***Chapter 19***

After changing clothes and heading to the dojo to see who was in there Kagome couldn't stop the smile from playing across her face as she thought of Shougo and how everything was going with him. Without realizing it she had walked into the dojo looking around she gave a small pout when she didn't see anyone opening her senses she searched and noticed that almost everyone was behind the dojo. Walking across the room and opening the other door she watched as Kenichi was knocked across the ground and landed on his back and didn't seem able to get up.

Giving a sigh she walked toward the boy and bent down and checked his vitals and when she noticed they were fine and the swirls in his eyes she smiled before standing back up and turning and looking at everyone and noticed the one that had kicked Kenichi was Sakaki. Walking toward the older man and really wanting to see how good he was she smiled up at him.

"Sakaki, how about a spar?" she asked while still smiling up at him.

Sakaki was a little bit surprised when Kagome had walked up to him and asking to spar with her especially after she seen him kick Kenichi across the yard. Looking over to the side he noticed the look on everyone's faces and saw the looks of shock on their faces and knew none of them were thinking that she would ask to spar with him. Looking at Akisame to make sure the man didn't have a problem with it when he saw the man give him a grave look before nodding his head. Sakaki wouldn't lie after what he saw when she first arrived he was wanting to spar with her but didn't think she would come up and ask right out of the blue and on her second day her.

Kagome watched as everyone was shocked by her wanting to spar with Sakaki but even after what she did to those thugs earlier she really wanted someone to spar with. She really missed Sango and Miroku heck she even missed the demons after the jewel and fighting with them. Noticing the Sakaki was looking at her uncle she glanced over and saw him nod his head inside it pissed Kagome off a little bit that he had waited to see if her uncle approved first. When he turned and got into his stance Kagome couldn't help but think of how she was going to show him to never to look to her uncle again when it come to her.

Sakaki had to admit when he saw the look on Kagome's face after she saw him looking at Akisame basically for permission to fight her. Getting into his stance he waited to see what she would do when she didn't get into a stance but lowered her head to where he couldn't see her eyes he decided to test and see how well her guard was up.

Kagome didn't even blink when Sakaki lunged at her, she raised her arm and block fist not even raising her head. When he punched with his other hand she blocked that one as well flicking her wrists she grabbed his wrists and raised herself and kicked him in the face using the momentum she swung herself around on her arms and kicked him in the face again launching him back and landing on her feet.

Sakaki couldn't believe what had just happened he knew the girl could fight but he didn't think she could fight like that, raising himself up off the ground spitting out the blood he could feel in his mouth and raising his hand and wiping the blood from his nose before standing up. Looking over the saw her standing there looking at him looking at him with hardened eyes his eyes widened he had only seen eyes like that on people who lived and fought their way through hell itself. He couldn't help but think what had this girl been through that could give her eyes like that moving his head he spit out another mouth full of blood before grinning.

"Your good kid I'll give you that, but how good are you?" he asked as he got back into another stance and centered himself before opening his eyes seeing her not moving again he decided to try again.

Akisame was unable to keep his expression blank as he looked at his niece glancing over he noticed none of them could believe what they had just seen. He couldn't help but wonder when his sweet innocent niece had become such a fighter and who had taught her. Looking at her stance he couldn't help but think it looked like she couldn't defend herself and had too many openings. But after seeing what she had just did to Sakaki he couldn't help but look at her stance again and was marveled that it didn't have one opening in her stance even though it looked like a causal stance you would see one standing in any giving time.

Kenichi couldn't believe what he had just seen this girl who was shorter than Miu had just taken Sakaki down like it was nothing and wasn't even in a fighting stance she looked like she was just standing there. How could she have this much skill and be so young she wasn't much older than him and Miu, but he could tell she was beyond him and her both in skill levels.

Miu was shocked she had seen Kagome's fight with Shigure when she arrived but she didn't think that Kagome had this kind of skill and was in shock at watching Kagome fight.

Kagome didn't even blink again as Sakaki ran at her deciding to test his skill she moved back and dodge his attack and never once raised her arms to defend herself with every kick and punch Kagome had to admit he was a great fighter a true master of his art. But after fighter demons that moved at faster paces she could easily read him and his movement. Raising her leg she block his kick with hers before reaching up and grabbing his ankle and lowering her leg quickly and kick his other leg out from under him and punching him in the stomach with her fist. She knew from the muscles that his body was very well trained and knew with the force of her punch would knock the air out of him. Pulling on the leg she still held she raised her leg back up and kicked him in the side of his head letting go of his leg still standing in the kicking stance she watched as he flew back so many feet.

Sakaki while fighting with Kagome couldn't help but wonder as she dodged everything he threw at her how she seemed to know everything he was going to do before he even did it. And wondered why she wasn't even blocking him just moving out of the way. His thoughts were brought to a end when she blocked his kick with her own and grabbed his ankle next he felt pain in his other leg and was gasping for air from pain in his stomach next thing he knew he was looking up at the sky and feeling pain shooting threw his skull.

Glancing over he saw he still standing in a perfect kicking stance and understood what had just happened to him. Giving a groan he moved to stand back up when a small fragile looking hand was placed in front of his face. Looking up he saw Kagome looking down at him and smiling a beautiful smile at him. Giving a chuckle knowing that he couldn't be mad her when she was so cute raising his hand he took the hand up the she offered after everything he wasn't surprised at the strength she had in helping him back up.

Once he was standing Kagome took a step back but was watching him to make sure he could stand up on his own. After making sure he was fine she patted him on the shoulder before turning and walking back toward the house but was stopping by him speaking to her.

"Kid I can understand if you're not ready but I have to ask where did you learn to fight like that from?" he asked her.

Looking over her shoulder Kagome gave him a sad smile before answering, "From the past." She answered so only he could hear her and she knew that he would think when she was younger not from the actually past. Turning back and facing everyone she was shocked at seeing them looking at her like they were.

"What?!" she asked really confused and a little bit embarrassed that she was getting looked at like that, she didn't have to wait long when her uncle seemed to be broken from his shock and spoke to her.

"Kagome where did you learn to fight like that and beat someone on a master level at such a young age?" he asked still in shock at seeing what he and everyone had seen someone so young with skill that it took masters years to get.

Deciding to give him the same answer she did Sakaki she smiled another sad smile before answering as memories come up to the front of her mind.

"In the past uncle in the past." She said before walking toward the side of the house to go toward her room to take a shower and clean up so she could help Miu cook.

Once she was out of sight everyone was thinking the same thing how someone so young could be so skilled and what could have happened to her to make her like that to begin with. Everyone was brought out of their thoughts when Sakaki decided to speak.

"That's on hell of a niece you have there Akisame." He said as he walked toward the others while wiping his nose again.

Akisame couldn't help but agree with Sakaki but couldn't help but think there was more to what happened to Kagome than his sister and Kagome herself had let him in on and he was starting to wonder if she was like this what had she really gone through to get like this.
