Chapter 6
Jazmine's POV:
"Gosh I don't understand what's so special about that hussy."
"Tell me about it, I mean look at her she not even that pretty. Why wouldn't Huey want a real girl like us?"
"Hey she coming right now- hey Jazmine, how are you today?"
These girls acted like I couldn't hear them.
"I'm good, but you wish I wasn't."
"Huh? What are you talking about? Tell Huey that Keisha says hi."
And with that they walked out the changing rooms, but not before eying me down.
This was another of them days were all the girls turned their backs on me. I had to deal with this sort of thing every single day, since Huey was so popular among them. I wish they would leave me out of it. It's not my fault Huey doesn't want to date them, hell he doesn't even know who they are. I walked out and met Huey in the Gym.
"Whats the matter with you?" He asked me.
"Nothing. By the way Keisha says hi."
"Who the hell is Keisha?"
Point proven. That right there brought a smile back to my face.
"No body important." I simply said as I picked up a ball and began bouncing it off the wall.
Huey went back to reading his book on the bleachers.
"Mr. Freeman you could at least-"
Huey gave the Coach a frightening glare.
"Never mind." Coach Brice said as he walked away.
Huey definitely didn't need Gym, he was already fit to begin with. His muscles and that eight pack, oh god just thinking about it.
"Why is your face red?" He asked me.
"It's hot." I lied.
He ignored me and kept reading.
The bell had finally rung and it was lunch time.
"Jazzy how can you eat that? Don't you know what the food here is made out of?" Caesar asked as he watched me eat the meat loaf I had bought from the cafeteria.
"What? This is the best meat loaf in town."
Huey shook his head.
"Pig food is better than what they serve here." He said as he munched on his apple and kept reading.
"McHater rite, these niggas be puttin some weird shit in they food."
"Then why you eating it Riley?" Cindy asked as she watched him take a bite out of his fries.
"Cuz it good, damn nigga."
Cindy rolled her eyes.
"See." I simply said.
"So who's ready for tonight?" Caesar asked while taking a bite of his home made sandwich.
"Me Nigga!"
"Hell yeah, I'm ready."
"Me! Me! Me!"
Riley, Cindy, and I shouted at the same time.
"Don't get excited just yet." Huey said, bursting our happiness.
"And why not?" I asked him.
"Because, maybe it's to early to jump back in the streets. We should wait it out a bit more."
"What?!" We all said.
"But you said we could resume tonight."
"Jazmine is right, we've been waiting for this." Caesar backed me up.
"I don't care what I said, It's dangerous and we should lay low-"
"Well then I don't care of what you have to say! I'm going tonight, with or with out you!" And with that I got my stuff and stormed out the cafeteria.
Caesar's POV:
"You see what you done Freeman? Damn we just tryin to get shit done an you gotta fuck everyone's mood. Fuck what you think! We goin nigga so get the fuck over it." Cindy said before getting up to follow after Jazmine.
Huey seemed unfazed by what she had to say.
"You's a bitch nigga Huey." Riley said while taking a bite of his fries.
"I understand how you feel man, but we really want to go back out there." I informed him.
He stopped reading and looked up at me.
"Caesar, we could be dealing with this Eddie Perez for all we know. Right now were in the clear but what if our identity slips out? What are we going to do then? Our family's would be in danger, and why? Because we wanted to play supper heroes. Look I'm not going tonight or any other night after this one. You guys are on your own."
"Nigga you being cold right now. How you gon let us go on our own?" Riley said.
"You know what? You are beginning to sound like a bitch nigga, Riley was right." I said as I got up to leave.
"Fine we are doing it without you." I said before leaving.
Cindy's POV:
I found Jazmine siting on a bench outside of the school.
"Girl here you are, I looked allover for you." I said as I panted from running all over the place. Lunch was going to be over any minute now.
"I hate him so much!" Jazmine shouted to no one in particular.
She looked up at me.
"I hate him because he's right. Ugh I hate you Huey!"
I laughed at her.
"What's so funny Cin?"
"Cuz, you know damn well you love that nigga."
She blushed.
"Do not."
"So why you blushin."
She began to blush even more.
"Told ya."
She sighed.
"I'm mad because he is right, what if we are dealing with this Eddie guy? We could be in some trouble. But we've been getting things done. I talked to Krista just now and she told me that the crime rate downtown dropped by ten percent."
"Wow that's good."
"I know, that's why we need to continue."
At this point Caesar made his way towards us.
"Hey Ceez. You look mad, whats the problem?" I asked.
"Huey is out. He said we can deal with it if we want but hes not going to help."
Jazmine began to look angrier than when I found her.
"That bastard."
Wow she just cussed. Bad sign.
"How is he going to leave us to it? He's a horrible friend. Huey you have crossed the line with this one."
"Well even though I'm mad and I think he's sounding like a little bitch, I can't blame him. He has a point."
We were all silent but then we spoke.
"What time tonight?" I asked.
"Eleven?" Caesar asked.
"Sounds good to me." Jazmine said.
Riley's POV:
Damn this nigga is truly a punk ass nigga. C-murph had called me and told me the plans for tonight and I was starting to get ready.
"So you really ain't comin then?"
"No Riley, what part of I'm out don't you understand?"
I shook my head.
"I don't care. How you gon let us all go out on our own? We suppose to be a team. How you gon let yo own flesh and blood go out there?"
"Riley I'm not forcing you to go. You could stay, It's your choice."
"See I'm a real nigga so I don't need yo help, but what about Jazzy? You gon let her go out with all those niggas out there?" It seemed like I had hit a nerve but he still seemed calm.
"She can handle herself."
"Never mind nigga."
I placed my vest on and left out the window.
Caesar's POV:
Cindy had made me the new captain and now I was in charge of everyones safety. Earlier today I received a text from Huey, I thought he had changed his mind but no. He just wished me luck and told me to keep an eye out for everyone. But I know who he wanted me to really watch. Speaking of the devil.
"Sorry for being late guys, my parents would not go to sleep." Jade said as she caught her breath from running.
"It's all good." I said.
"So now that everyone is here we can get started. Does everyone have their gear."
"Yep."
"Ye nigga."
"Yeas sir!"
"Ok good. Lets go kick crimes ass." And with that the four of us made our way Downtown.
AN: They made their way Downtown walking fast faces pass and their homebound. DANANANANANA.
