Flashback

Quinn was standing at the stove cooking breakfast for herself and Santana, "You know we have to tell our parents right?" she asked as Santana sipped on her tea. "I got us plane tickets for Lima so we could do it in person. First grandchildren from us and everything… they're going to be so excited. I was thinking we could take them out for a nice lunch together and tell everyone at the same time?" she suggested.

Santana was looking at Quinn with one eyebrow raised, "Seriously? You want to tell them that we're having a baby? They're going to freak Quinn… We can't I'm not ready," she said as she looked at her girlfriend nervously. Her mom had been somewhat understanding when she came out but she had never liked that she was dating Quinn. She never thought the blonde was good enough for her daughter. As for Quinn's parents they were definitely far from understanding when she came out. They had barely tolerated Quinn her entire life. This trip to Lima was bound to be a disaster.

Santana stepped off the plane in Columbus first. She frowned slightly when she looked around. She hated Ohio. She had hoped she would never have to return, but she didn't want to crush Quinn's plan. She knew the blonde hoped that this would bring their families together and maybe fix things with her parents.

Quinn climbed down the steps holding their carryon bags. Once she was on the ground she reached for Santana's hand, "Let's go get the rest of our bag then get out of here. I hate airports," she said before pressing a soft kiss to Santana's cheek. "How is the baby doing?" she asked nervously.

Santana shrugged, "Fine I guess. I'm not feeling all that great though. Can we take a nap when we get to the hotel?"

Quinn nodded and smiled as they walked to the baggage claim, "Of course San," she said as their bags came around. She carefully grabbed them and yawned, "I might join you for that nap," she said with a chuckle.

Santana smiled and nodded, "If you want to you are more than welcome." She began looking through her purse to find their conformation for the rental car, "Did I give the conformation to you?" she asked when she couldn't find it.

Quinn nodded and looked through her backpack quickly finding it and pulling it out of the bag, "Here it is," she said with a smile as they walked over to the car counter and picked up the keys and paid the deposit.

Santana took one of the bags from Quinn and wheeled it outside to the car waiting patiently for the blonde to unlock it.

Quinn opened the trunk and helped Santana put the bags in before running around and opening the door for her girlfriend.

Santana smiled and kissed her softly, "Thank you beautiful," she said as she got in.

Quinn got in the driver's side and started the car, setting the GPS and playing with the radio before pulling out of the parking spot to start the drive to Lima.

Santana woke up an hour and a half later when Quinn gently shook her shoulder, "We're at the hotel sweetie," she said as she turned off the car.

Santana nodded sleepily, "How long was I asleep for?" She turned on her phone and saw a few missed messages from her mom, but nothing too important.

Quinn shrugged, "I was like an hour and a half drive… you slept for maybe an hour or so."

Santana sighed, "You should have kept me awake… I'm sure you're just as tired as me."

"No it's fine… let's just check in and we can take a nap now," she suggested as they walked into the lobby of the hotel.

Santana nodded and held onto Quinn's had as she checked them into the hotel. Santana looked around the hotel and smiled softly when Quinn turned to lead her to their room.

Quinn unlocked the door and let Santana inside before carrying their bags in. Santana was already laying down on the bed when Quinn got the bags situation. She chuckled and laid down next to her girlfriend and kissed Santana's cheek, "Sleep well love. I'm going to shower then lay down with you for a while."

Santana nodded and pulled a blanket over her face before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

Quinn went to the bathroom and undressed before stepping in the shower. She sighed as she let the hot water run down her body. She stayed in the shower for almost an hour before the water grew cold. She quickly dried herself off and pulled on boxers and a t-shirt before sitting down on the bed next to Santana, "Love… it's time to wake up."

Santana grumbled and rubbed her eyes, "No… more sleep," she mumbled. Quinn chuckled and laid down with Santana who instantly cuddled against her. Quinn kissed the top of Santana's head before closing her eyes.

They awoke a few hours later when Quinn's phone began to ring. She pulled away from Santana and answered it, "Hello?" she said still half asleep.

Judy smiled when she heard her daughter's voice, "Hi sweetie… We were just wondering what time you and Santana were coming over for dinner tonight."

Quinn ran her fingers through her hair and bit her lip, "Uh… an hour or so. We took a nap when we got off the plane and are just waking up now. I'll text you when we're on our way okay?"

Judy hummed, "Okay… That sounds lovely. I hope pizza is okay for dinner. I know it's your favorite."

Quinn grinned, "That sounds great mom. Thanks. We'll see you in a bit. Love you." She smiled as her mom said goodbye and hung up the phone before laying back down and gently shaking Santana's shoulder, "Wake up love… We have to go to my parent's house for dinner."

Santana groaned and sat up, "You're lucky I love you because I don't want to get out of bed."

Quinn smiled and kissed her, "Let's get dressed okay? We need to look presentable."

Santana rolled her eyes, "I'm pregnant I can wear what I want."

Quinn shook her head and began getting dressed pulling on a pair of skinny jeans and a nice shirt.

Santana sat down on the bed as she put on her shoes glancing over at Quinn who was looking in the mirror. Santana smiled as she walked over and wrapped her arms around Quinn's waist, "Hi love… you look sexy" she said as she placed a kiss on Quinn's shoulder.

Quinn grinned and nodded before turning around and kissing Santana, "So you do baby."

Once they were ready Quinn grabbed the car keys and they walked downstairs and outside. She glanced over at Santana and smiled softly, "You look so beautiful and I can't wait till we tell our parents tomorrow"

Santana smiled softly and looked out the window as Quinn drove to her parents' house.

Quinn pulled into the driveway and bit her lip as she parked, "Ready for dinner darling?" Santana nodded and got out of the car. Quinn walked to the door and knocked holding Santana's hand tightly.

Judy answered the door and grinned when she saw the young couple, "Hi girls… the pizza just got here. I hope you're hungry."

Quinn hugged her mom tightly and nodded, "You know me mom… I'm always hungry," she said with a chuckle.

Santana playfully rolled her eyes and hugged Judy, "Hi Judy… it's nice to see you again."

Judy smiled, "I'm glad to have you girls back even if it's only for a few days, but I don't understand why you didn't just want to stay here."

Quinn ran her fingers through her hair, "We didn't want to impose mom. Can we eat please? I'm starved."

Judy nodded and they walked to the table sitting down silently.

Quinn raised an eyebrow, "Where's dad?" she asked noticing that he wasn't around.

Judy took a deep breath, "He no longer lives here… We're getting divorced."

Quinn frowned and took a few slices of pizza, "Why didn't you tell me then?"

Judy sighed, "I haven't really told anyone yet Quinn… I'm sorry."

Santana bit her lip and grabbed Quinn's hand, "It's okay sweetie… you know now."

Quinn groaned and took a bit of pizza.

The rest of the evening went well. Things were less tense and nothing more was said about Judy and Russell getting divorced.

Quinn glanced at the clock then at Santana who was dozing as the movie they were watching ended, "Well I think San and I are going to get going. Are we still on for lunch at Breadstixs tomorrow?"

Judy nodded and smiled, "Of course I look forward to seeing Santana's parents as well."

Quinn woke Santana up and they said goodbye before leaving.

The next day at lunch Quinn and Santana made sure to arrive early to give themselves time to calm down before their parents arrived.

Santana's parents got their first shortly followed by Quinn's mom.

Quinn and Santana took a deep breath as they looked at each other and smiled at their parents, "We have a special announcement," Quinn began. Santana smiled and nodded squeezing Quinn's hand to encourage her, "I… Santana is pregnant."

Judy smiled and clapped, "I'm so excited for you two."

Mr. and Mrs. Lopez just looked at each other and stayed silent which didn't go unnoticed by the girls.
