitting in a huge throne. The room began to light itself, the boss jumped out of the seat onto the main floor, letting out a fierce roar. Illfang is over two meters tall, very muscular, and covered in dark red fur. He had a blue-gray patch of hair on his stomach shaped like a diamond within a diamond and his eyes were glowing bloodthirsty red. Before him three minions spawned and soon the 4 enemies began to charge. "Commence attack!" Diabel shouted pointing his sword towards the boss. With that everyone began to surge forward war cries coming from their mouths.

As the battle raged on the raid party has still not lost any members. This was thanks to Diabel's great micromanaging of the battle. He timed everything just well enough for us to have efficiently taken a massive amount of the boss's life and without anyone losing enough to be called lucky.

Diabel was still spewing orders to keep everything inline "Squad A! Squad C! Switch!" they were quick to follow his orders. "Squad B, block!" The defense squad was quick to deflect the bosses attack. "Squad C, keep guarding and prepare to switch. Now, as you fall back prepare to attack from the side!" Squad C was on the flank of the boss before Diabel could finish his sentence. "Squads D, E, and F, keep the sentinels off us!" Diabel made sure to not leave anyone out.

Kirito, listening attentively to what he had to say, responded to him for the entire group "Yeah you got it!" He rushed a minion that was getting ready to strike and forced him back. "Switch!"

Asuna dashed to the enemy with haste. "I'm on it!"

Kirito was amazed at her battle prowess. He thought she was a beginner but he realized that her dexterity was incredible to say the least. She was so fast that it was that he couldn't even see the tip of her sword. Asuna struck the enemy with 3 extremely fast Linear sword skills, easily killing the enemy. Kirito couldn't help but commend her work. "Good job."

At the same time Sinon and Kurama were keeping a second enemy back from either group's continuously causing it to flitch due to the arrows that were constantly hitting its body. She kept the enemy's focus with all the damage that she was doing to it, but she was never hit because of the amazing and surprising distance that she took from the rest of the raid group and the rest of the archers by comparison. Along to support her Kurama would bite at their legs slowing there movement even more, and with his small body it was very hard for them to hit him.

Meanwhile Perseus and Naruto were being extremely leisure with their fighting. All Percy had to do was accurately throwing his spear in pin them to the ground or stab them down into the floor while Naruto would swoop in and slice its neck, the duo would successfully kill each monster in two hits neither even taking close to a blow.

Kirito's fighting system for the 5 of them was perfect his way no one was ever harmed in the fighting. It wasn't long before the boss was in the red zone of his last health bar. It would be the time when he would switch weapons and get a new attack pattern and sword skills. That was when Diabel took it on his own to tell everyone else to stand back and that he'd kill it with a sly smirk on his face. He charged the boss with his shield in front of him and a sword skill charged on his long sword.

When the boss had finally equipped his second weapon Kirito realized that it wasn't a Talwar, like the guide book had said, but rather a No-Dachi and that Kayaba must have changed some things from the Beta. Naruto and Perseus must have realized the same thing because the three boys had all shouted "It's no good! Jump back as fast as you can!" But Diabel was too far to hear.

The boss began to jump around from pillar to pillar charging a sword skill throughout. Once the boss's skill was fully charged he descended quickly and sliced Diabel from his left shoulder down to his right hip. Diabel was blasted back a few feet but no one could do anything because the boss jumped into the middle of the raid party.

"Diabel!" Kirito ran over to Diabel priming a health potion for him to use. "Why did you try to do it alone?" Even though his health was depleting and he was already in the red zone Diabel rejected the health potion.

Keeping the health potion away from himself, Diabel barely let out "You were a beta tester, weren't you?"

Surprised that Diabel had realized Kirito froze in his place. "You were after the last hit rare item. You were a beta-tester too weren't you?"

Diabel gave him a soft smile. "Please… Defeat… Defeat the boss, for everyone here."

In Kirito's arms Diabel's body split into thousands of prismatic polygons symbolizing his death. Kirito's eyes swelled with tears and he could hear Naruto and Perseus crying behind him.

When the death game began all the boys really cared about was how they were going to survive. They could remember leaving, Klein and like it was nothing. But Diabel… even though he was a beta tester, he never abandoned the other players. He led everyone, and he fought brilliantly. He tried to do what… what we couldn't do.

Kirito stood up anger shining in his eyes, the same anger that was glinting through Naruto and Perseus's eyes. Naruto let out a feral roar and so did Kurama a bright light came from Kurama and when it went away in his place was a much bigger beast not as big as what Naruto described him but he was the size of an adult Great Dane, not the size of Lady O'Leary but almost. Naruto was left panting but still ready to charge. Asuna soon joined the 4 of them.

Kirito taking the lead began to charge "You all know what to do!"

Kirito rushed in to the boss's range being the first one to reach. He deflected its first attack. Asuna followed up hitting a multi linear combo on it knocking it away. As it got back up it prepared a sword skill, but Perseus redirected its strike. The boss was then hit with a barrage of arrows from Sinon.

The boss tried to get back up but failed when it was hit with a massage ranged attack that came from Kurama. Some type of ball of energy that did a great amount of damage. But that attack took all the energy from Kurama and Naruto and both passed out and Kurama shrunk back down to its normal state.

This time the boss got up and would not play around he charged Asuna who couldn't get an attack in. "Asuna!" Kirito warned her of the incoming attack, so she barely dodged the boss's attack but the cloak she was wearing got sliced and destroyed. Angry that his party member was almost hurt Kirito rushed at the boss, the two exchanged blows before Kirito could no longer keep up, the boss sliced him in the stomach throwing him back some distance and making him hit Asuna both collapsing on the ground.

The boss, now looming over Asuna and Kirito, charged a sword skill to unleash a final hit finishing off the both of them. Luckily for the two Agil quickly jumped in deflecting the attack with his own sword skill on his great axe. From behind Agil the rest of the raid group rushed in to the boss. Agil turned to the two players that were still on the floor. "We'll hold him off till you recover!"

"You got it." was all Kirito could say in response. At the Agil and the other began to send their attack straight to the boss.

The boss was able to deflect every attack going its way and all its attackers blasting away. It hopped in the air and charged a sword skill. Kirito, Perseus, and a woken up Naruto all stood up yelling for everyone to look out.

Together the 3 charged the boss. Perseus jumped high in the air charging a sword skill where he went spiraling downwards into the boss redirecting where it landed. From the ground Naruto and Kirito ran at the boss. Kirito blocked the boss's first attack and Naruto slashed it with both weapons using a 4 hit combo sword skill. Kirito rushed ahead of Naruto to catch the now flying back boss. He Slashed it once straight across in body, and followed up with a vertical attack effectively cleaving the boss in half.

In the air the boss had obliterated into prismatic shapes showing that it died, and a huge 'Congratulations!' screen showed up for everyone to see. With the boss dead and the battle over the Raid Party erupted in cheers happy that they had finally defeated the boss. In the back Kirito and his brothers were all on the ground panting from this exhausting battle. Kirito had earned the last hit bonus; an item called «Cloak of Midnight»

From behind the 3 panting boys Agil and Asuna walked up to them to congratulate their hard work. "Nine job." Was all Asuna had to say. Now that he cloak was destroyed everyone got a good look at her. She had long, orange-brownish chestnut hair and hazel eyes. She wore a lightweight copper breastplate and leather pants. Above that she wore a jack with white long sleeves and red on the back and front. She also had a short dress that was mostly white but the end bottom was red, attached to a belt was her rapier sheath.

"That was splendid fighting you all showed out there. Congratulations. Today's victory is all thanks to you all." Agil told them. When he concluded all the people from the far back began to clap for them.

There was one person who wasn't settled with the outcome. "Stop cheering! Why… Why did you let Diabel die?" Kibaou asked accusingly to the three of them.

Naruto stood up angrily. "Let him die!?"

Kibaou looked up with tears streaming from his eyes. "Of course! You knew what technique the boss would use! If you'd all given us that information up front, he wouldn't have died!"

The other members of the raiding party began to murmur suspiciously, up until one person spoke up. "They must be ex-beta testers! That's how they knew all about the boss's attack patterns. They knew, but they kept it from us!" The crowd was stunned at his accusations. "There's gotta be others here too, right? Those beta testers! Come out!"

The crowd began looking around questioning who could be a beta tester. Percy tapped Kirito on the shoulder. "This is bad. At this rate what Diabel wanted will be all in vain." Kirito was hit with the questioning gazes of Naruto, Perseus, and even Kurama. "Yeah we have to act fast Kazu." Naruto added in.

Agil, Asuna, and Sinon all took effort to calm everyone down but it was to no avail as Kirito had already come up with a plan. Kirito and Naruto began to laugh. Kirito took the liberty to speak for the group. "Ex-beta testers, did you say? I wish you wouldn't compare us to those newbies."

This time Naruto jumped in. "Most of the 1000 people who won SAO beta tests slots were beginners who didn't even know how to level up." While saying this, the 3 began to walk towards the stairs to the 2nd floor.

"Even you guys are better than them." Percy added with a chuckle.

Kirito took the lead again. "But we're not like those guys. During the beta rest, we made it to higher levels than anyone else was able to reach. The reason we knew about the boss's sword skills was because we fought tons of monsters with those skills on floors far above us." Kirito's face took on a dangerous look. "I know lots of other things too; way more than any information broker."

The crowd had gone silent. "That's… That's way worse than a beta tester! That's cheating! You're a cheater. That's what you are!" Kibaou shouted. The crowed following his lead.

"A beta tester and a cheater… They're beaters." Someone shouted.

"A beater… that's a good name, that's right." The crowd was more than surprised. "Okay we're beaters. From now on, don't confuse any of us with the other testers. Kirito equipped his Cloak of Midnight, and the three walked up the stairs to the next floor.

Asuna and Sinon walked up after them. "You called my name when we were fighting." Asuna said.

Kirito didn't even look back. "I wasn't trying to be rude. Did I mess up the pronunciation?"

"How did you even learn it?" Asuna inquired with Sinon standing at his side.

"If you look up you'll see about 5 other HP gages under yours."

She giggled. "Oh, so it was written there all this time, and I never new."

Kirito turned to face the exit, with Percy leaning against a pillar on one side, and Naruto standing on the other holding a sleeping Kurama facing Sinon and Asuna. "You can be powerful. So if someone you trust ever invites you to join a guild, don't turn them down." He told her standing straight as a tree. "Because, there's an absolute limit to what you can do as a solo player.

Asuna took a step forward "Then what about you guys, are you guys going to form a guild?"

Kirito opened his menu and kicked Sinon and Asuna from the party. He and Percy walked through the gate just after.

Naruto smiled "Bye Sinon, Asuna. It was great to meet you." Kurama barked happily before the two ran after their companions through the gate.

Well I really hope you enjoyed, that was my longest chapter yet! (for any story) I'm trying to pace my uploads to suit myself better. Of course if I get really ahead I won't hold you all hanging.

Next chapter Naruto will start training in martial arts.

Right now it's not much he takes maybe 2% less damage and does 2% more damage than anyone who had his same stats without the Blessing of Achilles takes. As he fights it will slowly but surly upgrade until the point where he can truly be an unstoppable force, all except for that one spot. Yeah I like making references so I'm going to try to include them.

8-bit thief: Yeah poor Kamina he didn't even have a sword. You know what? Klein probably did the quest and took the sword so now Kamina didn't have the chance to protect Simon.

kenking: Not even Percy understands just how it works yet but I'll fill you in. The spear will gain a small percentage of Percy's experience so say Percy gets 50 exp the spear will only get 5. As for the necklace, Why would Naruto wear that when there is no Kyuubi inside of him? Try to think a little outside the box. As for the last point. Search up Unique Skills for SAO and you might get a hint of what's going to happen. Without a doubt Naruto will be a full fledged ninja, but I'm still deciding whether I want chakra in this yet.
