Chapter 6- The Apprehensive Count Down & Confrontations

Logan was dreading it, counting it down to the minute. Just an hour left. Just a short hour and he would be alone with him. The last thing Logan wanted was for the awkwardness to settle in again. Thankfully the day had progressed without much time for said awkwardness to make its self at home. For that very reason, Logan was happy his job consisted of calming screaming children, as well as escorting them to the bathroom for potty breaks. 59 minutes and 45 seconds. Logan wished that he could freeze the clock. Each little tick from the second-hand caused him to squirm more than the last.

He sighed turning his attention back to the children on the carpet, as they intently watched Kendall continue with his lesson.

"So it's simple. Just count the apples on this side of the tree, and then write the number here, how many apples are their class?"

"Five," the class answered in unison.

"Right you are." Kendall said excitedly. "Now let's count this side together. One-" And so the simple math lesson continued, as did the ticking of the clock. By the time Kendall had finished teaching the kids how to do their work sheets. Logan had only 45 minutes, and 7 seconds to prepare himself to face his greatest fear of the day, being alone with the teacher in front of him. He walked around the room helping the children as much as he could. Though it wasn't because it was his job. It was his apprehension getting the best of him. He couldn't sit still. He was now not just mentally squirming, but physically.

35 minutes, and 15 seconds. That was all the time he had left. He silently cursed the clock. It was all time's fault. He continued to walk around the room for the five minutes before lunch. And then when the time came for the bell, Logan was a nervous wreck. He now had exactly 30 minutes before he was alone with him. Once the children were situated at their tables he walked back to the break room. He sat at a table alone away from the rest of his co-workers.

"So did you hear about the new teacher." Kayla said

"Yeah I'm the assistant for that class." That was a co-worker Logan had never met. Maybe she was new.

"He is so freaking gorgeous."

"Too bad he's off the market" another co-worker cut in "He's getting married to a woman named Alexa"

Logan tuned out after that, he was bored of their meaningless gossip. He plugged in his head phones, and began to lose himself in his music. However even the sound of Muse couldn't stop him from watching the clock. He now had 20 minutes and 35 seconds before he'd have to face his dreaded destination, the classroom. He laid back in his chair and sighed. Who knew a clock could make him so crazy.

When the time came Logan rose from his chair, and threw his half eaten lunch away. He walked slowly down the hallways, and the normal two-minute walk was dragged out to five. When he reached the door voices floated from inside the classroom. One was all to familiar to Logan, and the other was new and unrecognized

"You did what!" The new voice said.

"That was James' reaction too."

"Why on earth would you do that. You've been practically wanking to this guy in your sleep."

"Why are you and James only focusing on the sexual feelings towards him. I don't just wanna grab his cute little ass, and fuck the life out him-"

"Whoa bro, too many details." Logan didn't think Kendall was giving too many details. In fact he'd rather enjoy it if Kendall followed through on that.

"I'm just saying it's more than sexual tension. There's emotional feelings that, well I haven't felt in a long time." Laughter arose from within the classroom.

"What's so funny" Kendall snapped.

"Sorry dude, you just, wow I haven't seen you this love struck over a guy since college." Kendall groaned

"I know, what's worse is I can't even have him."

"Why not, you said he worked here."

"Yeah, as my teacher's assistant, he's sixteen Carlos." So that was the new voices' name.

"Well that's not as bad as it could be." Carlos laughed "In two years he's perfectly legal. "So all you gotta do is wait two years. Then you can fuck wittle Logan's brains out."

"Carlos you should get going." Kendall snickered "Our breaks are almost over, and Logan will be here any sec-" Upon hearing his name he decided it be a good time to enter the room. He just hoped they couldn't tell he'd been ease dropping on their whole conversation.

"Oh sorry, I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He said politely. If he didn't want to be called on his bluff, he at least had to play a decent part. Walking in quietly could give away everything.

"Oh no Carlos was just leaving. Carlos this is Logan my assistant, Logan this is Carlos Pena the new sixth grade teacher."

"Hey Logan nice to meet you." Carlos nodded.

"Hi," Logan said shyly.

"Okay Carlos goodbye," Kendall pushed Carlos quickly out the door.

"How much of that did you hear?" He asked turning back to Logan.

"Enough," Logan replied. He set his lunch bag with the rest of his stuff in the cubby they had given him.

"How much is enough?"

"Kendall we're suppose to be preparing your afternoon lessons."

"There five years old. We're teaching them how to read is and count to 10. I'm sure it won't be too hard for us to wing it." Logan groaned.

"Why do you even care that I heard anything." he stated "Obviously you knew I was there so you know what came out of your mouth from the time of my arrival." Kendall sighed. Logan was right.

"I think we need to talk about this, just everything has been so awkward between us."

"Well thanks for stating the obvious."

"There's no reason to be sarcastic and snippy. The only reason I brought it up was because I knew you wouldn't" Upon hearing those words Logan stopped because well Kendall was right. Logan would've avoided this talk until the end of the world, or his life. Which ever came first.

"So then let's talk about it" Logan said in defeat.

"Okay where to start."

"I'm sorry I kissed you. I Was drunk and my feelings clouded over my brain." Logan's heart ached at the mention of the kiss, but he knew this had to be done.

"Well you're not the only one to blame. I didn't exactly physically deny the kiss." Kendall bit his lip, what he would give to relive that moment.

"True you did kiss me back." Logan replied smiling. Kendall rolled his eyes

"It's not my fault you're such a good kisser."

"Was that sarcastic."

"I really wish it was." Kendall gave Logan a flirt-y smile, and in turn Logan's cheeks flared red. It didn't go unnoticed by Kendall. In a swift movement he crossed the classroom, and ran his palm down Logan's cheek. "You always blush when I compliment you. Why is that?"

"We're suppose to be talking about that kiss, not my insecurities."

"Technically we're suppose to be planning a lesson."

"Smart ass" Logan smiled up at Kendall and met those beautiful green eyes. He bit his lip as if he was trying to contain himself. Kendall's hand ran down his cheek, and to his lips. There he used his thumb and pried Logan's lip away from his teeth. He pulled the teen closer to him. Before either could grasp what had happened Logan was pressed to the wall Kendall's lip glued to his own. They were wrapped in their own little world and never wanted to come out.

Logan wrapped his legs around the teacher's waist bringing them closer together. He gave a light moan in the teacher's mouth, and it made Kendall pull back.

"God keep moaning for me" he groaned. He began to place hot kisses down Logan's neck before he found a spot, and bit down. Kendall got his wish. Because when Kendall began to suck his head fell back against the wall, and he moaned loud. In response to the sound the young boy made, Kendall bucked his hips forward. Pressing the bulge in his pants against the other's

"Hey Kendall- oh well, well, well. Look what we have here." The couple jumped apart, and Kendall turned to see James in the doorway. A smirk was plastered on his face.

"What the fuck do you want James?"

"Well I came to get Logan. I'm temping today for the second grade teacher, and my aid just went home sick. I wouldn't need him if the class weren't so big." Kendall face palmed.

"Okay I'm coming Mr. Maslow." Kendall watched as Logan exited the room with James. He wished he would've missed the wink that James sent his way.

As the day came to an end Logan had to admit. He was slightly happy. Being out of Kendall's classroom had certainly made a difference in his mood. Though he did think about the make out session, more then he cared to admit. He would've thought that things would've been more awkward. However things were exactly opposite. Even when they were at garden actually seeing each other it wasn't what Logan expecting. Kendall had even made flirty remarks.

Logan walked out the building to find Kendall leaning on his car.

"Gosh Logan you take forever to get ready to go." He chuckled.

"What are you still doing here?" Logan asked confused.

"Don't you remember. I promised to give you a ride to and from work." Kendall rolled his eyes. "Whatever you got drunk off the other day must have messed with your memory." Logan playfully punched him as he opened the door to the passenger seat.

"I shouldn't be accepting a ride from him so easily." He said to himself silently. However he had to admit the air conditioner was for sure a plus, given it was 97 degrees today. He began to relax as they pulled out of the school parking lot.

"Don't fall asleep on me," Kendall laughed "It's only ten minutes to your house and we need to talk."

"We did a lot of talking in the classroom don't you think."

"I don't thinking making out with you is talking. My lips may be moving but no words are coming out." Logan blushed

"Well what do we need to talk about?"

"A lot of things. How about for starters this." Kendall said.

"What do you mean?"

"This, us, what are we." Logan bit his lip, he wasn't so sure.

"I dunno," he said shrugging. "Can we just like not focus on labels"

"For now I guess, I mean I haven't even bought you dinner yet."

"Are you offering." Logan really hope he hadn't sounded too desperate.

"Well maybe not for precisely dinner, but there's this amusement park opening on Friday. I was thinking maybe you'd like to go with me?" They had reached their destination. Logan smiled.

"I'd really like that."

"Then I'll pick you up at eight" Logan leaned over and placed a sweet kiss on his cheek.

"No way do I just get a cheek peck come here." Logan bit his lip but leaned forward. Kendall took the teens face in his hands and slammed their lips together. It was far from sweet. It was filled with heat, and dripped lust. Too soon Kendall pulled away. "See ya tomorrow Logie," he said and winked. Logan got out the car dizzy but watched as the green Honda drove away.
