Maybe I'll get this chapter up early…Hopefully I do. If I'm lucky, I'll get Friday to be my regular update day. In any case, here's the next chapter of Redemption! Also, I forgot to mention American Vigor in my credit line in the first chapter – my Frieza somewhat mirrors his Cell, though my character comes to a realization through words, not a whack to the head. Oh, and Moori and most of the other Namekians are alive in my story (In my universe, they reason that Frieza cannot even use the damn things after he beats a few of them up, so they give him the balls, and offer him poisoned water, hoping he'll drink, but he refuses politely, handing it to Zarbon, who then dies awfully. Frieza zaps a few of them in annoyance, and has Dodoria literally sit on a few. Dodoria follows the same fate as Zarbon at the fifth village, though, and Frieza annihilates all but three of that village. And Frieza never killed Dende – Goku got there just in time to stop it – Frieza finds out in his fourth form instead of his third, after he completely atomizes Vegeta. Oh, and the timing of the Saiyan's arrival on Earth is different – they get there exactly one year before Piccolo and Gohan make it to Earth.) Frieza still beat the f*** out of Big Green, though, and Big Green fused with Piccolo, making Picconail, or Niccolo. Whatever. Without further ado, here we go!

Namek

"What do we do, Elder?" The young child Dende walked up to the aged Namekian Moori. "Lord Guru passed on guardianship of the Dragon Balls to you, right?" The old Namekian smiled at the child. "Yes Dende, he did. I made it just in time. He also received a visit from Frieza, but the alien left him alone." The young Namekian smiled. Since Frieza had left their village without a word, they didn't know what had happened to him. But that was about to change.

"Elder Moori! Listen! To the west. I heard Frieza…well…crying." A middle-aged Namekian ran over, pointing in the direction that he meant. Moori swiveled on spot, turning his head till he could hear. Indeed, the alien overlord was crying, and…apologizing? Moori's ears nearly fell off in surprise. Dende also was shocked. Having seen the alien's sadism firsthand, he could not believe what he was hearing. "I-I shall go investigate," murmured the Elder. "No, Elder Moori! You are too valuable to risk. Let me go in your stead," the other Namekian exclaimed. "How could you even consider risking yourself?" Moori felt a tug at his robes. Looking down, he saw Dende pulling at his robes. "Elder? May I go? As much as I dislike him, Frieza… 'knows' me better than either of you…And a child is not as threatening. Can I?" Moori contemplated the situation. He did not wish to see any more deaths, but this needed to be investigated. "…Very well. But go with – what is your name, young one?" He turned to the other Namekian. "Escar, Elder Moori." Moori turned back to the young healer. "Go with Escar, Dende. At the very least, there will be strength in numbers." Dende nodded, and started off towards the source of the sound, closely followed by Escar. Like Goku's attack pod, they left a blazing trail of white behind them.

They alit upon a small rocky outcropping a tenth of a mile away from the ship, the hole from Vegeta's blast still readily apparent in the main window, and the other, more gaping wound in the top from Goku's exit visible on the top. "So that's why we could hear him…He wasn't even a mile away from our village," muttered the older Namekian. "Come on, let's go see what is going on."

Inside the ship, Frieza started as a scouter near him started beeping, registering two power levels. He popped it on, and located two low power levels starting to descend on the ship. He frowned, and wiped his eyes before walking out of the room. He made a left, a right, then hit the hallway, and started again as the two power levels he was tracking walked right out in front of him. They all let out an involuntary yelp, and backed away from each other.

A three way standoff of silence ensued. Several minutes passed with no words exchanged between the three. Frieza broke the silence first. "What are you doing here?" The words came out shorter and harsher than he intended. "We…wanted to know what happened – why you fixed our houses…instead of killing us, like you did the rest…" Escar was the first of the Namekians to actually look at Frieza in the eyes without flinching, other than Guru. (though Frieza didn't know that the ancient Namekian had done so – the fat on the old being's face had prevented his eyes from even being seen.) Frieza looked down at the floor of the ship, his tail swishing in the air behind him. "I.." Frieza really didn't know what to say. "Perhaps…Come with me, please." Frieza turned and started back towards the room. Escar and Dende looked at each other in surprise, but followed the Arcosian.

At the door to the room, Frieza stopped. "This…This is the room that I used to plan my attacks – my takeovers – of other worlds. To understand why I am now so…different…you have to see what I was." He opened the door, turning on the light. Taking a chair, he motioned for Escar and Dende to do the same. "See here? That was the Saiyan planet Vegeta, formerly planet Plant. The Saiyans…populated it…after exterminating the native species, the Tuffles, or Tsufuru, as some called them. See this map?" Frieza asked, pointing. "That blank spot, that is where my planet once was…the planet of Arcos. The Saiyans destroyed it…" Dende looked up in shock. In the village, Moori's ears again felt like they were going to fall off his head. "Yes…it was they who destroyed my planet. It was none other than their king who did it – not the king that sat on the throne when I destroyed their planet. It was his father. I…I was just a child…" Frieza trailed off, the grief starting to creep up on him again. He began again, swallowing hard. "Ever since then, I have hated them for what they did. I barely made it off the planet, in a ship – this very one, in fact – and had a few other Arcosians with me that I had dragged on board, hoping that they would survive their wounds. They died, shortly after that, and there was nothing I could do. I was just a child, what could I do? So I trained, became stronger, made myself stronger. My power grew, and so did my anger…And I lashed out at so many...killed so many…" He started to cry again, lightly. Dende sat in his chair in absolute shock that this person before him, the very person who had killed his brother Cargo, was crying. "But that doesn't explain why you have terrorized and killed so many! Why did you come here and terrorize us, kill us, and torture us?" Escar exclaimed. Frieza looked up, sorrow evident in his eyes, and Escar saw self-loathing in those eyes, so mush self-loathing… "I-I don't know…Goku, the Saiyan, showed me that I was doing evil. I…At that point…I asked him to kill me. He refused…He told me that I needed to live with what I have done…and to redeem myself, and to come to him when I had."

Escar looked at the maps, pondering what the Arcosian had just said. Certainly, Frieza had done terrible things in his life. Though the Saiyans had destroyed his planet and killed his people, that did not excuse his actions, although it made them a bit more understandable. Beside him, Dende had similar thoughts running through his head. Then an idea popped into existence. "F-Frieza? I…have a suggestion." The young child cowered slightly, still more than just a little fearful of the former tyrant. "Yes, child? What is it?"asked Frieza, softly. Dende gulped, wishing he had a glass of water. Here goes, he thought. "Why not still use this as a plan of action? Help these people, instead of hurting them?" Frieza rolled the idea over in his head, and found it to be a good one. He smiled, a genuine smile. "Thank you, child. From the mouths of babes…" Escar spoke again. "Frieza, if I am correct…You can survive in space, right? I understand that many of your crewmen cannot. Was anything significantly damaged by those holes in your ship? I may be capable of repairing it. It is a natural ability among Namekians." Frieza smiled again. "Thank you…" He paused, then started again, hesitantly. "Thank you for being so forgiving…I don't deserve your kindness, by any stretch of the imagination, yet…Thank you." Escar smiled. "It is in our nature to be kind." Dende stood up, wincing as his knee was jammed by the table. "Frieza…I noticed that you are rather injured. Do you need healing?"

Far away in Otherworld, a short blue deity who had just gotten up from collapsing in laughter fell over again in shock and in part from fear.

Earth, just after Gohan and Piccolo return

The sky darkened as the Eternal Dragon was summoned forth. "Speak your wish!" boomed the mighty dragon. "Shenron! We wish for everyone who was killed by Frieza and his henchmen to be revived!" shouted the blue-haired Bulma. The dragon's eyes glowed, then dimmed. "That wish is beyond my power to grant. There are many who were killed previous to the past year." Bulma frowned. "Ok, then…can you do that for those in the past year?" The dragon's eyes glowed again and he growled. "Your wish has been granted! Now I shall leave." As the dragon disappeared, he was heard to grumble, "…helpless humans…if you're so smart, you could just wish for a machine or something to bring them back…but noooo…you have to bring me back. Ugh…worse than watching that jockstrap incident…"

Unfortunately, this brought back many people that they didn't expect to bring back. This included all of the Ginyu Force (save Guldo, who refused to come back and deal with Vegeta tossing stuff at him, and Recoome), Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, and a frog named Ginyu.

Havoc ensued.

Ok, yeah, shorter chapter. This is meant to be a sort of filler chapter. In other news – WOW. Record for me! 78 views on one chapter in less than an hour!...Dammit, I knew I should have revived Turles. Oh, well. (Just kidding, he's still alive.) Yes, that is big for me. I am sheltered. Thanks for the reviews! However…Poll time! Who wants Broly to have a part in this story? Actually – vote for the movies you want in here. Obviously, no Frieza's Return, or Cooler's Revenge, or Return of Cooler. The Big Gete Star will play a part in this fic, though. No GT yet, though.

Anyway, see you next time! Hope you like the fact that I neglected my work to get this out fast! (kidding) Have a nice day!
