Arizona was right. For weeks Callie avoided her even more than before their incident in the exam room. She even made excuses that caused other people to have to hand off Sofia to avoid even the necessary contact. Often times she sent residents to answer any pages that involved Arizona. It sucked even worse than before, but Arizona knew this was her life now and she had to get used to it. Hopefully, someday they could at least be friends so she could have Callie back into her life.

It was about 3 weeks later and Sofia was over at Meredith's for a sleepover. Usually nights like this she had spent spoiling her wife and they would make love, talk, and enjoy each other for hours. Instead, she was going to bed early trying desperately not to think about where Callie might be right now. She had heard through the grapevine that Callie was going out a lot and even dating now. That night three weeks ago Callie hadn't been ready to move on, but something must have switched because she jumped back into it pretty quickly after that. Arizona wished she had that kind of closure or desire to even think about dating.

At about 3 in the morning, Arizona was woken up by an incessant knocking on the door. She couldn't believe that Alex nor Jo had woken up to that sound and figured it was one of their drunken friends. Probably one of the idiot residents. Finally, she got out of bed and made her way down to the front door only to see Callie through the glass. She quickly opened the door and said, "It's the middle of the night, what are you doing here?"

"It's everything I want too," Callie blurted out not making any sense to Arizona.

"What? To stand on the doorstep in the middle of the night?"

"No, you, us," Callie said motioning between them and stepping inside, "What I meant to say is that I can get the things you said a few weeks ago out of my head. I have been running over and over it in my head. And I have been trying to move on and forget. But why? Why can't we do things differently? Why can't we try again? I don't want anyone else, I want you."

"Wow," was all Arizona could say because she was stunned and pretty sure she was dreaming. She was certain she would soon be woken up by Alex and Jo going at it again across the hall.

"Just wow. Um okay, I guess you don't have to give me an answer right now, just ahh, just think about it," Callie stammered.

"Oh no, I don't need to think about it. I was just stunned and, dream or not, I have no doubt that I would do anything to be with you again. It's all I want."

"Okay, so good, yeah, um…" Callie hadn't really planned her next move after the big speech if Arizona said yes.

"So where do we go from here?" Arizona asked.

"Well, we have to get married again, and you have to move back in, we have to tell Sofia…..and I think we should go back to counseling for a while because we still have to work through our problems and learn how to communicate better. Oh damn, I hope she doesn't take away sex again because I already really miss sex and I was looking forward to us making that a regular thing again. Like I really reallllly need it. Oh and…"

"Calliope, stop!" Arizona exclaimed.

"What?"

"Do you hear yourself? There are a lot of steps between now and me moving back in or us getting married again."

"But I want it all, don't you?"

"Of course I do, but I don't want to rush anything and just pretend like we are fine. That destroyed us last time. We have to do this the right way this time. I want all of that. I want everything back, but better than before. To do that, we are going to have to take it slow and rebuild us."

"When did you become so level-headed?"

"Babe, I have always been the more rational one. You think with your heart first and I love you for it, but right now we have to use our heads and hearts."

"Whatever you say, but we can still have sex right?" Callie questioned.

"Are you propositioning me Miss Torres?" Arizona said lightening the mood and lifting her right eyebrow.

"That's future Mrs. Robbins-Torres to you!" Callie said as she basically jumped Arizona.

Arizona smiled into the kiss and managed to mumble out, "Bedroom, now."

Not sure if I am going to end it here or not. Suggestions?
