Tip: During Killian's little speech, imagine him saying that almost breathless - like him pausing or just breathing heavily while saying those words.

CHAPTER 7

"Emma" Snow spoke, breaking the eerie silence that dawned upon the room once Emma said the cruel words, "This is Killian. Please, please remember who you truly are. A hero, a savior. Just come back to us and help us find Maleficent so we can make her undo this and save him"

Emma rolled her eyes and sat at the couch opposite Killian's bed. "How can you bunch be so infuriatingly optimistic? There is no way to save him"

"There is" Regina said, "True Love's Kiss. It's powerful enough to break any curse"

"Didn't that fail?" Ruby asked, wiping her tears away.

"It failed because Emma can't feel any emotions right now. If we bring her back and she remembers her love for him, True Love's Kiss will work"

"Emma" David walked to his daughter, "You have to break out of this Emma. Your love is dying Emma – save him!"

Emma flicked her fingers which sent her father flying back to the wall. "I'm just here to enjoy the death of the pirate. All this saving and hoping is you heroes peoples job. I'm not interested"

"Emma this is the man who traded his ship – his home, for you" Belle pleaded, desperation evident in her voice.

"He brought you back home Emma. He brought you back to us from New York and then from the Enchanted Forest" Snow said, her voice faltering.

Emma just rolled her eyes, and skimmed through her blond curls. Henry started to speak but was interrupted as Killian spoke very softly, "Emma"

Everyone in the room turned away from Emma to see him, while Emma kept staring at the trail of her dress.

"Emma" Kllian spoke, his voice barely audible, "I just wanted you to – I just wanted you to know before I die that… I love you. You have amazed, inspired, and bested me since the moment I met you and during our little adventure on the beanstalk I had decided that I wanted to get to know you. I wanted to thank you for saving me Swan. You are the Savior but you are also my Savior – you saved me from a life of endless torment and self-loathing. I love you, God I love you so much that I have forgotten what hating myself feels like. After years of being a villainous pirate, you inspired me to be the honorable man that I once was. And as for my ship – I would trade it again and again if I had to. Nothing is worth more than you Emma, not even my life. We might not be True Love, but nevertheless I consider you my True Love. Thank you for letting me love you and for loving me back. If I had to live this life again, I definitely would as the 300 years of misery were worth the years I got to spend with you. I'm sorry that I have to leave you after I promised you that I was going to survive and never leave you. I love you Emma Swan. Always have, always will"

Killian stopped, as he started coughing loudly to which Snow helped him drink more water.

There was absolute silence in the room. There wasn't a dry eye in the room except of Emma's (who was still intently staring at the trail of her dress), as everyone else stared at the dying pirate. His love truly was unconditional. His love for her made him change his entire life around and he used his last dying breath to tell her that. If this wasn't True Love, then what is?

With a loud gasp, Killian's eyes shut and the monitor started beeping rapidly.

"Killian?" David choked as he looked up at Whale, shaking the pirate slightly.

"Is he…..gone?" Regina asked, tears flowing down her cheeks freely.

Whale took a deep breath and replied, "Yes"

Emma's eyes shot up to the lifeless body of the pirate.
