A Journey to Remember
Guys! I have no idea how my story is going so far. I need some comments or reviews! It's ok if you don't actually… just keep reading! Sorry for the short chapter.

The group walked down the narrow path for a while. The rainforest was humid and had lots of unique animals roaming around. Little monkeys swung in the trees above them, and birds of all colors and sizes singing in the canopy. A while later, they came to a little opening where there were three huts. Levi walked up to one of the huts and started conversing with one of the natives. They talked for a little bit and then they both stopped talking and turned to face the group. Levi pointed in their direction and then the native nodded. Luke furrowed his brow with concern.
"I wonder what that was about." He said suspiciously.
"I have no idea." Julia replied.
Levi whistled and motioned to follow him. The group caught up to Levi and walked through some sort of gate that was guarded by two natives holding long spears. As they walked through the gate they came to a big cave in the canyon wall. Above the hole was some ancient writing and symbols.
"I'm not going in there if there are huge bugs! Last night I found a huge bug in my bag. So look for bugs!" A man shouted out from the back of the pack.
Levi shook his head and laughed then entered the cave. Everyone else followed after him. As they took a turn further in the cave, voices echoed through. As they went even further, the voices got louder and louder. They came to a big opening that was covered with vines and walked through it. Natives were everywhere, torches were lit on every pathway, huge temples towered in the distance and the sky was a perfect shade of blue.
"Oh…..My…Gosh." Julia said in awe.
"You can say that again." Luke replied with his mouth open.
"Oh wow no more cave bugs!" The other man said as he exited the cave.
"Come on guys, let's keep moving." Levi said
They walked through the city and came to one of the smaller temples. Once they reached the top, a man dressed in emerald green robes came out to greet them. Levi whispered something into the man's ear as he gave him a welcoming hug. The man's smile got even bigger when he approached the rest of the group. He spoke English but with a pretty heavy accent. The man was about 5'6'' and was a little pudgy. He had long dark brown hair that was pulled back in a low ponytail.
"I am Angel. Welcome to the great city." He said with a big happy grin on his face.
He motioned to the city and all of them turned to look at the view from atop the temple. Angel walked over to Julia and put a hand on her back.
"It's amazing no?" He asked
She nodded in agreement and took in the scenery.
"You know, your father wanted to bring you back ever since his last visit."
"My father? You knew him? He was here?" She said in astonishment.
Everyone turned to them with surprised expressions. Angel laughed and motioned them all to follow him down the temple. The man who hated bugs just got to the top right as they were heading back down.
"Oh come on!" He said huffing.
Levi walked past him and gave him a slap on the back. "Oh come on Will!"
They all laughed and Will rolled his eyes sitting down where he stood. Angel led then to a nice stone hut that was decorated with painted symbols.
"You will be staying the night here. Enjoy yourselves. Oh and Julia, I will tell you more about your father later."
Angel left and the group went inside the hut. Inside were different colored hammocks and nice clothes laid out that look like something that the rick natives would wear. Will finally entered the building and rushed to a hammock, took off his shirt, and laid down.
"Thank goodness for this hammock."
Moments later everyone went over to a hammock and stated to get settled. Julia walked over to a light blue hammock and put her back pack down underneath it. Levi was in the one left to her and another man from the group to her right. Luke came over to Julia and gave her a blanket. Julia said thank you and then got comfortable in her hammock. The nice sway and breeze made her feel at ease. She wondered how her father found this place and how he never mentioned it once to her or to her mother. Just when she started to feel sad, Levi started to play a nice tune on his guitar. Julia listened for a while and then started to wonder how Luke knew the group.
"So Levi, how do you and Luke know each other?" She asked turning her head towards him.
Levi looked over to Luke with concerned eyes then received a nod from him.
"Well we are all from across the sea and we have been…..friends ever since we were about ten."
"What's it like there?"
"Well it was beautiful in its own way but I don't know what it looks like now." Luke replied
He hesitated a couple of seconds and then spoke again. "You will see when we get there."
Levi stopped playing and everyone turned their heads at Luke with concerned faces. He waved his hand in the air as if he was telling them to brush the matter aside. The men looked back at Levi and he shrugged. He began to start playing again and will got up to make a fire. About a half an hour passed and almost everyone had fallen asleep. Julia pulled out her pocket watch and yawned. It was about midnight and all that she could think about was how Angel knew her father and the way everyone looked at Luke when he said something about going back to his home town. She got a headache thinking too much and decided to get some rest to relieve it. She took a quick glance at the time and read one twenty three. As she laid there with her eyes shut, she couldn't fall asleep. The man to her right was snoring. She covered her head with the blanket to try to muffle the sound but it didn't work. She couldn't stand it anymore so she put her foot out and kicked the man's hammock. He stopped and there was silence. A few minutes later, she fell asleep.
Alright guys! How the heck does Angel know her father? I think that will be answered in the next chapter! Yay! Have you guys ever seen the animated movie El Dorado? Well the hidden city is supposed to look like that except WAY more epic. Thanks for reading! Oh and I fixed the font. It was kinda hard to read in the previous chapters. Sorry bout that! :-/
