Chapter 8
Finale: Kakarotto's Absolution

A/N 2: I changed the ending because of the fan theory I have. I think you'll find it sensible that Goku, is Kakarotto when he's in the battle field and off the battle field he is our sweet innocent Goku. He is able to balance his saiyan nature with his earthling persona.
Chichi has seen it all in fortune teller Baba's crystal ball. All the violence and hostilities that her husband's evil counterpart would have caused if Goku lost complete control over his body and mind; and if Chichi didn't seek the help of Krillin, Piccolo and Baba. She's also thankful to Master Roshi that, he contacted Baba for her.
Chichi weeps bitterly after seeing every pain and disturbance that Kakarotto would have caused in their world. Baba speaks with concern to her."Chichi. I know this is really hard for you; but I have to show you this, so that you will understand you cannot chicken out in doing the final phase in retrieving Goku's total control over his mind and body. It is somehow good that there is still a glimpse of Goku in the Kakarotto you're with."
Chichi wiped her tears then remarked with determination."I've already made up my mind and I don't plan to fail." Baba nodded in approval and ushered her to the chamber where Kakarotto is confined. He is fastened on a bed with a ki belt from his chest down to his feet. He looks so handsome and sweet. Exactly like when he was still Goku. The antidote has already taken effect on his body.
Chichi sits behind his head and laid her hands on him. Baba started to recite a sacred lithany. Then Chichi is translated into the mind of her husband. She found herself surrounded with green meadows, big boulders and a green sky. The serenity gave Chichi an inner peace which she definitely needs right now. After absorbing her surrounding. She begins to look for Goku . She feels her heart beating at a rapid phase while searching for her husband.
After walking for about a mile she heard two men in a heated argument. Apparently it sounds like the voice she heard is arguing with himself because the voice sounded exactly alike. Chichi walked faster and hid behind a boulder and peeked to see those who are arguing heatedly. She saw the two personas of her husband. She is able to distinguish her Goku from Kakarotto.
Chichi didn't show herself first because she wants to hear what they're arguing about. "You cannot deny who you really are Son Goku! I am the real you. Without my influence, you wont be able to defeat and critically hurt Frieza!"Kakarotto snarled. " That wasn't you. That was all me! Because if you have influence on me I would've killed him but I didn't" Goku yelled indignantly.
" You are evil you are designed to kill the innocent! I am not like that! I never wanted to be you!" Goku continued to seeth in anger."No matter how much you reject me, we are one and the same!" With that Goku punched the side of the boulder where Kakarotto is entrapped. He deeply sighed and said again." Son Goku, as long as you deny me control and accept that we are one, I will always fight for control over you. And I promise you it will be very unpleasant for you and your family and friends."
"Not if I have a say in the matter." Chichi suddenly speaks. Goku upon seeing Chichi springs to her and then twirled her around. Both of them are so engrossed with each other and has forgotten about Kakarotto. Suddenly Goku felt Kakarotto's stare boring to them. At a swift movement Kakarotto held her tightly. "Hey! Let go of my wife!" Goku roared in anger. Kakarotto riled him up more by saying, " don't you forget she's mine too. I pleasure her in a way that drives her wild." He licked Chichi's neck. The good thing is; Chichi is prepared for this. She shut her eyes and concentrated. Then quickly she kicked his shin and elbowed his nose. As she escaped Kakarotto, she delivered a round house kick on the side of his head and then Goku attacked with a shockwave punch far stronger than he used on Chichi. Before he could react, The couple ganged up on him. Goku and Chichi has proven to be an unbeatable team.
Kakarotto is chained once again. He sullenly looked at Chichi and called her. Despite Goku's reluctance Chichi went over to Kakarotto. He said too much Chichi's surprise." I'm sorry for all this. I thought I can regain my control over Goku and take over his life. And then conquer earth. Your love is far stronger than my influence no matter how hard I tried, my other self fights back. And it's all because of you. Chichi I feel for you the way Goku does and for that I yield." When Chichi is about to hold his hand as a gesture of gratitude, she then sees Kakarotto engulfed in white aura. When it dissipated, it is now Goku who stands in front of her. They engaged in a passionate kiss.
After the ritual, the son family thanked their friends and Baba and they all went home. The next day, the Son family together with Gyu Mao, Piccolo and Krillin went on a fishing trip. And on that evening Chichi prepared a hearty dinner for Goku and his friends. They celebrated that he's back to being their cheerful and gentle Goku. But to the evil enemies of earth, he is the powerful saiyan warrior Kakarotto.
All of them can be at peace now that Kakarotto has yielded to Goku for the sake of Chichi. They can go back to train for the androids.
A/N: On this finale chapter, this is what happened on the main timeline of the story. The divergence on chapter seven is the vision which Baba showed Chichi in case she backs out...
