Chapter 6 What Can I Do
Wow I cannot believe how quickly I got reviews for the next chapter! You guys are the best and most amazing audience I could ever ask for! I'm really glad you guys liked Melanie I really felt like another of Ally's friends needed to be introduced. And sorry for the Melanie boyfriend mix up, I accidentally revealed one of Austin's new friends! Melanie is dating Carter :3 Enjoy!
*Austin's POV*
I felt my internal alarm go off and woke up to a bright light in my eyes. I began to stretch when I realized something was on top of my chest.
More like someone.
I smiled once I saw Ally was sound asleep on me. I must have really fell asleep and stayed with her all night. Problem is, I need to get up without waking her up. Slowly I slipped a pillow under her in place for me but I think with the change in her sleepy facial expression she knew the difference. My god she was adorable when she slept. I couldn't help myself but to kiss her on the forehead.
Walking over to her table I wrote a note so she wouldn't think I just ditched after an amazing night with her.
Hey Ally, turns out you were really comfy and so was I. Last night was great and I hope to see you again soon. I didn't want to wake you up so I left you this note. Haha dorky maybe but a beautiful girl like you deserves the cheesiest. Talk to you later Als –Austin
I left the note on top of the book I got her so I now she'd see it. Then I quietly took my leave and walked home. Once I got there I saw someone had been inside already. Carefully I opened my door and walked in.
"Hello?" I called out.
"Boo!" someone exclaimed making me jump and turned. I laughed shaking my head seeing it was my good pal Emmet.
"Wow man you really know how to sneak up on someone." I said.
"Oh please you know I scared you." He signed.
My friend Emmett is deaf by the way so he does sign language. I've known how to use it since I was 7 because that's when we first met and I wanted to befriend him. He knows how to read lips really well but when he's lazy (almost all the time) he depends on signing.
"Whatever! So what's up?" I asked. He scratched his head.
"I met this girl at the local music store…I haven't been able to get her out of my head!" he said falling onto my bed.
"Okay so Emmett has a crush! Haha tell me about her dude." He sighed and smiled.
"She has this long brown hair that bonces when she walks… And these pretty brown eyes that seem almost golden when she smiles. Then her smile, god her smile is just- amazing."
"Wow you have it bad!" I exclaimed laughing. He shook his head.
"I can't though! She's hearing and it's really hard for me to communicate with her. I have to write it down or else she's completely lost. It's so much easier with a girl who at least knows sign language."
"Okay that's understandable, but if you're genuinely interested in her you gotta give her a chance. Does she like you?" I questioned.
"I don't know, I mean I haven't gotten the courage to ask her on a date."
"Then let's go now and I'll help you out!" I offered.
"There's no way its open right now, what if she isn't even there?"
"Well let's take a chance and find out!"
After convincing him that he only lives once and this girl sounds like the woman of his dreams we walked over to Sonic Boom. Dez was outside hanging out with Cassidy and he waved over to us.
"Hey guys! Sorry we're on a break but Ally is inside covering for us. She was running late this morning." Dez explained. Emmett smiled and walked inside after nodding to Dez.
"She had to work this morning?" I asked. Ugh I feel so bad! I apparently should have woken her up this morning!
"Yeah she said she was hanging out with Melanie and someone else so after a long night she lost track of time this morning and forgot to set her alarm. It's cool though we're not sticklers." Cassidy said laughing. I took a breath of relief. The last thing I wanted was to get her fired.
"Wow looks like Emmett is hitting it off with Ally." Cassidy said smiling. I looked inside through the window and to my surprise Ally was smiling and reading something Emmet wrote.
Wait….How did I not realize Emmett's crush was on Ally?!
"They'd be kinda cute together." Dez claimed making me look at him in shock. He gasped and said,
"Oh wait aren't you in like with Ally?"
"Austin, you like Ally?" Cassidy asked. The way she said it made me confused. I thought I told her already.
"Yeah, we've been talking and hanging out lately. She's really cool." I replied.
"Oh…" she said.
"But now Emmett is probably asking her out on a date or something so she'll have to say yes!" I exclaimed covering my face.
"Hey, maybe she really likes you and will politely turn him down."
The little bell rang that dings when someone enters or leaves the store meaning Emmett had come out.
"She said she'd hang out with me Friday! We're gonna go see the new Avengers movie with her friend Melanie and her boyfriend. This is awesome!"
She said yes…
"That's great Emmett!" Cassidy said giving him a high five. Even as he was so excited from getting a yes from Ally I couldn't help but wonder why she agreed to it. Does she not like me? Was that date just a trial run for her? I mean I helped her with Dallas and even wrote her a song.
I feel like such an idiot right now…
"Austin? Hey man you okay?" Dez asked. I saw everyone was staring at me.
"Uh, yeah! Was just thinking about something. Hey I'm gonna go to that café across the street. I need to umm… let out some thoughts." I replied with a smile.
"Sure! Want me to come?" Cassidy asked.
"Yeah if you wanna." I replied shrugging. She smiled and walked with me to the same café I took Ally to earlier that week. I waited my turn to go up to the mic before telling the band to follow my lead. They're really good at improvising like seriously.
I spent a few of my days trying to contemplate
