Chapter 8
Bella's POV
I left Sue's diner, leaving a shocked and stunned Leah be hide and headed to the beach to see what the fuss was all about. I needed to be somewhere to think and Leah said that second beach was the quietest out of them all.
I had watched Leah for about two hours before I went in for a coffee, just to get a read on her which wasn't hard, she is a loud thinker. When the pack went into the diner Leah started having flashbacks about Sam, Seth, Collin and Brady.
When I saw Seth, Collin and Brady looking after Leah and keeping her busy, it made my heart warm to them, but when I saw Sam breaking up with her, I just wanted to kill him because Leah wasn't the only one I was reading.
I was reading Sam too and when he looked at Leah I read the things that he never told her, like how he had slept with Emily for over two months before he imprinted on her and felt guilty about it, how he wanted to be friends with Leah and make everything better because he couldn't stand to see her in pain knowing that he caused it.
Then he started thinking about the way he proposed to Emily and the look on her face when she was saying yes. I found it disturbing that he used the same ring that he gave the Leah, but then again if it were me I would have made sure that the fucker could never touch another women again, never mind marry her.
As I was walking in what I hoped was the right direction, I felt someone watching me. I could feel their eyes on my back so I reached out to them to their mind to find out who they were.
'Should I go over there? Is that even her? I don't know. I hope that is her, she has the same scent but with her being an Angel, I don't know, I don't know what she can do. Come on Jared! Just go over to her a thank her, my god I'm gonna sound like an idiot . . . ' Jared thought. So the pack knows I'm an Angel but they don't know what Angels can do, well this should be fun.
I walk for a little while longer waiting for Jared to build himself up when I came to the beach, which beach I'm not sure but I'm hoping its second beach. I go to sit on a log that someone must have put there and took my jacket off, it's a nice sunny day so why not.
"Did you know that following a woman you don't know is a bit creepy!" I shout whilst keeping my eyes fixed on the sea, knowing that I could have whispered and he would have still heard me. I hear foot steps coming my way slowly before I saw Jared sitting next to me.
"How long did you know I was there?" He asks, looking out into the sea.
"Since I left the diner" Okay maybe it was a few minute after I left, but still.
"Oh, Sorry" He says embarrass, making me smile.
"So, What did you want, Jared?" I asked knowing the answer. It was quite for a while before he said,
"I wanted to thank you for saving Kim's life, and in turn my own. I owe you for what you did yesterday and I don't think I will ever be able to repay you for just how much you did, so thanking you is a start"
"You don't owe me anything, Jared" I say, turning to look at him. He was looking at the sand whilst shaking his head about to protest, "No listen to me, Jared, you owe me nothing," I tried but he wasn't having any of it, so I tried a different way, "You know what I am, do you not?" I asked, shocking him that I would ask.
"Yes I think, you're an Angel, Right?" He ask nerves, looking at me.
"That's right, I'm a protector just like you and I know all about Shapeshifter, but what I want to know is, what do you know about Angels, Jared?" I ask
"Not much I just know what one of our elders read from an old book, and I got that from the pack mind so it wasn't that clear," He sounded confused.
"I want you to think about what you saw from your brother about what he said about Angels, okay?" I ordered/asked. He was still confused but did what I asked. I closed my eyes and watched.
Jared's Mind
There was an old man sitting at a table with an old book in front of him, then he started reading it,
"Angels have walked and lived this earth since before the dawning of time. They serve the light and protect everything from darkness. They serve to build and protect the earth at all costs, they helped it form and grow. Angels are known as the Protectors of All. They are the first creatures known to have been created and the strongest of all. They can change themselves into another creature or element to blend in and stay hidden. Angels are peaceful creature but very powerful. Not all Angels have the same power. It is known that some can bring back the dead but not many, but all Angels leave a mark on their charges to show that they are protected, it's called the Touch of the Angel. Over 1000 years ago Vampires and Lycans started a war against one other, it lasted for over 300 years killing many Angels in their path. Until four Angels stood against them and won, but at a cost. They went against one rule that had never have been broken before by an Angel, 'Thou shall not kill'. Angels can hurt another but can not kill. Almost all Angels went back home into the light after the war, but the four were not allowed and were left on earth as punishment for killing. Not much is known about what happened to the four, but there are rumors that two of the Angels have been given names, the Angel of Destruction and the Angel of War and Pain, who have killed millions of Vampires and Lycans and anything that stood in their way." The old man finished.
End of Jared's Mind
I started laughing my ass off at what I just listened too.
"Why are you laughing?" Jared asked. I calmed down after a minute or two before answering.
"Sorry, I was just laughing at the 'Thou shall not kill' rule, let me tell you something, that rule is bullshit," I say still laughing a little, "I'll tell y'all everything that was wrong and right about what they told ya, sweetie, 1. Yes, Angels have walked the earth since before time, but not lived since it, we're not immortal, 2. Angels serve the light, not the earth, 3. We protect Humans, Shapeshifters or any other creature apart from Vampires and Lycans, 4. Yes, we helped the earth form and grow, 5. Yes, Angels are also known as the Protector of All, 6. We are known as the strongest and most powerful, we have a lot of powers but not everyone is the same, 7. Yes, we can be peaceful if we wanna be but if y'all piss us off, we'll be your worst nightmare, 8. Not every Angels can leave the Angel Mark on someone, 9. Yes, a war started between Vampires and Lycans, but all the male Angels fought to keep our kind from dying out, 10. Four Angels stopped the war by killing almost all Vampire and Lycans but they were not punished for it, 11. And yes the rumors are true about two angels." I listed.
It was silent for a while whilst it all that all sank in.
"How old are you?" Jared asked, before thinking and then blushed when he had "I'm sorry that was rude, I shouldn't have asked that"
"It's okay, I'm not offended at all Jared, and to answer your question I'm over 800 years ago" I say, my age was never important to me so I don't know why he was sorry.
"Wow," Jared said before asking "Does that mean you were born in the Vampire/Lycan war because the war ended 700 years ago, right?"
"Yeah, I was about 124 years old when the war ended, well for everyone else it was, I kept fighting" I state, rubbing my chest feeling the all too familiar pain there.
"You fought in that war?" He said in awe.
"Yeah, I was one of the four" I say my voice empty, I look away from him.
"You must have been a bad ass Angel back then," He said making me laugh, "Didn't you say that only male Angels fought?" He asked
"Yeah I was the only female Angel to fight and with good reason" I say looking at the floor
"If you don't mind me asking, and you don't have to answer me but what was that reason?" He asked carefully but curious, I could feel his eyes on me. I took a deep breath, and told him but not without reliving it myself.
"I had just woken up, when I heard the screams . . . "
Flashback - 676 years ago (Lemon scene)
"Jasper! . . . Stop it! . . ." I yelled giggling uncontrollable, fighting for my breath, as Jasper tickled me. He leaned in close until his lips were just about to touch mine

The war had entered our village.
Jasper got up first, then me. I made our clothes appear on our bodies without thinking, before running outside.
I saw Vampires and Lycans killing everything in their path, homes being set on fire, humans being bitten for feeding or being turned, but with feeding comes fucking for Vampires and they don't care where they are.
I saw my friends getting raped, torched and feed on. I saw Lycans tearing people apart. So many body's parts on the ground of people I had come to care for, children I had looked after, women that loved to gossip about everyone and would help you if you needed it, men that used to go hunting with my brothers to bring food for everyone that needed it. They were all dead.
Our home had become a feeding ground to regroup.
I ran, killing Vampires and Lycans as I went just to get home. I could feel Jasper be hide me all the way, ready to protect me at all costs. Male Angels become very protective over their partners if they are carrying their young.
I knew that our breeding was successful last night and that I would be showing in a few hours. I always loved that about Angels, humans stayed pregnant for 9 months but showed after 3 or 4 months, whilst Angels stayed pregnant for a month and showed about 8 hours later the same day.
When I finally got to my families cottage, I could hear screaming and shouting coming from inside, which sounded like my father and mother. Seconds after I got there I heard the shouting stop dead and a horrid loud scream from my mother, I tried running in but I was blocked by a three Lycans.
I snapped the first ones neck quickly, Jasper jumped on the second one that leaped for me, but the third was a sneaky son of a bitch and avoided both of are attacks.
I wasn't the best of fighter back then because women didn't fight, we had no need to, so I missed the Lycan heading my way and Jasper was still fight the second one, I just managed to miss its teeth but I didn't miss it's shoulder.
It rammed me right into a tree, were I hit my stomach.
I had never felt that amount of pain before that day, but it felt like it was killing me. Yeah I had hurt my arm or leg whilst play fighting with my brother that got a little to rough, but it wasn't the same.
I saw the third coming for me again and all I felt was rage building up in side of me at the amount of pain it had caused me. The next thing I know it's on the floor yelping in pain, I could see it glowing red from the inside before it burst into flames, as did all the Vampires and Lycans in the village.
Then everything was quite.
I curled up into a ball holding my stomach whilst Jasper came over to me and held me tight to him. I felt my tears running down my face but I didn't know he was crying until I felt his tears on my cheek, joining my own.
He must have known just like I did, he must have felt to lose just like I did.
I had lost our baby.
"It's okay, we'll try again, we'll go some were far away from here, just the two of us." Jasper says before making me lie straight, it hurt like a hell but I managed to stay still.
Jasper put his hands on my stomach to heal me, his hands glowed a bright yellow, I could feel it's warmth though out my body.
I felt Jasper sending me emotions that felt like soft kisses all over my skin making me feel loved and safe, making me forget about all the death and pain I had just seen.
My peace and happiness was shattered by a distant scream of help. Jasper got up and helped me up as well and I noticed that I wasn't in pain anymore, then we ran in the direction of the female scream.
As I got closer I realized that it was my mother who was screaming. She must have run with Lily, after I set every Lycan and Vampire up into flames, trying to get to safety.
She must have run into some Vampires or Lycans that were out of my range of fire, because I could hear her fighting off something.
I ran faster than I ever had before until I reached the clearing that held my mother, sister and four Vampires.
I froze at what I saw.
My mother was trying to fight off three female vampire that were feeding from her, trying to get to my baby sister, who had already been drained and was in the arms of her killer, a male vampire.
My mother shot out all the light she had left at the three vampires that were draining her, she blasted them away from her and jumped toward the male vampire, who had just tossed Lily on to the floor, and in one swift move ripped my mother's head off. Then he ran off with the other three.
It all happened so fast, it all felt like hours but was only 5 or 6 seconds, then it was over and I couldn't do anything to stop it.
End of Flashback
"Bella! Are you okay?" I heard Jared ask, whilst putting his arm around my shoulder. I didn't realises that I had tears running down my face.
I remember holding my mother and sister to me for ages after that, just rocking back and forward, I didn't care that my mother didn't have a head and was bleeding all over me or that a Vampire or a Lycan could find me and attack me, I just didn't care.
Jasper gave me my time with them and stayed silent.
I remember burying them together in the clearing, I remember my brothers finding us there and I also remember running toward the main battle field, but I don't remember anything after I saw the first vampire crossing my path.
All I remember of the next six days was red, growling, screaming, hissing, burning flesh, venom, blood and other things. The first thing I remember after the six days, was my brother Luca asking if I was OK and had I seen Peter, because he and Jasper were missing.
It all came back with such a force that, I did the one thing that I hadn't done in a long time. I cried in front of someone. Showing my weakness.
Jared pulled me into his arms and held me. He kept whispering things in my ear, like 'It's okay, you're gonna be okay' and 'I'm sorry, please don't cry'.
"Why are you sorry?" I asked after a while, pulling away from him to wipe my eyes dry, "I should be the one saying sorry for crying in front of you, I don't normally do that and I'm sorry" I say before standing up.
"Wait! Don't go!" Jared yells, standing up him self and grabbing my arm genially, "You don't have to be sorry about crying, it was my fault anyway I shouldn't have ask you about that and I'm sorry for what you went through and in the middle of a war . . . Fuck! I can't even start to begin to picture what you went through, I'm sorry I bought it all up" Jared rushed out softly, before letting go of my arm.
We stayed silent for a long time and for once in a long time, I didn't know what to say so again I read him,
'My God Jared! You complete and utter fuck up! Why did you ask that? Damn my curiosity, it really did kill the fucking cat! I hope she doesn't hate me . . . Fuck! When Paul finds out, he's gonna fucking kill me for making his imprint cry! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!'
"My, my, don't you have a potty mouth" I say laughing a little.
"What?" Jared asked confused.
"Your thoughts, you sure do like the word 'fuck', don't ya?" I say giggling, this time at the look of alarm and fear, "Don't worry Jared, I don't hate you and if Paul gives you any trouble, you let me know"
"Thanks" He said looking relived and relaxed.
We both sat back down on the log, just staring at the water.
"I never did ask, How is Kim doing?" I asked, look back towards him.
"She's doing fine and healing fast, I think that had something to do with you. She got high on the pain medication that they gave her, I think she scared the Pack with all the talking she did, my Kim is a very shy person who doesn't talk much, she kept talking about chocolate rainbow waterfalls, Do you know anything about that?" Jared asked with a smile on his face whilst talking about his imprint.
I couldn't help laughing at that, you see when I gave Kim the Angel mark, I had to think of the most happiest memory I had in order to do it, well sometimes some of my memories are so strong that they are given to the person I am saving. Kim is remembering one of my memories and that memory is of one of my brothers crazy ideas.
Peter loved thinking of new and weird things to think about in order for me to make his thoughts real, some I refuse to do because they were sexual and he wanted to part take in them, such as 5 years ago, Peter wanted me to create a clone of Beyoncé just so he could spice up his sex life with his mate, he thought that by saying 'But I'm ready for that Jelly' and 'I always wanted a sex slave' to me, that I would do it for him but I just punch him in the mouth and called him a pig.
The idea in which Kim is thinking of, was when Peter was going through his bright colour moment, he wanted everything in bright and vivid colours, he kept asking me to change the colour of his foods, drinks, clothes, water in his baths or showers, rooms and his hair at one point, and he looked ridicules with rainbow hair, but then he watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and saw the chocolate waterfall, he dragged me then teleported me to a waterfall and asked me to change it into a chocolate rainbow waterfall, and even though it was a stupid idea it was really fun and tasty when we both jumped into it.
"I have no idea as to what you are on about, Jared" I say with a look of incidence on my face.
Jared just laughs and says "Yeah, Yeah". When an idea popped into my head.
"You wanna see something cool?" I asked Jared.
"Yeah, sure" Jared said confused but existed.
I focus on the water and pulled on it until two balls of water started lifting out of it. I heard Jared gasp but stayed silent, probably thinking that I needed to concentrate, which I did but it was all second nature to me now that I barely had to anymore. I pulled the balls forward until they were right in front of us.
"This is amazing" Jared said quietly.
"This isn't the cool part" I stated. Jared touched it but quickly removed his hand when the ball rippled, "Put your hand in to it, Jared. It won't bite, trust me" I say amused.
Jared hesitates for a second before slowly putting his hand all the into the water. He doesn't notice that his hand has come out of the other ball closest to me. I didn't tell him it was a portal to the other ball.
I quickly grabbed his hand and watched him freak out. It was funny.
"FUCK IN HELL! SOMETHINGS GOT MY HAND! SOMETHINGS GOT MY FUCKING HAND! HELP!" Jared screamed as loud of he could. He started trying to yank his arm back, but I was stronger than him.
"Jared! Look at me!" I ordered.
He looked at me with fear in his eyes but turned confused and angry when he saw me laughing, I tugged on his arm slightly to bring his attention on to my hand, so he could see his arm through the portal. It was very amusing when his head jumped from one portal to the other, it looked like he was shaking his head really fast.
After a minute of this he stopped dead on my hand on his arm, which was still through the portal. I unwrapped my fingers from around his wrist to let go of him and watched as he wiggled his fingers over and over.
"This is really weird, but still cool, What is it?" Jared said before pulling his arm out.
"It's a portal, see" I say as I put my arm in and watched as it appeared in front of Jared's face, it just felt like you were putting your arm in water but it wasn't getting wet. I ran my finger down his cheek and then bopping his nose with my finger, before pulling my arm back out, "A portal can only be created out of a elements. Water, fire, earth, air, metal and light. Though metal is a fucking bitch to do" I explain.
I made the water swirl and swish around Jared and myself, then making two shapes of animals with both balls like, bears, dolphins, wolves, horses and birds. It was fun and I knew that Jared liked it too, but another idea came to me and I had to put it into action.
I threw the water shaped dolphin back into the sea, making it look like it was diving back in, whilst I made the wolf run straight towards him and at the last second making it jump and divide at him. Completely drenching him in water.
I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the little girlie scream he did, whilst falling backwards on to the sand. When Jared got back up he tried to get most of the sand off but he had sand all over his hands, so he just made a mess of himself.
"Oh I am so going to get you back for that little stunt you just pulled" He said not sounding mad just annoyed, when he noticed I was laughing at him.
He then got of look on his face that made me sober up quickly, it was determination, mischief, glee and evil . . . If that last one is even a look. Before I knew it Jared was rushing towards me trying to grab me but I was faster and divided out the way just in time. I then started running down the beach laughing and shouting at Jared, who was still chasing me whilst laughing himself.
"JARED'S A SLOW POKE, A SLOW POKE, A SLOW POKE, JARED'S A SLOW POKE AND EVERYBODY KNOWS!" I sang over my shoulder at the top of my lungs. I slowed down to a more human speed because I saw some humans setting something up and from the looks of it, all of it was a pile of wood for a bonfire, just like Leah told me about. Watching them setting up I hadn't notice that it was getting dark and I realized that I had talked to Jared for hours.
Whilst I slowed down I still managed to out run Jared and I ran straight towards the people setting up, I noticed that some of the pack were here and from what I got from Jared's head earlier so were all the rest were the elders.
I saw Kim with her casts on and a beautiful women with scaring down her face and Sam Uley were sitting next to her, I recognize the women to be Emily Young, Leah's cousin, aka The Enemy. I also saw my Paul sitting down eating some food next to Sam whilst Jacob Black was lighting up the fire, it was a lovely shade of blue and green. I could feel Jared gaining speed.
"KIM!" I screamed, startling everyone.
"Bella?" A startled Kim said. Everyone was looking at me now.
"Kim, You have to help me!" I said in a fake panicked voice and fake breathing hard from running.
"Bella, What's wrong?" Kim said trying to get up but failing because of her casts.
"I may have pissed Jared off a bit" I said.
"Jared! What happened? Is he okay?" Kim said worried.
"Oh yeah he's fine, he's just drenched" I said like it was nothing.
"Drenched? How did that happen?" Kim's said confused.
"I may have thrown quite a bit of water at him and then laughed at him when he fell back into the sand, screaming like a little girl" I said laughing at the end.
"BELLA!" Jared yelled.
"Shit! He found me" I say panicking. I tried to run toward the beach but Jared blocks my way, still wet and panting hard from running.
"Now, now, Where do you think your going?" Jared said in a cheeky way.
"Over there" I said pointing towards Paul, who was looking confused by our display of chase. Jared looked over to where I was pointing and then looked back to me with a fake disapproving look on his face, though I knew he wanted to laugh so hard right now.
"Now why would you want to do that for?" Jared points towards Paul "Paul's not going to protect you from me" Jared said making his way towards me slowly. I heard Paul growl.
"Yeah he will, Paul will beat y'all ass's up and there ain't nothing y'all can do about it" I said proudly. Jared starting laughing.
"Really? Is that what's going to happen?" Jared asked.
"No, but this is" I said with a cheeky smile on my face before jumping into the newly lit fire, creating a portal into the air, floating above everyone and I made myself invisible so no one could see me, I watched everyone freak out.
"NOOOOO!" Paul and Jared yelled, everyone else were gasping in surprise, shock and horror. Paul had run up to the fire and was confused to see no one was there, then started to get pissed when Jared started laughing.
"COME OUT, COME OUT, WHEREVER YOU ARE BELLA!" Jared yelled, being the only one to know what had happen because of my earlier demonstration.
"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Both Paul and Sam yelled at Jared, who was smiling like an idiot. I starting giggling like an idiot myself and let the wind carry it around everyone, just to creep the fuck out of them.
Everyone jumped and started looking around to see where the sound came from, apart from Kim and Jared, who were laughing. Emily looked like she was about to shit herself, so I floated down until I was right be hide her and whispered, a part from my favorite poem, in an eerie faery voice "Come away, O human child".
Emily jumped up screaming and ran straight to Sam,
"Emily, Are you okay? What happened?" Sam asked concerned for his mate whilst looking her over to see if she was hurt.
"There was a voice be hide me" Emily said in a high-pitched voice that annoyed the fuck out of me, whilst she holding on tightly to Sam for comfort. Sam just held her, until she calmed down.
I floated until I was be hide Jared, who was trying to sniff me out from where Emily was just sitting, and I pushed him with my shield until he was flat on his back and couldn't move, I also made sure no one could help him out either. I sat on his belly and I made myself known again.
"Well hey there!" I say to Jared, who was struggling against my shield.
"What have you done to me Bella?" Jared asked still smiling but worried for himself.
"I don't know what ya talking about JC" I said giggling at his new nickname.
"Let me up Bella?"
"Nope I don't think I will" I said smiling.
"Why not?" Jared asked.
"Because you are too dry!" I said giggling again, I jumped up and thought about water, and the next thing I know four big balls of water raise from the sea and start floating above Jarred, who was now staring wide-eyed and the water and looked like he was fearing for his life. Kim was giggling her ass off.
"Bella! Don't even think about it" Jared said, I dropped one of the water ball on to him. He gasped in surprise.
"Oh, you mean that? Sorry, but you have to promise not to take revenge on me for doing this" I said cheeky.
"Never!" Jared yelled. I dropped another one on to him.
"You do know that I could do this all night and day, and I can just summon some more water balls from the sea, and you will be stuck there until I let ya up. That also me no food" I said knowing it was a low blow.
Jared hesitated before answering me, "Okay, I promise not to take revenge on you for throwing and dropping water on me, I promise not to chase you or get everyone else to do it for me, okay?"
"Okay" I said after dropping the last two remaining ball on to him. I pulled my shield off of him and he went to sit next to Kim on her left.
I skipped off laughing toward Kim, who was still shocked and staring at me and Jared, just like everyone else was, I sat down next to Kim, on her right, and looked at everyone. It was so quite you could hear a pin drop.
"So, What do y'all do for fun around here" I asked everyone.
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT, I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO DO ANYTHING ON MY STORIES, SO I MADE THIS CHAPTER LONGER THAN MY OTHER . . . I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT
