The three of them weaved through the many rooms of the first class deck, looking for somebody to point them to a ship. Even Jack, who had passed through many of the areas, could not remember where to go. Everything that was once grand had been reduced to debris and impending chaos. The rooms were abandoned and devoid of voices, only the trickling of the Atlantic could be heard seeping in. Passing through the smoking room, a man stood fixated staring at the fireplace.

"Mr. Andrews?"
He turned to Rose as she addressed him and surveyed the room as if only just being alerted to the situation.
"I was hoping that I wouldn't be seeing you still here Rose, no offence intended" he smiled sadly, "I'm sorry that I couldn't have built you a better ship."
"C'mon, we need to go" stressed Tommy impatiently.
Rose nodded as Jack took her hand and went to pull her away.
"Wait!"
She turned back to see Mr. Andrews handing her his lifebelt. Understanding what this gesture meant, she rushed forward and embraced him tightly.
"Thank you" she whispered through falling tears as they left, and with that he turned back to his mantle.

For what seemed like an eternity, Jack, Rose and Tommy scrambled about the deck looking for their miracle raft. However their efforts were in vain; all the boats had set sail.
"Right boyo, what's our plan now?" Tommy asked, remaining outwardly calm.
"I'm not sure, perhaps we should-"
Jack's thoughts were interrupted by the disturbance in the floor below him as the ship groaned from the weight of the ocean. The stern of the ship had filled fast when punctured, causing the bow to begin tilting upwards.
"We need to get to the back of the ship" Jack decided.
"It's all going to be under the water eventually" cried Rose as she observed the people around them. People were already resorting to jumping off the edge to meet their death.
"It'll give us more time to think" reasoned Jack. Tommy and Rose looked back at him and reluctantly agreed, deciding it was their best bet for survival.

As they pushed forward, the remaining passengers followed suit closely behind them. Rose grasped Jack and Tommy's hands firmly as they navigated through the crowd. The power dimmed and flickered as the water crept up slowly behind them, forcing the already panicked passengers to surge further forward. The bow had now begun to rise out of the water, creating a steep slope for those who wished to get to the rails. Rose looked back in horror as the tired and weary lost their footing and therefore lost their fight, sliding towards the icy white water that was chasing them. At last the three of them made it to the railing and clung on for dear life as the ship was raised to a further incline.

Next to them on the rail clung a broken man, who upon turning his face to the trio became recognizable.
"Where's Cora?" yelled Tommy shakily, praying that the little angel had made it onto the boat.
Cora's father wept, his whole body lurching in defeat. Tommy, still holding the rail tight made his way over to comfort him. Rose looked numbly over the edge at the propeller that had emerged from beneath the black water.
"Jack, this is where we first met" exclaimed Rose, staring straight into his worried eyes. Jack pulled her forward and kissed her head aggressively, trying to focus on that moment in time.

The slope was now too steep to climb; Jack, Rose and Tommy were the lucky ones who made it to the rail early. Hundreds of passengers unwillingly plunged towards the water to join the people and corpses that were already bobbing within it. Suddenly the screaming around them became louder as the power cut out completely. Aside from the moon above them, everything became dark. The creaking of the deck was heard once more as the wood shot free of its nails and began to splinter. Cracks of electricity thundered in from below as the ship was splitting in two. The stern swang back towards the sea, causing a tidal wave upon landing back on the Atlantic.

The bow had been submerged completely and was pulling the stern back with it. Jack assessed the situation and instructed Rose and Tommy to climb over the rail, knowing the ship was about to be pulled vertical. The Titanic did just that, following the bow slowly into the depths.
"Listen to me Rose, take a deep breath and hold it right before we go into the water. The ship will suck us down. Kick for the surface and keep hold of my hand" shouted Jack.
He felt the responsive squeeze and heard the words "I trust you Jack".
The three of them faced the ocean that was rushing toward them, the other passengers being swallowed before them. The ship was about to disappear completely, the rush of water sounding like the galloping of a thousand horses.
"Now!" yelled Jack right before he inhaled. With that the water hit him with its icy touch, causing pain to ripple through his entire body.

Daring to open his eyes for a moment, Jack watched the remains of the Titanic fall deeper into the abyss. Determined to survive, with all the strength he could muster Jack kicked towards the surface. He finally reached it, gasping furiously as Rose came up beside him still clutching his hand. The two of them looked around between breaths, searching for Tommy. He still hadn't surfaced.
"He'll come up soon" said Jack through chattering teeth, offering a grim smile.
The splutters of other passengers could be heard but there was no sign of Tommy. Many of the people surrounding them had already succumbed to the cold, and were now frostbitten corpses. After a minute a sad realisation hit them both; they'd never see Tommy again.

"Come on we, need to find something to keep us afloat" said Rose. Jack, who was treading water, knew that this would be his safest bet. As they were about to swim out, Jack's heart stopped. There floating among the dead bodies was Trudy, still in her maid outfit. He forced back tears as he grabbed the lifebelt from under her arm; she never even had a chance to put it on. Rose held him up as he put it over his shoulders, the two of them the only two fighting to stay alive in the sea of death.
