Hi there, just a quick note: I just want to say I'm glad you guys are enjoying the story so far and that I'm thinking about changing the title.
After the Hydra attack Akira quickly coaxed everyone through the forest and through the river. The river was shallow and only went up to their ankles, but it was cold. "Come on guys after we cross the river it's just up that hill." Akira stood until the others walked past her, but noticed Jin was a bit behind. "Jin what's going on, why are you slow?" Akira moved in front of him.
"Nothing, just I think I hurt my arm when I had to jump out of the way from the Hydras attacks."
"Let me see" Akira grabbed Jins left arm and began inspecting it, "hmm, it looks like you broke it" she sighed "and it's going to take a while to heal, but for now we need to make a splint."
"Is that really necessary?"
"Of course it is we don't need anything else to happen to it! Any more injuries will slow us down. Besides Echo has medial training so she can help you when we get there." Akira grabbed a nearby stick and broke some twigs off and pulled Jins choker off. "Hey, you seem nice and if you don't mind me asking, why were sent there?"
"Well…"Jin watched as she tightened the black choker around Jins arm and stick. "I have a second personality, we call him Spades, my father cursed me with him; he's violent and hurts people…a lot." He trailed off.
Akira looked down and finished up "That will have to do for now" Akira smiled at him, "come on we need to catch up with the others." The two ran across the river and caught up with the group at the top of the hill.
"What's the matter Jin?" Frieda asked concerned.
"Broke it" he shrugged slightly.
"Is that it?" Rosalina asked looking down to the small log cabin that sat next to a muddy lake. The cabin is self was in pretty terrible condition.
"Yes and by the looks of it the others have already gotten here.
"Well, let's go in then" Frieda looked at the grass as she walked, not really wanting to step in one of the mud holes.
"Eww, gross!" Evei pulled her foot out of a mud hole in disgust. "What's up with all the mud?" Kuro even slipped and slid a couple feet down the hill. Akira laughed and pulled him up. Finally the group entered the cabin. They were greeted by the warmth of the fireplace and smell of food.
"Finally!" Aki exclaimed and stood up, she pulled Akira to the side and they began to talk.
"Jin your arm" Echo grabbed the boys arm and led him to the old dining table. The others sat and began to catch up with each other and eat.
Zeo sighed in exhaustion; he had made it to the southwest mountains and was currently traveling up on of the trails that led to a small village. As he walked he played around with his silver pendant. He smiled slightly as he twirled it around. "STOP, RIGHT THERE!" A pair of footsteps was heard running toward him. He turned around to see a black haired girl with crystal blue eyes behind him. She wore a long white kimono with a black flowered pattern. "You're trespassing on ancient land only resident of the village of Oshimoto have the rights to!" Her shoulder length hair blew in the night breeze "And as the lands guardian it's my job to get you out of here."
"So you're Hikari guardian of this mountain and the shrine that lies ahead?"
"That is correct" she nodded, "Now I will ask you once to leave and never return."
"No can do, my boss needs one of your villages ancient artifacts" Zeo stopped fiddling with his pendant.
"Very well, I will fight you for it."
