Chapter 4: Normandy SR-2
Garrus walked into the room where Richard and Hannah Shepard were having their argument and stopped Richard from hitting Hannah by grabbing his wrist and pulling him into the wall grabbing the collar of his shirt with his other hand. Hannah was surprised to say the least. "I heard that you like to hit women that don't listen to your orders" Garrus said his face close to Richards.
Kelina looked towards her mom to see if she was alright and she was. "Umm sir I had this taken care of?" Hannah spoke keeping her hands to her sides.
"Mom there was something I should have told you a long time ago " Kel started, but she heard something come out of Richard mouth.
"You will not say a word" he said only for Hannah to glare at him.
"What was it you was going to say honey?" Hannah said going up to her daughter.
"He struck Melody when she came to visit us when she enlisted into alliance. She was defending me because apparently I had done something that wasn't of his standards and he was going to hit me, but Mel took the blunt of the blow. Mel had this look of pure hatred then at Father for it and it wasn't the first time the first time he hit her was when the two of you were together and a soldier had cleaned up the mess hall, but not to Father Standards and well you can guess the rest Mel stood in between that one as well" Kel said
Hannah looked to Richard with disgust "Richard you can just hit people if they mess up you have to give them a stern lecture or other wise they won't respect you if you don't. IF I ever see you raise a hand to our daughters again I will take it to the Alliance board and had you tried believe me I will."
Garrus placed Richard down, but Richard still didn't back down from that threat and Garrus wanting to make point to Hannah threat punched him Richard fell to the floor and he glared up to Garrus and the turian face was horrifying to see at least to Kelina opinion and was glad Garrus was here. Kelina grabbed Garrus's arm and pulled him away from her father.
"Garrus thank you for your help" Kel said Garrus nodded his head and watched Richard leave the room and most likely to leave the entire building and the three of them left the room as well only to be stopped by Anderson. Garrus had said his farewells and shook Hannah hand in condolences and left he had a shuttle to get to.
After dealing with the situation on Freedom progress and reuniting with Tali if only a short period of time. I had asked her if she wanted to Join, but she had refused saying she had her own thing she was doing now. I respected that and let the topic drop now I was standing there after my conversation with the illusive man was over pondering what he had meant.
I turned to the door when I heard it opening and I was stunned to say the least there stood Joker and I went to him and hugged him to me tears welling up in my eyes and I cried. "Geez Shepard I didn't know you missed me that bad" Joker said teasing lightly which cause me to laugh slightly as I pulled away wiping at my eyes.
"It's good to see you Joker " I say as we started walking I didn't know where we were going, but Joker did he explained everything that had happened after the Normandy went down. I knew the council would do that very typical of them "Well everything is back to square one I suppose" I said trying not to think about it.
"Well after all that I join Cerberus since the alliance grounded me not one for sitting on my ass doing nothing they contacted me and I signed up " Joker explained coming to a stop in front of a set of windows I turned to look out the windows, but it was still too dark. "Besides that they're letting me fly again." he finished.
The lights flickered on and I gasped in awe there in front of me was a frigate that looked exactly the Normandy SR-1 except it looked slightly bigger. "Now she needs is a name " I say looking at Joker and we had one and off we had went. Miranda gave me a few leads to find more people for the mission I nodded my head and went to the bridge I had desperately wanted to speak more to Joker and having an AI aboard was a little strange for me.
Travis sat there in wonder the blue suns, blood pack, and the eclipse were working together and he was just a simple freelancer looking for some credits. His squad not that far away he wasn't that far away from the drop point when he saw sky car land. He watched as three people got out of the sky car and he could have sworn one of them looked like his cousin. I turned to look in front of me before a blue sun merc stepped in front of me told me the details and I was off, but not before being stopped again.
"What is with all you mercs thinking they have to speak to me!" I said aggravated Travis laughed and crossed his arms giving me a stare down.
"Yep you are definitely my cousin" he said seeing the look in my eyes.
"Travis what the hell are you doing here?" I asked crossing my arms as well Travis straightened himself and turned to look down the way of where he needed to go.
"Apparently the three merc gang here are wanting to take out ArchAngel I'm here just doing it for the cash" Travis replied.
"Go Home Travis " I said
"I know my way around these guys better then you" he said his voice serious.
"I've killed enough of them that I can do it again I'm not here for ArchAngel death I'm here recruiting him!" I said quietly. Travis was alittle taken a back by it, but then his eyes went serious again.
"Then you need my help" he said
"No" I answered "I'm not putting my family in danger of the mission I'm on! You hear me! " I pointed out shoving my way past him.
"It can't be any different from your battle against Saren?" he said which caused me to stop.
"You're that adamant about helping me" I say keeping my back to him
"Yea I want to help and I know my way around a gun trust me for once " he said I sighed and turned to look at Miranda.
"I'll go back to the Normandy" she said ten minutes later we were already talking to Cathka after doing a few things to keep them from getting the upper hand. I talking to Cathka and shoving an electric tool into his armor and walking away with Travis and Jacob following her and jumping over the final barricade.
