"Author's Note: I know I've been awohl for a long time. College and I were just a mess. I'm going to try to get back on track. So, where were we?..."

Jacob had been gone for what seemed like an eternity. And I had been sobbing all the while, draped in a blanket, sitting on the steps. Snow was drifting down a little thicker now, but my abnormal temperature was enough to melt what collected on me. I'd even formed a little slushy halo where I sat, the perfect outline of by butt giving me a little something to focus on other than the cold his absence left me with.
The sudden snap of a twig pulled my attention back to the woods that encased my home, the porch light glinting off of a pair or eyes peering at me from the shadows. A familiar presence calmed my nerves. "Jake..." There was a few more snaps from the underbrush, and suddenly his heavy wolf was right in front of me. "I guess I should take this opportunity to apologize. And not just for my words..." I could swear he scoffed at that, "but also for my behavior lately. Mom warned me that these emotions and urges would be crazy, and I've never been the type to be timid, you know that..."
I paused. Inhaling, I dragged my suddenly stiff body to stand erect, and looked him in the eye. His hot breath steamed in the cold, snowflakes melting in the tufts if his fur. His demean our was calm, however, like he'd gotten his rage out before returning. "Truth is, Jake, I've kind of known that I was into you, in many facets of the type, long before I was back in Forks." I paused again, my eyes trained on his expressionless face, waiting for any sign of disbelief. He gave me a puzzled, wary look after I waited too long.
"I think, actually, that I've known I was yours for a very long time. It's just now all my dreams and ponderings are real now, tangible. I want to be so much more than just two ageless people in common feelings. I want to be in love with you Jake, mind, body, and soul. I want to be yours completely." His jaw was slack, and he stared at me for quite some time. Now was my chance.
"I love you."

I had to breathe, but no air was coming. It was caught, burning my throat. When she whispered those three, heavy words, it was like I had been dropped into a place with no gravity. Truthfully, I had returned to yell at her, but upon seeing her, I'd lost my nerve. She was so broken looking, fragile. Honestly, I don't think I could've managed a glare. Standing up, I wheeled my massive form away from her, hearing a choked sob, and launched myself into the woods. Though painful, I shifted faster than usual, and pulled my clothing on. Turning quickly, I lept from the trees again, eliciting a gasp from her lips.
Not caring that I was shirtless, or that both of her parents were watching from afar, I was sure, I continued my trek to her across the lawn, hauling her slender but solid physique up into my chest, my lips crashing into hers. She shuddered in another sob, and then released herself, sinking into me, her lips reciprocating my offers. All of those years away had only sealed our bond air tight, securing our love for a time when we were ready. Both of us.
In hindsight, I wasn't as mature and ready as I thought I had been for love. I needed Renesmee to show me that. I would never run from her again. Moaning softly against my lips, she writhed slightly, as if she was trying to absorb into me, getting as close as possible. But we were already one. I withdrew the animal lust clawing at the surface, and tossed him a bone, promising a chance to have his way in the future. Right now, it was my truest form of love that needed to show it's face. Fingering the bracelet I'd given her all those years ago, I laughed aloud. Confused, she looked at me, trying to catch her breath. Her eyebrows were knit right, and she awaited my explanation.
"A promise I made to you. That one day you would be mine in all ways, and that I would be yours."
She blinked, raising her wrist higher to examine the weathered leather bracelet I'd crafted. "A promise?"
I nodded solemnly, and laughed. "It's a little worn though. I think it's time to switch it out for something a little more sturdy." She gasped, and I swore I heard a low hiss. Edward would get used to the idea of having me around more sooner or later. Mustering all of the courage and bull headed defiance and daring my bloodline had gifted me, I inhaled, said a silent prayer, and lowered myself to a bended knee.
"Renesmee, would you do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Black?"
