*Austin's POV*
I woke up the next morning as last night's events slowly rushed back. A smile danced on my face as I realized I finally got to talk to Ally. She was so sweet and easy to talk to. Maybe I'll see her again sometime soon.
I have to go to the music store today though and get my guitar strings fixed, I've been procrastinating for too long. After showering I got dressed in my black jeans and red shirt with my favorite leather jacket. I always felt cool when I wore it., even rebel like.
I drove over with my busted guitar in the back and drove to the local music shop. My friend Dez works her part time every summer and so I knew he could get it done. I walked in as the bell dinged and went to the counter. I was simply tapping my fingers reading something when a familiar female voice said,
"Hey how can I help you?" I looked up seeing Ally from the coffeeshop. She smiled once she recognized me and instantly my smile returned.
"Hey good to see you! I just need some guitar strings fixed is all. I thought Dez was working today? Not that I don't mind seeing you I'm just confused is all." I ranted. God she must think I'm weird. Instead she laughed.
"He said he had an emergency with his pet Llama Carl, I told him I'd cover his shift in return to cover mine." she explained. I nodded trying to think of what else to say.
"So 2nd or 3rd?" she asked. I was lost for a minute but realized what she meant.
"2nd. Always been a problem with this guitar." I replied pulling it up and opening it for her to see.
"Oh my god it's goregeous..." she whispered in awe. I laughed seeing her amazment. It was kind of adorable how her eyes just lit up. Much like mine did when I first saw this wonderful Spencer in the shop.
"Yeah I've had her for years now. She was my first guitar." I told her.
"We'll take good care of her no worries." Ally assured me.
"I have no doubt you will." She smiled at me taking it into the back where they'd fix it up.
"H-Hey Ally?" I called out to her.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I was wondering, if you were busy this Saturday?" I asked nervously.
"Ummm, I don't think so. I've been waiting for this cute guy to ask me out so I've been saving my Saturday for him." she replied leaning towards me.
"Oh, bummer. He's a lucky guy." I said deflated. She laughed shaking her head at me.
"That's you, Austin. What did you have in mind?" she asked. I felt a little tickle in my stomach hearing her say I'm cute.
"I-I was thinking we could get some dinner? Maybe see a movie." I replied propping my elbows up meeting her gaze.
"Sounds good to me. Can you pick me up at 7?" she asked smiling cheekily.
"Sure. You pick what movie we see and I'll pick where we have dinner, mkay?" I replied feeling electric. She had me so excited for Saturday. God it's only Thursday...How am I gonna last til then?
"Alrighty. I'll see you then Austin." I leaned in not helping myself and kissing her on the cheek.
"See you then Ally." I said as I pushed the door open. I walked to my car letting the nice breeze hit my face. I went over to Dez to see how his llama was.
"Hey Dez you guys doing alright here?" I asked walking in. He was sitting on the chair feeding Carl.
"Yes, you get your guitar to the shop?" he replied. I nodded with a smile on my face.
"Okay there's no way you're this psyched about Kelly (my guitar)." he said smirking.
"No but I'm glad she's getting fixed. You know that girl I told you I met? Ally?" I began.
"Yeah I work with her at the store, she's cool." he replied.
"Well, we're going to hang out Saturday, dare I call it a date?" I asked feeling giddy. I flopped on his water bed hanging on the edge.
"She's just...amazing! We laugh and talk about the randomest things. She's funny, cute and likes ducks. I want to know more about her like I want to see her more often, am I crazy?" Dez laughed shaking his head.
"I'm crazy Austin, but no I think you're in like with Ally. It's when you're not close enough to be in love but you know them enough to like them. You're simply in like with her." he explained. I laid down taking in Dez's in depth information.
"I'm in like with her." I said to myself. After considering what that meant I found myself falling to sleep on Dez's comfy water bed.
