I know it's been a while, sorry. I started midnights recently which means I start work at 11PM and don't get home till 7AM. Before that I was working day shift 7AM-3PM so as you can guess, I'm exhausted. I'll try and pull out chapters but sorry if I'm way late. I'm seriously whooped. Three jobs tend to kill you I guess. ^^;
Anders finally quieted himself, sitting silently on the chair next to the dining room door. In the other room he listened to his wife chat with her old friends from Britian. Sir Integra Hellsing and her damned butler had decided to visit. Why Sir Integra decided to randomly drop by without so much as a peep of warning, Anderson wasn't sure but he did know he didn't like it. They'd been given permission by the pope to visit 'anytime they pleased' and if her word wasn't enough a signed letter was proof. So, Anders grudgingly let them inside and with a solid grumpy growl went and woke up Seras.
"Yer damned vermin 'r 'ere ta visit." he snapped as he stomped down the basement stairs, eyes flashing as he turned his eyes to the closed coffin in the corner. Not bothering to pause he walked to it and banged his fist heavily on the lid. He waited until the lid groaned open and a confused yet groggy vampire appeared. He snorted at her. "Yer friends 'r 'ere."
"My friends?"
"Aye! That damned 'hore ferm England 'n 'ere damn butler!" Anders fumed as he grabbed her sharply by the scruff and hauled her straight out of the casket. She yelped in surprise, freezing her body in a lock as she frowned at him. He was furious by the looks of it, inwardly fuming as he stomped up the stairs with her still hanging from his grasp. Seeing her companions she blinked in surprise before a wide smile spread across her face. Anders just huffed at their startled frowns as he placed the now awake draculina on the floor. He glowered at them before turning and stalking into the other room.
"Well I can see he's warmed up quite nicely." Walter stated with a quirk of the eyebrow. "Why, with this much affection I can barely see past all the love!"
"He probably didn't know you were coming either." Seras chuckled awkwardly as she tried to defend the grouchy man. Seeing their disbelieving expressions she decided instead to turn the subject. "So, why are you here? Did something happen to England? Did Master come home?"
"No to both. I haven't seen nor heard from Alucard since the war." Sir Integra said with a narrow eyed frown. Seras blinked before glancing away, watching the ground in an almost confused frown. "No, we have to come to evaluate your times here. Seeing your alive still and untouched."
"You came just to visit me?" Seras blinked before a little smile started to crawl across her face. "Really?!"
"Indeed Mrs. Victoria." Walter mused while his eye twinkles. "See, the Queen and the Pope made the agreement that if you were to live in Ireland that we were able to come and evaluate you at least once a month. Therefor we're able to come and visit! At least, so long as the Iscariot know about it. So we'll probably be here quite a bit."
" 'sn't dat great." Anders snarled as he reappeared from the doorway looking cross. "Joos whoot weh need. Da damn 'nglish invad'n the land 'gain."
"Now now Anderson, we're only here to visit." Sir Integra sniffed. Anderson bristled darkly. "We aren't here to corrupt or take over. Just visiting an old friend."
"Indee'." Anders spat as he came to a stop beside Seras, glaring at all of them with disgust. He growled a bit before glancing down at the shifty eyed Draculina and let out a strained huff. Looking back at them his lip twitched. "Woul' ya like soomtin' ta eat 'r drink? Dere 'sn't nootin' fancy boot I sapoos ah 'ave ta show manners, even ta dose 'ho work with da devil."
"Some sandwiches would be nice. Walter, you go help him."
"Of course Sir." Walter bowed before walking to Anders side and they smiled at each other. Then like a poetic duo they left side by side and stiffer than bricks, Ander glancing one last time over his shoulder with an accusing glare. Seras winced and dropped her eyes back to the table. She felt like it was first day of Hellsing all over again.
"Has he been good to you?" Integra asked keeping her eyes Seras. "You don't appear beaten like I'd suspected."
"No no! He's actually pretty nice once you get to know him! He actually lets me garden and cook!" Seras blushed a bit as she glanced the other way and poked her fingers together. "O-of course he tends to have to watch me when I do it to make sure I don't do something wrong...or put in something weird..."
"Something weird?"
"I think he thinks I'll poison him." Seras giggled with a roll of her eyes. "I don't really see how I could, the worst it would do is give him belly aches right? Even if he did get poisoned, his healing would stop it!"
"...Should I ask how you know that?"
"I have another friend in the church. He has quite a few stories!" Seras giggled as she pulled up a seat and leaned in, putting her hand beside her lips as she whispered. "It was actually through him that I learned Anders has a tattoo!"
"...I beg your pardon?" Now Integra was leaning in, eyes narrowed with interest as she too put her hand beside her mouth and whispered. "Where?"
"...I'm not sure. He wouldn't tell me but it makes you wonder doesn't it? He always wheres so many clothes so I've hardly even seen any skin!" Seras pouted causing Integra to frown curiously. "I didn't ask him either though, I don't want him to get all puffy about it. I wonder what it is though?"
"Probably something to do with the church..." Integra said with a hum. "Most likely a cross."
"Oh that would be boring!" Seras puffed her cheek out before pausing and leaning in closer with a frown. "But where? On his back?"
"...Hmm. It could be likely...I wonder if its large?" At that moment Anders and Walter walked in, in hands sandwich and tea. The two women didn't seem to notice though as they continued their chattering, looking intense amongst their murmurs. Alex sighed as he gave the butler a glance over before opening his mouth to announce their finished product. That is, until his wife then decided to lean back and sigh, saying a sentence that chocked him of his words and stopped him dead in his tracks.
"I'll have to get him naked then I suppose. I mean, given the size of him it could be rather large! Anything could be done to it." Seras sighed crossing her arms. Integra nodded. Then with a shifted glance they both realized there was a pair of gaping men in the corner o the room, both with slacked jaws and Walter with his monocle fallen from his eye. The room fell into an awkward silence as male and female stared in shock at each other. Seras was the first to snap out of it, turning absolutely scarlette as she stuttered out excuses and a broken up version of an explanation. Yet still when she finally realized there was no amount of words to fix the situation she simply slammed her head on the table and hid her face from the world.
The room was awkwardly silent for a moment.
Then Anders suddenly roared in laughter, pushing the sandwiches on the table as he howled. He glanced down at the now startled vampire with an amused grin, his chuckles never leaving as he gave her his twinkly eyed smirk. She blushed heavily causing him to roar once more, forcing him to leave the room in a fit of snorts, giggles, and half finished sentences. Seras turned to look at Integra who slowly glanced back, clearing their throats as Integra tried to remain dignified despite the shrieks of laughter in the other room.
"We'll have those sandwiches now Walter."
Again, sorry for such a long wait. I'm a bit tired but I have the week off so I figured I'd do something for you guys. :) dont kill me! Sorry if Integra is OOC but I'm not good with her char yet. ;p
:D Merry christmas! Happy new year!
