*Ally's POV*

I took off my uniform pin and threw on my jeans jacket as my shift was up. Dez should be here soon to cover my shift. I heard the bell ding and saw a familiar boy with black hair walk in.

"What do you want Dallas?" I asked irritated.

"I was wondering if you had any pianos on sale?" he replied as if this were normal, us talking instead of yelling.

"There's a few for 450 but for a grand paino it'll be close to 750. I told him not giving him eye contact. I grabbed my phone turning towards the door. He gently grabbed my arm and pulled me to him.

"I miss you, I miss us." he said staring at me.

"No you miss someone putting up with all of your crap. I'm done Dallas, I'm going on dates with someone." I replied emotionless.

"Really? Interesting. Honestly I haven't gone on any dates since we've broken up. It's not the same."

"Darn right it's not, this guy actually makes me smile. All you do is make me cry."

"Please just give me a chance Ally I'm a better man now. You made me a better man." he begged. I shook my head.

"I don't think I can, why don't you run off and find Brooke I'm sure you miss your sex buddy more than me."

"It was one mistake I never spoke to her again, I still haven't! Allison Marie please give me a chance." I sighed looking at him dead in the eye.

"That's all you get. This chance does not translate into an immediate relationship. I will talk to you and see where it goes. That's ALL Dallas." I replied. He broke into a smile of relief and hugged me tightly.

"I promise you won't regret this Ally. Same number right?" I nodded going to the door which he opened for me.

"Bye Dallas." I walked to my car and drove to my favorite icecream shop to think. I needed to talk to someone, someone who I could vent to. Trish is working, Melanie is probably with her boyfriend Carter. Who else could I call?

"Austin?" I said once the ringing stopped.

"Yes Ally?" he replied.

"I-I need help." I claimed biting my lip.

"Meet at the coffee shop in ten okay?" he suggested.

"Okay."

Keep it together Ally he's trying to be there for you. Let him be there.

I was so tempted to bite my hair it wasn't even funny. I haven't bitten my hair in over a year. That, takes skill. I walked into the coffee shop where Austin waved his hand letting me know where we were sitting. I sat down across from him feeling antsy from seeing Dallas.

"So what's the matter?" he asked looking at me with concern.

"I saw someone I haven't seen in awhile and it brought back awful memories..."

Stop yelling at me! I HATE YOU!

You're such a child! God why coudn't I find a girl who knows what the hell she's doing with her life.

Nothing that concerns you!

"Ally? Ally, hey." he said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"It was bad Austin...It was really awful." I whispered. He put his warm hand on mine.

"Wow you're cold...Anyways you can talk to me about it if that helps." he pointed out with a small smile. Gosh he's so sweet.

"Well, I was in a crappy relationship. The guy treated me like I was dirt and expected me to be a diamond. For awhile I was kinda lost not knowing what I was going to do next but...He just wasn't worth all the pain. He never touched me, never laid a hand on me but his words were always so cruel. then he started drinking and eventually cheated on me..."

"That was the last straw especially because I worked with the girl at the mall. I quit that job, broke up with Dallas and got a job at Sonic Boom. He wasn't going to make me cry anymore." I explained.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You have a lot of history with this guy and he did you wrong." Austin replied. I shrugged.

"He was right at times, I mean after we split I got my life together. I'm going to school and becoming a music teacher. I should be in a classroom by the time I'm 25 maybe 26. It's eye opening." I ranted feeling that giddy smile appear on my face.

"That's amazing Ally, I wish the best for you on your journey to adulthood. Don't mind me I'll be basking in the moment of still being a teenager."

"Haha, wait aren't you like 20?" I asked. He chuckled.

"Oh please I'm flattered, no I'm 19. How bout you missy?" he replied.

"You know, it's impolite to ask a lady her age but for you I'll make an exception."

"Oh of course, lucky me." he was so flirting with me. Wait, does this count as flirting? I don't know it's been awhile...

"I'm 18 going on 19 soon."

"Going on 19? Are you gonna say that in 20 years? 'Oh I'm 39 going on 40!' No one says that." he said laughing.

"I do! I'll say it til I'm 90!" I exclaimed trying to stay serious. But it was too late, his laugh is too friggin' infectious and I couldn't help myself.

"Thanks for this Austin, it means a lot." I said after we calmed down. He smiled at me.

"Anytime Als." he replied.

"Als? That's definitely a new one."

"A cute one I might add, come on you know you like it." I blushed so bad I was worried he noticed.

"Fine, I'll accept this new nickname if you let me call you Aussie." I challenged. He whined immediately.

"But that's so girly! I'm not Australian at all either!" I laughed covering my mouth in case I looked silly.

"But it's adorable! Come on please?" I pleaded with my adorable at times face. He sighed shaking his head at me.

"Ally Dawson you will be the death of me. Fine. I herby accept my nickname in order for you to accept yours."

"It's a done deal."
