Here we go again! I hope you enjoy. Please rate and review.
Red turned to see Touko walking on the snow covered ground. She wore a large purple coat, which may have been a size too big for her petite and curvy frame, and her ears were covered with ear muffs. Her gloved hands were in fists while her arms were crossed to keep in warmth. Despite the bitter cold, she had a big, white smile on her face.
"Hey, Red!" she said cheerfully while tugging her winter coat closer. The man nodded while Pikachu's Pokéball wiggled before the electric mouse popped out.
"PIKA!" he cried happily. The young woman laughed while the other trainer's palms became sweaty.
It's all good. Go with the plan, go with the plan.
"Hi, Sweetie. Here are some Pecha berries; your favorite!" Touko said before reaching into her bag and handing a handful to the electric type.
"Chu Pi!" he yelled as thanks before happily stuffing his face. There weren't many Pecha berries on Mt. Silver. They were just so yummy! Red looked down and smiled at his Pokémon's simple joy.
"What was that you wanted to show me, Red?" Said man looked up to meet her gaze. He nodded and took out Charizard's Pokéball and released the fire starter unto the snow. Charizard roared and his orange, red, and blue skin stuck out from the white snow. Red returned Pikachu to his Pokéball and climbed on his back. He extended his pale hand to the young woman, telling her to get on. She raised an eyebrow curiously and took it. She climbed on the tall fire type's back and wrapped her arms around the man's waist, warmth spreading on her cheeks. The fire type roared again before he spread his wings and flew into the grey clouds.
Though Touko had gotten used to the thin air on the mountain, it was even thinner in the skies. She found it difficult to breathe due to the high altitude and the freezing air was biting at any exposed skin. She tightened her hold around the other trainer to gain any extra body heat. She closed her eyes and hid her face in the back of Red's jacket to protect her skin. Her stomach felt as though it had formed knots and she could identify Red's scent; the scent of pine trees and of earth.
Though he enjoyed the contact, the young man signaled the dragon like Pokémon to go faster. Red smiled feeling Touko's grip tighten further. This might actually work…
After a few minutes, Charizard began to prepare to land and flew closer to the earth. Touko could feel the difference in the air; it was easier to breathe and the temperature was rising significantly. She could feel Charizard's feet land softly onto ground. Her grip softened before Red took her hands from him. She could feel through her gloves that they were so warm and gentle. The Unova champion opened her blue eyes but before she could see anything, Red covered them.
"No peaking," he said before chuckling.
Touko pouted like a child, crossing her arms. Her cheeks were pink. "What's the point of coming here if my eyes are gonna be closed?"
"You'll see in a second. I'll help you get off if you promise to keep your eyes closed."
"Fine, I'll keep 'em closed. But I can get off by myself. I have a dragon, remember?" she said before taking his gloved hands off her eyes and hopped off with no trouble.
Of course. How could I forget? That Pokémon of hers was his biggest challenge yet. Even though he had defeated her in their first battle, he barely won due to her and Zekrom.
"Arceus, it's warm now. Where are we?" Touko asked, taking off her winter gear with her eyes still closed. Underneath her coat she wore jeans and a long sleeved, blue shirt. She wore all articles of clothing well.
"You're about to find out," Red said teasingly before he took her hand and slowly led her to an unknown place. Touko could feel sunshine on her face and something soft underneath her feet. Grass maybe? There was a sound that was distant but became closer as they walked on. Every once in a while Red could check to see if her eyes were still closed. They were, and her cheeks were especially pink he noticed.
Here we are. He smiled seeing that they made it to their destination. "Alright, on three, open."
Touko nodded. She was beginning to think up a thousand things in her mind that could be what she'd see. Her feet stepped in place one at a time. She didn't know whether to be nervous or excited. The muscles of her face wanted to smile yet purse her lips.
"One," the Kanto trainer said, seeing her fidget slightly. "Two." He squeezed her hand and grinned before finally, "Three."
Touko's eyes snapped open and her mouth opened. "Whoa…"
They stood on a small hill overlooking a clearing with fresh, light green grass that was rustling with the gentle spring breeze and was closed in by a stone wall. To the east was a large weeping willow whose leaves were a lively emerald color. West was a sparkling waterfall which filled into a large pond; giving off a mighty roar. The white foam, the sun, and the spray even made a rainbow.
Red smiled before he spoke again. "I found this place a few years ago when I first came here. It doesn't appear on any maps of Mt. Silver." Touko still looked in awe of the area. It was amazing to see this side of Mt. Silver; it was usually so cold and unforgiving but here it was warm and sunny. It was like Mother Nature was smiling down on the two. "You can only see the rainbow at around noon," Red mentioned before gripping her hand slightly. "It's kinda my secret place," he added looking her up and down before glancing at their intertwined hands.
Touko looked where his eyes were and flushed red, no pun intended. Her stomach formed knots again, and she could feel Red's warmth from his hand. And he just kept smiling! It didn't seem to be a bad thing but,
What was she supposed to do?
She coughed awkwardly but gripped his hand back. She put on a smile before saying, "Um, thanks?"
PFFFT! I have been putting this off for SO long. I had NO idea what to do with these two! Oh young love; so awkward. XD
