Saffron City – 10:04PM
As soon as the bullet enters the lower left side of Sue's stomach, a fresh burst of bright red blood exploded and gushed. It all landed on her red mini-skirt and stained the ground with the crimson substance. Sue herself stumbled back a few steps and collapsed backwards, her body going completely limp in shock and her hair sprawled in all directions on the cold ground. Pikachu's whole world slowed in front of his eyes, watching the teen girl fall back in slow-motion, the blood drooling from the dark red hole in her body, travelling down her green tank-top, mini skirt and her thighs.
The initial 'THUD!' of her body hitting the ground shook through his ears with echoes that never seemed to stop. Pikachu's eyes widened in shock, witnessing the act of a fond friend being brutally shot for no reason. When all of it was over and after his brain digested the cold hearted fact that this was not a dream and all this is for real time completely stopped. It is as if time was playing a game for its own amusement, pausing, so Pikachu could continue watching the tortuous event. He has never watched death unfold before his eyes…ever.
Sue…you never wanted this, all you wanted was to love everything you had especially live itself, even though it would throw you down occasionally. You'd do what you can to save the life of anything. And you're only human, you weren't designed by God to do any of that. And now…I let you die. I won't let it, I WON'T ACCEPT IT! I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING TO BLOW!
The overhead lights above that surrounded Pikachu and the burglar flashed and crackled in yellow light until finally turning off leaving their area in darkness.
And I won't…I WON'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!
Pikachu quickly sucked in air through his nose and opened his mouth to scream as loud as he can at the top of his lungs causing his voice to crackle. Pure anger and his lust for vengeance has let Pikachu to overcharge and raise his power level to enormous heights. His once soft, smooth fur now stuck up like spikes and his whole body glowed bright gold illuminating their dark part of the street. Electricity surrounded his body, disappearing and reappearing every few seconds in a form of a dark blue colour. Pikachu's eyes turned dark blue as well that glowed and had large white pupils in the middle. He finally relaxed and settle on all fours staring deep into the man in black.
The burglar was in shock to see the Pokemon transform in an instant but wasn't actually scared. "Argh, now you deserve it!" he barked and fired two very accurate shots at Pikachu's head. The bullets stopped in their tracks and bounced off Pikachu's head. They didn't even leave a mark. The electric rodent gritted his teeth in anger that the burglar attempted to kill him other than leaving him.
"No, you deserve it," Pikachu growled. He charged his Iron Tail attack using pure electricity and jumped forward towards the burglar at amazing speed. As soon he was at face height of the burglar and about twelve inches away, Pikachu rotated his whole body and swung his tail to attack using the corner to cut an inch deep into his throat. Blood shot off to the side and the burglar feel to his knees. He held his throat with both hands chocking and struggling for breath while more blood escaped. Pikachu landed on all fours and watched with pleasure the burglar suffering in pure agony. Soon he collapsed onto his face and lay there lifeless.
Pikachu finally relaxed fully and powered into his normal state. The incredible power has led him to the point of killing another human being. It felt almost as if he was possessed by a spirit of evil or vengeance. Pikachu felt powerful and stronger than ever. But he couldn't think about that now because his friend was in distress or rather hanging on a thread of life.
All the lights in the surrounding area all lit back to life and glowed bright with confidence. Pikachu found Sue laying her back against one of the black light poles. She was incredibly pale and is having trouble holding her gun-shot wound. Pikachu quickly ran over to her left side where the wound was. "Pikachu," Sue whispered in a weak voice. "That was…amazing," she said to him. Though the electric Pokemon found this a little odd that she's giving out a compliment and this sort of time.
"I'm going to help you," said Pikachu. He ran over the Sue's belt of six Pokemon that lay near the burglar's dead body. He inspected the balls until he finally found her Aerodactyl and Alakazam. He detached the balls and released both of them. "Alakazam try to help Sue with the wound and stop the bleeding," he told the Psychic Pokemon. "Aero, get me to Copycat's house," And with that Pikachu jumped onto the back of Aerodactyl and flew off. Alakazam meanwhile helped its trainer with her wound using its Psychic powers.
"We have to go now!" Pikachu informed both Copycat and his Master, Red. So Red along with Copycat and Pikachu rode Aerodactyl to help her.
About an hour later: Red sat outside the room where Sue was being kept. She lay almost as if she was already dead. He couldn't take in the fact that any could kill someone else. For his whole life just like Pikachu he has never killed or watched get killed before. Sue's blood stains covered a large portion of Red's black T-shirt and red vest. Alakazam did a fairly good job at keeping the wound closed and keeping the blood in. Copycat sat next to Red and acted somewhat as his emotional support.
"Hey, you alright?" she asked rubbing his shoulder.
Red slowly shook his head. "I don't know. It's weird,"
Copycat didn't what to say after that. She sat there is silence but tried here best to comfort him. It was a boy who just came back from living on a mountain of three years and this is what happens to him? Not the sort of welcoming you want after all that. The young girl understood what happened but knew full well that Red is a strong person and care deeply for his friends. Only Sue, Amy and she knew that. Gary on the other hand doesn't, mainly because they're just good friends and he's a boy. And this is Gary, he doesn't understand anything emotionally about Red, just that he was a good friend and powerful rival.
Pikachu meanwhile was in the Sue was being kept in, sitting on her lap. He knew that Sue was going to be alright. His Pokemon instincts and intuition just knew that she would be strong enough to survive, even with a bullet to the stomach. So other than worry himself too much he thought about the incredible power he unlocked during his fight with the burglar. He never felt anything like it before. The last time he did something like that was during his battle with Gary's Charizard. It was the battle that decided the winner between Gary and his trainer Red, who at the time was called Edward. Charizard was Gary's last and so was Pikachu being Red's last Pokemon.
The fight was intense, Charizard had the upper hand for most the match but Pikachu managed a good fight and put all of his effort. Dur the last few moments of the final round Pikachu unlocked the similar hidden power inside him and brought it out. He charged his Thunderbolt attack to about three times the normal power. At the last second he used Volt Tackle to position himself behind the dragon at such speed it almost looked like he teleported. And then Pikachu finally released the Thunderbolt attack and finished the fight.
Red at the time couldn't believe what Pikachu had done. He used the combination of his super-charged Thunderbolt move with Volk Tackle. Never has he seen anything like it but was completely satisfied with the result anyway. Pikachu granted the wish Red had dreamed of for so many years. With a Pokemon he never really or really liked turned him into his most beloved Pokemon. Pikachu sighed loudly reminiscing about all of his good memories back in the day. "Life was so simple then," he thought to himself. "Sometimes I wish I could go back and do it all again," Then the door opened. "Pi?" Pikachu chirped.
"Visiting time is over," Red said. "Come on, let's go home,"
"But what about Sue?" Pikachu asked.
"She's not going to wake up,"
Pikachu didn't understand what his master just said. 'She's not going to wake up' meaning she's never going to wake up? Or she's not going to wake up tonight? Hopefully he didn't mean the first because that would not be the Red he knew, giving up so easily. As Red and Pikachu were about to leave. "If you need anything, I'll be happy to help," said Copycat.
Red stared at her with his dark red eyes which seemed to intimidate her a little. "Thanks," he said.
Copycat's tense body relaxed. When Red left with his Pokemon Copycat stood in the hallway all alone. A little too soon to be honest because a nurse came by who treated Sue approached. "Excuse me," she said in a sweet soft tone. "Are you the one who brought it this girl?"
"Yeah," Copycat answered.
"Can I have your number? We'll be able to call tomorrow about her condition,"
"Is it bad?"
"Well to be honest I don't know. Only tomorrow can tell. Either she does or doesn't make it. We've done all we can to keep her alive. Hopefully it was enough,"
So Copycat gave here number to the nurse. So all she could do now was wit until to tomorrow for the good or bad news. If she gets the bad news, how is she going to break it to Red and Pikachu? And what about Gary, Daisy and Professor Oak? She wasn't really good at this sort of thing and doesn't want to be held responsible for telling the news to her friends and family. Oh why was she given this job? Hopefully it's the good news so it'll easier for her to tell and better for to know that she saved a life of her friend.
