Bella's Point of View

The drive had been much longer than I had thought it was going to be, but with Nessie's enthusiasm, it made everything much more bearable. She truly had a beautiful way of seeing the world; I wished that I could see the world with such innocence.

"Momma, where are we? " Nessie wondered with an eager smile.

Edward had just parked the car in front of what would be considered our unofficial residence. Harrisburg was a big town, which I understood; it was still much smaller than Phoenix, however it did bring back a feeling of nostalgia.

"Harrisburg, Pennsylvania," I said getting out of the car, and opening up her door for her, and Jimmy to get out. "We will be staying her for a bit,"

Edward and I decided on a small house that just touched the beginning of a large everglade of wildlife. It was a very small piece of land, but it made our little home here a little more private to the rest of the city.

Nessie and Jimmy leaped out of the car, looking around with bright smiles.

"Wow, this place is so different," Nessie, said eyeing up the house, then nodding towards the woods. "Can we go play in there?"

Edward paused for a moment, and nodded slightly. "You can so my sweet, but first you should get your things, would you like to see your new room?"

Nessie's eyes brightened in excitement. "Yes!" She smiled, and quickly went to the trunk. Jimmy followed her, and began to help her get her luggage.

I looked towards Edward curiously, making my way towards the trunk as well to pick up the remaining bags as Nessie and Jimmy went running with them into the house.

"Are you alright?" I wondered, noticing Edward's tense expression.

He shook his head, taking the bags from my hands gently, kissing the top of my head. "Nothing is wrong, there just seems to be a slight issue."

"What kind of issue?"

"Jacob," Edward sighed, slowly walking with me, entering the house.

Oh boy, I'm sure this was going to be a problem… I knew Edward still had a hard time with completely letting Jacob claim so much of our daughter, and I felt the same way about the situation… I just wanted my baby to be happy… and if that meant Jacob… then I would stay quiet about their strange relationship.

"What about him?" I asked quietly, taking just a small look around the house.

It was nothing impressive, it was modern, simple, and very open; which I really did like. I still missed the cottage back in Forks, it was my dream home… nothing would ever replace the magic I felt when I was there.

"He doesn't have a place to stay, and he wants to come here." Edward muttered, a frown on his face. "I know that Jacob is a very close friend of ours, I know that he would do anything for Nessie, but I just don't know if I can put up with him living here, and dealing with the constant thoughts that comes from his mind, when it comes to our daughter."

I cringed slightly at the thought, shaking my head. "I agree with you, I really don't think it would be a good idea, I realize she is just a baby, but at the same time… there needs to be some boundaries."

Edward seemed to breath out in relief as he allowed himself to smile at me. "I was hoping you would feel the same way, there is nothing to worry about than," He said seeming to relax as we made our way up the stairs. "Alice had taken the liberty of renting the whole first floor of an apartment for some of the wolves that decided to tag along, surely there will be an open room for him there,"

I chuckled at this, and with a sigh I plopped my suitcase down on the floor of our new bedroom. Taking a fast glance around, the only ideal feature of this room was the small balcony that overlooked the front yard, and the huge white bed that sat in elegant lace, and rose petals.

"This isn't to bad," I smiled, lightly sating a seat on the edge of the bed.

Edward gave me a sly look, coming over to me in a speed that took my breath away, his lips coming down on mine with passionate heat.

A burning desire started bubbling inside of me as I deepened the kiss, but quickly we had to pull away as I heard tiny footsteps running towards our room.

Without warning Nessie and Jimmy came running in with a grin. "Momma, daddy can we go play in the woods now?"

Edward seemed to regain his composure, throwing them an easy smile. "Alright, but don't wonder off to far from home." He said, and as soon as he left he turned back to me, sitting down next to me.

I leaned my head down on his shoulder. "She seems to really be enjoying herself."

"Yes, I think this was a good idea doing this, Forks truly will be a special place for me, but now I have the rest of forever to give Nessie, and you the most experiences as possible."

I smiled at his words, closing my eyes in peace.

His words made me feel so much better about this whole thing. Sure I would be leaving Forks for a long time, but I knew it wouldn't be going anywhere, and we would go back some day… but for now it will only be a sweet memory from the past.

As Edward and I continued to unpack, stock up the fridge, and get ourselves comfortable in our new home, we decided to sit out on the balcony in the little tiny wooden swing.

We could see Nessie and Jimmy from here, just playing around in the yard, playing tag, chasing each other, but eventually they ended up laying down in the tall grass, watching the sun slowly sink from the sky.

They truly did seem to be happy just being in each other's company, it was kind of how I felt when I was with Edward, it didn't matter what I was doing, or where I was, as long as I was with Edward I was happy to just exist for the rest of eternity.

"You know, Jimmy was the best thing that has ever happened to her," I said quietly, hugging my legs to my chest as I watched down at him.

Edward cracked a knowing smile. "Yes, I've never see her so… happy… even her thoughts… they are turning more towards Jimmy than Jacob."

"I'm sure that doesn't bother you one bit."

He responded with a smooth laugh. "Not one bit, Nessie deserves to have someone her age to talk with, and spend time with, she truly is happy."

This warmed my heart. "I'm glad,"

Peaceful silence sat between us for a while, but as I began to think, I couldn't hold back the many questions I still had.

"So, what is Carlisle going to do," I muttered lowly. "Do you know his plans on this whole issue?"

Edward paused, watching me with a calculated look. "I'm not completely sure what he plans on doing, but I do know that he isn't going to give ultimate power to one person, he will be making this fair, and he will try to uphold our laws in a way much more fitting then senseless violence, and harsh punishments."

I nodded slowly. "I trust that he knows what's best, if anyone in the world would know, it would be Carlisle."

"I suppose that is why we are all here," Edward continued his eyes wondering down to Nessie and Jimmy. "We are here to support whatever he decides to do."

"That meeting is in the morning isn't it," I sighed, chewing my lips as I tried to think of how I was going to manage getting someone to watch Nessie, everyone would be expected to attend the meeting, even the wolves.

"Yes, Nichole volunteered to stay behind, and watch the kids, Seth and Leah will be staying behind with her of course."

I'm sure that it going to be awkward for everyone.

"So Rose was alright with letting Jimmy behind?" I wondered, a smile coming to my face.

Edward chuckled. "Barely, she is still debating on sneaking him into the meeting, she doesn't really want him out of her sight, she barely could stay letting him ride with us, and stay over here for a bit."

I understood exactly how Rose felt, but of course this would be a little different for her, she has gone her whole life wanting a child, and now that she had one she didn't want to lose him… Although I love Nessie to death, I don't think I would ever truly understand how badly it would feel to want something for so long… to not believe it would be possible to get… and now when it is giving to me… I could dare imagine life without it.

Everything really seemed to be working out so well for everyone, and for once my bad luck seemed to be gone… but there still was this nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach that something was going to happen… and make things even worse than before…

I just didn't know what that might be…
