"(So this is the great warrior. How could you possibly beat my best warrior?)" Takaan said as he stood.

"(We should use Kenji. Bring him back so that he can translate for her.)" A man said as he stood up with Takaan.

He nodded and made all of the men leave the tent. They lead Julia out of the tent and walked through the middle of their camp. The people dressed in shades of brown clothing and lived in various sizes of tents. As they twisted and turned through the camp, Julia heard some whining and her hand started glowing. They passed a post with Luna tied up to it trying to rip herself out of the rope.

"Luna!" Julia shouted as she tried to make her way over to her.

Luna tried jumping toward Julia but was pushed back by the rope that tied her back. A couple of tears fell down Julia's cheeks. As they continued down the pathway they entered a bigger tent. The man walked in with Julia and tied a rope around her ankle then to a post in the middle. There was no way for her to get out now. The man walked out and left her alone in the tent. All she could do was wait for someone else to come in. The tent was quite big, smelt of incense, lit by candles and lanterns, pillows and blankets were sprawled on the floor, and rooms were separated by hanging pieces of cloth from the ceiling. Julia leaned her back against the pole and sat down. She looked at her feet and inspected where the pain hurt most. On some parts of the bottom of her feet, were stickers and cuts. Some of them were open and bleeding.

"Ouch." She said as she slid her feet out. "This is going to be a long night."

After what seemed like hours to her, she started to doze off. The temperature seemed to drop every minute. She pulled her knees up to her chest to try to keep her body warm. She had no choice but to ignore the throbbing pain in her feet. Just when she thought she was about to fall asleep, a few women and little girls walked in. One of them walked behind Julia and cut the ropes from her hands and feet, then they started cleaning up her feet. A little girl put some type of paste and herbs on the cuts and then wrapped them with cloth. When they were done with tending to Julia, they went to the rooms and closed the gaps of cloth that acted like a door. A few seconds later, a little girl about seven or eight walked up to Julia and helped her get up to her feet. Then they walked to the tent where some pillows and blankets were laid out on the floor. The little girl let go of her and let down the cloth and then laid down on the pillows. She covered herself with the blanket and curled up. Julia walked over to the other side of the pillow bed and sat down. She piled up some pillows and put them behind her back so that she was sitting up. Then she pulled a soft red blanket over her shoulders. The sound of Luna's cries in the distance brought tears to Julia's eyes. She peered over to the little girl and noticed that she was looking right back at her. Tears rolled down her cheeks and the little girl crawled over to Julia and sat closer to her.

"(My name is Carmen.)" The little girl said with a small smile on her face.

"(Nice to meet you Carmen. How old are you?)" Julia replied in Spanish.

"(I am eight. What about you?)"

"(Twenty.)"

Julia smiled and wiped away the tears on her cheeks.

"(Do you know English?)" Julia asked

"Yes. My mother taught me…. Who are you?"

"I'm Julia. The princess of the great hidden city."

"Everyone has been talking about you. I like your eyes."

"Thank you…you don't look Litvak."

"I'm not. My parents were killed two years ago and this tribe took me in."

"I'm sorry."

"It is ok." She paused. "So is it true that you have the tattoos?"

Julia smiled and then unwrapped the cloth that was around her hand. Carmen's eyes got big and she smiled.

"Does it hurt?"

"No not at all."

Carmen reached over and touched the symbols.

"You know… Takaan has some like this. He covers them up though. Nobody knows why."

They both laid there wrapped up in blankets for a little and listened to the crickets chirp.

"Luna must be sleeping." Julia said as she looked at her hand. The symbols weren't glowing anymore.

"Who's that?"

"She's my pup. You will know her as the white beast."

"I can't wait to see her."

While the two were there, a maid in the same tent eavesdropped and noticed that they were speaking the same language. The rumor spread throughout the camp and finally reached Takaan. He caught the messenger in time and told him to cancel the message to the Queen. He decided that Carmen would translate instead.

"So how many languages do you speak?" Julia asked

"Three. Litvak and English are my best."

"So why did you speak Spanish to me first?"

"You do not look Litvak and you are not light skinned like the other kingdoms. You are a bit tan like the hidden city people."

"Oh. I see. I wonder why they want me so bad."

"Well you are the most important and powerful person right now."

Footsteps were coming close and Carmen rushed over to the lantern, blew it out, and laid down. Julia rolled to her side and acted like she was sleeping. A minute later the footsteps went away and Julia turned to face Carmen.

"I wonder what time it is." Carmen asked as she rolled to her back.

Julia took out her pocket watch and it read 2:07.

"It's two O'clock"

"This is the latest I have ever been up"

She chuckled and then said goodnight. Morning came quick and everyone in the camp seemed to get work done super early. Julia sat up and stretched then looked around confused.

"Oh…right." She said in a disappointed tone.

She read her watch and saw 8:38. Carmen walked in with a basket in her arms and sat down next to Julia.

"I've got fruit. Bread, and bandages. I also fed Luna for you."

"Thank you so much! I'm surprised she didn't freak out."

Julia started unwrapping the bandages on her feet.

"Ouch. They look pretty bad in day light." She said as she inspected her right foot.

When they were done wrapping her feet Julia decided to go without shoes on. By the time they were done eating, it was noon. They spent some time walking around the camp and talking about their memories. Julia felt more and more comfortable in the village with Carmen by her side. As they circled back around to their tent, a woman led them to the main tent. As they walked into the front room, Takaan and the other men were sitting. Carmen held Julia's hand and they walked in the middle of the room. The men stopped talking and turned their attention to Julia and Carmen. Carmen let go of her hand and did a unique little bow. Julia stood there and crossed her arms. Takaan made a small smile and motioned for them to take a seat.

"(Carmen I need you to translate for me.)" Takaan said in an intimidating voice.

She nodded and shifted to face both of them at the same time.

"What's going on?" Julia asked in a simple tone.

"He wants me to translate for you."

"In this case, tell him I want Luna back with me." She said in a harsher tone.

"(She wants the beast back.)"

"(She can get it back if she stays here.)" He said as he narrowed his eyes.

"You can get her back if you stay here."

"What? Why do you need me here?" She asked as she slightly shrugged her shoulders.

Carmen's small smile went away when she heard the sad tone in Julia's voice.

"(She wants to know why you need her here.)"

Takaan sighed and then dismissed everyone out of the tent. Once everyone was gone, he got up and sat down next to Carmen. As Takaan and Julia spoke, Carmen translated for them.

"Outsiders are close to invading out land. And once they do so, they will find your great city." Takaan said with a worried voice.

"Why do you need me? I barely even know myself at the moment."

"A lot of people don't know my secrets. Not even my closes friends. I sent Kenji into the city as a spy."

"To spy on what? Why exactly do I need to know your secret?"

"To look for you and your beast."

"She is not a beast. And Kenji is not a spy. He is my guard, my protector."

"He was sent over there to spy and take you away, but he must have avoided my orders for some reason. He has never returned."

Julia stood up and put her hands on her hips. Takaan stood up and whistled.

"I need you because you can help both of our worlds and Kingdoms."

After he said that two men came in and took Julia to a different room. She struggled to free herself but it failed and they threw her into the room. As she sat up, tears streamed down her face.

Back at the city, Danielle sent out dozens of search parties around the kingdom.

"We have sent out some search parties. Don't worry." Levi said as he walked into the front room.

"Thank you so much Levi. I don't understand how both of them disappeared." Danielle said as she sat down on the rocking chair.

"It couldn't have been the Litvak right? She was already going to be going over there anyways." Luke said as he stood on the balcony with Kenji.

Julia sat on the pile of pillows for a while sobbing. She pulled her legs up and hugged them.

Takaan peeked inside the room to see what she was up to.

Julia calmed down and laid sideways on the bed, with her back facing the entrance. The tent smelled nice and the room was lit by candles almost similar to the one with Carmen. She heard a rustle behind her and turned around. All of a sudden something landed on top of her.

"Luna!"

She sat up and gave Luna a big hug and rubbed her belly. Takaan watched through the small slit and cracked a smile. Julia felt so happy and she had forgotten that she was sad at all. Later, they both fell asleep. Julia woke up to the sound of Luna sniffing around the room. She sat up and fixed her hair then was welcomed with good morning kisses from Luna.

"Good morning." Carmen said walking into the room.

"Good morning Carmen!"

She replaced Julia's bandaged and left her a basket of food, then left the room. Once Julia and Luna were done eating, she decided to try and leave the room. No one was in the rest of the tent. Luna chased a lonely little spider on the floor and Julia sat on the blankets and pillows that were on the corner of the room. She pulled out the pictures that were folded up in her pocket and looked at them. After a while, Luna started growling and Julia looked up to see Takaan standing in the front doorway. He put his hands up as if he was telling Luna that he meant no harm.

"Come here Luna." Julia motioned Luna over.

She trotted over to Julia and sat next to her. She put her arms around Luna and Takaan slowly walked to the other room. They sat there for a while wanting for him to come back out but he didn't. Julia picked up her pictures and showed them to Luna.

"This is mom and dad. And this little one is me." Julia held the pictures up to show Luna and then set them down. A ball rolled across the floor and Luna chased after it. Julia peered down at her pictures. Luna trotted over and brought the ball to her. She picked it up and looked up. Takaan was standing on the other side of the room. Julia threw the ball to him and then walked over to sit next to her. Luna growled but Julia hushed her. As he sat down he fiddled with the ball in his hands and Julia watched Luna eye the ball in his hands. She looked back down at the ball and saw something familiar in it. As Julia looked at him, he pointed to his chest then to her hands. He rolled the ball over to her and smiled a little. After a while of silence Julia motioned to him to come closer. He slowly scooted over toward Julia as Luna growled at him. She held Luna with one arm and took Takaan's hand with the other. He stiffened his arm but then released. Julia led his hand across Luna's neck.

"Shhh. Shhh." Julia said quietly trying to calm Luna.

She led his hand along Luna's coat until she stopped growling then let go of his hand. They pet her for a while then Luna got up and cuddled next to Takaan. Julia chucked and folded up her pictures and put them in her pocket. She grabbed the ball and tossed it in the air. Luna's ears flew up. Takaan whispered and then a man and woman walked in.

"(Bring in Carmen and the Council.)"

They nodded and exited. A few minutes later Carmen entered the tent and bowed.

"Good to see you!"

"Good to see you too!"

Just then six men walked into the tent, bowed, and took a seat.

"(Did she agree to stay?)" an old man asked.

"(I'm giving it time.)" He replied.

"(Quit stalling, they are getting bigger every day.)" A skinny man said as he crossed his arms.

"(Carmen. Tell her this. Will you stay with us and fight?)"

"He wants to know if you will fight with us."

Julia sighed and looked down petting Luna.

"Will I be able to see my family again?"

"(Will she see her family?)"

"(No distractions Takaan.)" The skinny man said quickly

"(What if we let the queen know that she is doing just fine?)" The old man replied.

"(They might attack us for taking her though.)" Takaan replied. "(I will send a bird to let the queen know that her daughter is in good hands.)"

"He said that he will send word to your mother."

"But will I be able to talk to them at all?"

"No I'm sorry."

Julia dropped her shoulders and sighed. "I will join your fight only to see my family again."

"(She will fight only to see her family again.)"

He nodded and the council left the tent. Moments later families came in and started celebrating. Laughter and music filled the tent. Julia enjoyed the happy mood and then fell asleep. Takaan pet Luna and then took Julia to the other room. He blew out some candles and exited the room. Luna snuggled with Julia and fell asleep. The celebration continued on throughout the night and into the early morning. When Julia woke up, she noticed that the village was quiet. She peered at her pocket watch and read ten. She got up and walked out of the room. Takaan was wrapped up in a blanket sleeping in the large room. Julia decided to start exploring what she and Luna can do with the powers. She walked to an open field and tried to get Luna to do the frost thing she did days ago.

"I have no idea how this worked. It was an accident last time." She said as she paced the floor. "Hmm. All I did was throw my hands at the cat."

She stood up and faced Luna. Then searched for something for a target.

"Alright Luna, that bird right over there is the target. You're going to freeze it just like last time okay? Ready. . . . GO!"

Julia sprinted toward the bird with Luna and then lunged with her hand forward. The bird flew away but where it was sitting was frosted over. She looked at Luna to see if she did anything but she didn't leave any snow or ice on her nose like last time.

"Hmmm."

She stood there in confusion. Something cold dripped on her foot as she stood there.

"No way. . ." She said in disbelief.

She raised her hand up to her face. Her palm was a light blue color and her hand was all wet. She slid her hand across the wood and froze it leaving a trail of frost behind it.

"Alright Luna. On three we are both going to freeze that patch of tall grass over there. One . . . Two. . . Three!"

They both lunged forward, Julia with her hand and Luna with her head. About ten feet of grass was frozen in front of them instantly.

"HAHA! Good job Luna!"

She jumped and lid on the ice and laughed. A little boy saw what she was doing and ran up the hill to tell Takaan. A while later the little boy, Carmen, and Takaan were sitting on top of the hill watching Julia and Luna play around with their powers. As the day went by, Julia and Luna found out how to use their powers in different ways. Julia could create snow, freeze and unfreeze water, and shoot icicles or snow balls. Luna could freeze anything with just a bark and she could make huge ice claws on all four of her paws. Takaan became more and more interested with Julia over the days that he had been spying on her. Every now and again Julia would end up passing him every now and again giving him a small smile only to be given a raised eyebrow from him. It had been about a week when Julia finally found out that she had been sleeping in Takaan's room. Almost every night she wondered why they took her when she was going to be over there anyways. She didn't know much about the big army coming but all she knew was that she had to keep them from discovering the city.

Back at the hidden City, Danielle and the group were planning on visiting the Litvak the next day to finally see Julia.

Julia was laying down in the grass field with Luna, tossing snow in the air. A group of kids at the top of the hill saw the snow falling and ran to it. The kids flopped on the ground rolling in it. Julia rolled up a snowball and threw it a Luna. She laughed and before she knew it, five of the boys were throwing them at her. For the rest of the afternoon, they played in the snow while Takaan watched from the top of the hill. A while later Julia's mother and the gang made it to the village and were waiting in the large room in Takaan's tent. Julia, Luna, and the kids walked back to the village soaking wet with big smiles on their faces. As Julia entered the tent, Luna bolted toward Luke who was standing outside the tent. She knocked him over as she jumped on him.

"Hello Luna! You are getting big!" he said laughing on the ground.

"MOM!

Julia ran up to her mother and gave her a big hug.

What do you think Takaan is going to think when he sees them there?

Plus… their powers are only going to get better. Hope you liked this chapter bros. I am stuck on coming up with what to right next. I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK! I have no idea on what to write in the next chapter. Review if you can. That would help tremendously!
