So sorry I have taken so long to update! I've just finished school and started summer so expect more updates! As long as I get three reviews every chapter c; Enjoy!
As I read the next part of the Divergent Series by the amazing Veronica Roth my phone buzzed with a new message.
I miss you..
I groaned aloud not caring for Dallas' guilt messages. Should I have given him another chance? I mean everyone deserves one right? Ugh I don't know.
"Alls! I'm here!" Austin called out. OH CRAP I FORGOT OUR DATE!
"One second!" I yelled running to my closet. Gotta find something cute. I grabbed a white top that falls loosely on my shoulders and some black jeans with my favorite white and black converse. I brushed through my hair and put on some perfume. To finish up I added some light pink lip gloss and walked out to meet Austin's gaze.
"Wow…. Y-You look amazing." He stuttered out throwing his hand in his pocket. I just realized his other was behind his back.
"Thanks, so what are you hiding behind your back..?" I asked curiously. He smiled walking closer to me.
"Oh just something I picked up on the way." He pulled out a bouquet of flowers and handed them to me.
"Aww Austin these are beautiful! I'll go find a vase and we can go." I leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek which immediately turned red. He's such a sweet heart.
"Alright Aussie let's get going!" I claimed meeting him at the door. He opened it and motioned for me.
"After you Als." I smiled at him and he led the way. Today was a bit chilly but it was a short walk. I think it was some type of coffee shop much like the one we met. This was different though, it had like an open mike.
"Hi right this way." A waiter said leading us to a table.
"What can I get for you two to drink?" he asked.
"A hot chocolate for the both of us please. Cinnamon for the lady and marshmallows for me." Austin replied smiling at me.
"Hey you remembered!" I said once the waiter left.
"Duh, who else puts cinnamon in their hot chocolate?" he teased.
"Haha oh hush brings your business mister." He smiled and we talked while sipping the hot chocolate the waiter later brought.
"So I have another surprise but I don't want you to freak out okay?" Austin began.
"Umm, okay." I laughed nervously. He got up and magically pulled his guitar out, Kelly I think, and started strumming.
You know this isn't how I usually start a date
But when I looked at you I couldn't look away
From your brown hair to the tip of your nose
Your cute shoulders to the tip of your toes
Let me try and tell you how I feel about you
I get lost in those eyes you know I do
Oh Ally, oh Ally
You're beginning to mean a lot to me
Ally, oh Ally
I'm in like with you can't you see
From your brown hair to the tip of your nose
Your cute shoulders to the tip of your toes
He jumped up on stage with the rest of the band and started playing.
Please tell me that you feel the same
Cause these feelings aren't going away
I've got so much to tell you
So much you gotta know
There's so much to learn about you
So much I wanna know
And I'll spend everyday just to figure it out
And if you let me maybe I could take you out *he winked at me*
To a nice little restaurant and we can laugh all about
How I tried to sweep you off your feet
But you made me trip over mine
Ally, oh Ally
You're starting to mean so much to me
Ally, oh Ally
I'm in like with you can't you see
He came back down and walked his way over to me
Ally won't you dance with me?
He finished and everyone started screaming with applause and cheers. That was pretty good I'll admit.
"So, what do you say?" he asked holding his hand out smiling at me.
"Of course I'll dance with you." I replied taking his hand. Everyone around us got even more excited as the band played an upbeat but slow dance type of song for us to sway to. Next thing I know other couples are dancing around us. It was such a lovely atmosphere to be a part of.
It was all thanks to Austin.
"You're absolutely amazing." I said in complete awe.
"I could say the exact same about you Als." He replied kissing my nose. I laughed laying my head on his chest.
In the corner of my eye I saw Dallas sitting at the bar and had a beer in his hand. It gave me chills and I nuzzled deeper into Austin's chest.
"Hey, what's the matter?" he asked.
"Nothing, I just want to be here with you."
"Ally, you're freezing. Here." He said giving me his jacket and pulling me back into his arms.
"I'm okay, as long as I have you.. " I said rather quietly but I think he heard me because he held me tighter. Meanwhile Dallas had the nastiest look on his face. In my pocket I could feel my phone buzzing but I didn't dare check it. I'm not gonna let Dallas ruin this for Austin and I. This is our first date, and I don't want it to be the last.
"You ready to go? I have one last surprise for you." Austin said beaming.
"Of course, I love your surprises!" I agreed. We paid and he grabbed his guitar (and my hand) as we made our way out of there. That made me feel better not having to see Dallas give the cold stare I always hated..
"Alright Ally close your eyes please." Austin said.
"Do I have to?" I asked smiling nervously.
"Yes! Trust me will ya?" I laughed shutting my eyes.
"Okay keep your eyes closed. Not yet…. Not…..Yet…..Now!" Austin exclaimed. I opened and saw a book in his hands.
"Is that….." I trailed off.
"Yes! It's the last book of your series. Trish gave me the idea to pick it out for you, I've been saving my paycheck for a rainy day and this book wasn't expensive so… Here." He explained.
"OH MY GOD THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" I cried jumping into his arms. He laughed and we fell over but I didn't even care.
"You're welcome Ally." He said looking up at me. Our eyes met and I had that cliché feeling like we were the only ones in the world. He gently placed his hand on my cheek and started leaning in. My heart was beating so fast and our lips were inches away from meeting when-
"ALLY!" I froze recognizing that same voice.
"Ally I still love you."
