Fate Chapter Six: Luna

-Negi-

It felt like this world was constantly under darkness, then again it was called the Underworld. Luna and the other girls were asleep, I couldn't sleep because I was always worried about the things that were lurking out there. The girls were fast asleep, they were all tired, they had a big dinner and they fell fast asleep. After all since we stepped foot in the underworld we did nothing but fight. It was fight after fight after fight. The underworld was filled with rouge demons, monsters, and creatures that will either rob us, kill us or take the girls and sell them into slavery. I wasn't about to let that happen to them. I am their guardian and I am going to protect them.

Even though I was thinking of them, I couldn't stop thinking about Asuna and the others as well because I was worried about what they were doing right now. I was doing this for them, for her. I thought about how I was back then when Asuna was taken by Fate. I went crazy, I always wondered why.

"you're thinking about Asuna aren't you?" I didn't notice but Luna was awake," well I wouldn't be surprised."

"yeah," I looked at her, her glimmering body shining from the moonlight from the window next to her.

"I just remembered," she comes closer to me, "I never actually apologized for that time."

"For what?" I looked t her with a bit of confusion.

"The time when I deceived you, when I disguised myself as Asuna."

"Oh that was a long time ago, we don't have to go back to that," she looked even more pretty now that I got a close look at her like this, "we're all friends now."

"Well, ok then," she looked down but slowly got closer to me, "uhm... Negi-sensei."

I interrupted her before she could continue, "you know you don't have to call me sensei..."

"oh hehehe... well I guess I just got used to it since I kept hearing Ayaka and the other girls say it so I got used to calling you that as well."

I looked up at the night sky again, "Luna, what do you think about going to school at Mahora?"

"eh..." I caught her by surprise with that question, "i never thought of that."

"would you?" I looked at her again, "I don't think that such a world befits such young beautiful girls like you, you should be at school instead of going out hunting for bounty."

"eh..." I noticed that she was shocked with what I said, I think I was also shocked at what I said, "geez negi-san, you're beginning to learn on how to flatter a girl, tehee."

"hehe, well I do think that you are beautiful Luna-san, you and the other girls."

I saw Luna glow bright red, she held her face with both her hands and began to space out. I think I might have said too much. The night was still peaceful and we were going to be up early tomorrow so I should probably head to bed and tell Luna to do so as well.

"Negi-san ever since you came to Mundus Magnus, my world, our world has completely changed."

"eh?..."

"Before we met you, all we did was work for Fate," she sat down across from me by the window, "everything we did, we thought was for the greater good. We never realized how much we were harming other and were about to harm more. We were all scarred by our past that we ignored the value of other lives. We were willing to take away any lives for what we thought would be the greater good, but you proved us wrong."

"Sometimes it takes just one moment, a fateful encounter for us to change our minds. Of course I understood that you girls had a past that drove you to hatred, to want to do what Fate would make you do. I understood how you would see Fate's plan as being for the greater good. But I never blamed all of you for it, because if did then I would be no better than you girls blaming your past. Then the cycle of Hatred would never be broken, I never blamed you because I didn't want you girls to become victims of the worlds hatred. That was why instead of considering you girls as my enemy I wanted to be your friend, even to Fate. What you needed was not closure by vengeance, what you needed was closure with a friend. That is the only way that we can help each other save this world, is by understanding each other. That is why I made friend with you Luna-san, because I believe that with the right circumstances you can become better."

I looked at Luna right after and saw her looking at me with teary eyes and with a blushed face.

"Negi-sama..." she burst out into tears, "that was so touching, i've never felt such warmth coming from someones words before, Thank you..."

"Uwahhh!..." I tried to comfort Luna, "I didn't mean to make you cry..."

"mhmm... I thought It was so touching, I can feel Negi-sama's care for me, for us."

"... hehe... I forgot that Fate was a doll, so he is incapable of showing emotions."

"I never really felt the warmt of a person before you Negi-sama, you showed us that there was more love in both worlds than what we were shown."

"Well, we need to be up early tomorrow so we should probably head for bed," I asked Luna as I got up and closed the window.

"hmmmm..." I could sense her fidgeting in the darkness.

"eeh... is something wrong Luna?"

"well... its just that... I was wondering if I could sleep with you..." she said it very shyly and she blushed.

"ehh..." I was caught off guard by her request, "EEEEEEEEH!? Luna what are you trying to get to..." Because of all the conversations i've had with ayaka and the many other girls of my class I began to think of sleeping as a man and woman being together.

"huh?" Luna got confused.

"I... I... I'm sorry but even though I'm in this body I am still a kid..." I put up my arm as if to guard me from her, "and what would Asuna-san say about us doing such a thing, she'll probably kill me."

"eh..." she was looking at me with a weird look and a blushed smile, "n... n... no... no no no... wrong wrong... I didn't mean that way Negi-san."

"eh..."

"Negi-san you pervert... *giggle*," she looked kinda cute when she did that, "I meant just sleep in the same bed as you."

"Oh... hahahaha..." That was completely embarassing, "right, well I guess we can hahahaha..."

with that awkward situation over we both headed to my room, we got into bed and I turned away from her so as to not notice her too much. But then Luna grabbed me and hugged me, she was lonely, that much I could understand.

"I'll protect you too Luna... you don't have to be alone anymore."

I couldn't see it but I felt like she just gave me a smile.

-Asuna-

I was standing by the strategy table on the bridge and surrounded by the other members of Ala Alba. Suddenly a cold chill went up my spine, "*sneeze*"

"eh... getting a cold Asuna..." Konoka asked concerned for my health

"No, but a strong chill just went up my spine."

"ehh... why?" Setsuna asked.

"Baka-Negi is probably doing something right now that would make me want to hit him," I claimed as I made a fist but it was kind of weird I would know that.

-Negi-

The morning was refreshing but we knew the moment we walked out of the city gates that demons would swarm us without hesitation. The girls were still asleep and it was still somewhat quiet, the only noise we could hear was that of merchants and people in the streets going about their business.

Inside the city everything looked fine, but we knew better. The city was in ruins, for one food was scarce in the city. People try and can barely get by with the amount of food in the city. Two, crime was very high and many of the people in the city itself might as well be criminals and the city guard was always kept busy with keeping the demons out that they rarely are able to deal with the crime.

We made our way through town to get out and continue on our way. We needed to make our way to Mt. Horadrim, it was where the base of the cult was. At least that's what we know, it may not even be one hundred percent correct. But what we did know was that we needed to move and move fast if we were going to rescue Shirabe, we made our way to the gates of Tosanga. The guards opened the gates for us and allowed us to exit, the underworld. It wasn't really how I pictured it, but it was still a world underground. It was like a planet inside a planet, the surface outlined the outer shell of the planet, looking up you could see the other side of the world. The center was a dying sun, it's light slowly fading. So now, no matter what time it was it was always usually dark here. Even during day time when the sun is supposed to be bright, the darkness is still evident. The shadows that fill the sun are shading throughout this inner world.

We finally made our way out of the city and began to walk towards Mt. Horadrim, it was quite a walk but we tried to manage.

"Negi-sensei," Luna asked me looking a bit worried about me, "you look pale and tired."

"You shouldn't be too worried about me, this body is only a doll after all." I smiled slightlt towards the girls that were behind me.

"Maybe I should transform so that you can all ride on my back," Tamaki said in a very monotone soft voice.

"No, we'll need to conserve our magic, we dont know what we will face at that mountain," I said as I looked farther ahead.

All of a sudden we heard loud explosions from afar, it surprised us because it felt like it was close by but it was actually on the other side of the world. Since the world is inverted inside of the sphere, the moment we look up we would be bale to see the other side of the world. That's when I saw it, it was a white ship that looked like a massive blue whale in design. It was under attack by three huge demons, much larger than the ones we faced In New Ostia, the strange thing is the symbol on the ship was familiar.

"Wait isn't that the symbol of Ala Alba?" Koyomi Yelled out, her cat like eye sight is just empressive.

"Seriously?" Luna asked in complete surprise.

"I can sense them too, Negi's Magistra Magi" Tamaki exclaimed as she looked up at that ship.

"It also looks like they're in trouble," Homura looked back at me, we looked at each other for a few seconds.

"tch," this will put us behind, but can we even just fly up there, "I told them not to follow me, how did they even know I was here?"

"They're your friends Nagi-sensei, of course they'll follow you," Luna exclaimed with a smile, "Just like how we want to protect Negi-sensei now, they have always wanted to protect Negi-sensei."

"yeah, you're right," I smiled at Luna.

Tamaki Changed into a massive dragon and we all got on her back.

We chased after the ship and tried to fly as fast as she could. If we can just make it on time, we could help them. If Asuna is there, I can never forgive myself for letting her come here. Especially here in the underworld. We got higher and higher and the wind became stronger but we needed to get through. I needed to save Asuna, no I have to save Asuna.

-Luna-

I saw Negi's expression and I knew right away that he was thinking about Asuna, I know it shouldn't mean anything to me but it made me really sad. I knew that with all the girls that surrounded him, the only girl that really catches his eye is Asuna.

Note: sorry it's taking me so long to update guys. For one I'm running out of material and I've been pretty busy with work and school but please bear with me because I continue to write with whatever time I can find and with what material I think of to write in it.
