CHAPTER 12: Renaissance
"Yang hey wake up come on." I pleaded with her. "I need some clothes."
I felt something hit the back of my head and drape itself over my shoulders. I pulled it off and looked at one of my shirts. I felt another thing hit my shoulder and fall over it and land on my thigh. I tilted my head and picked it up.
"There are your stupid clothes you idiot." I turned to see Ruby ready to throw my Lugz at me. I jumped up and covered my head. After a couple seconds I opened my eyes and looked at a blushing Ruby. I turned to look at Yang and Blake both staring at me wide eyed.
"What?" I looked down and saw that my gown had fallen to the floor leaving me standing there naked. I covered myself up with my new clothes and retreated back into the room. "Well that was embarrassing." I mumbled and started pulling my shorts on.
"What was what now?" I saw Weiss lean up and rub her eyes. She yawned and slid out of the bed.
"Oh nothing much I kinda just accidentally flashed the rest of your team." I half grinned, half grimaced. Weiss straightened up and walked towards the door. "Uh Weiss?" She ignored me and opened it.
"MINE!" Was all she said and then she slammed the door. I pointed at her and motioned up and down. Her eyes followed my movement and she looked down at her still nude body. "Icarrus! Why didn't you say anything?" She stomped over to the bed and pulled the covers over herself.
"I tried." The shirt caught on my elbow and covered my head. "Oh come on this shirt fit me like 2 days ago. Well I guess over a month now actually." I hung my head in defeat and then I felt the shirt being tugged over my face and my elbow being helped through it. Weiss smiled and placed a hand on my chest.
"Mine." She said softly and then she hurried over to the pile of clothes she had strewn about. I pulled my shorts on and started lacing up my shoes when she walked back over fully dressed.
"That was quick." I said stunned.
"Hurry up I would like to get something to eat before we head back to your room to shower." She walked out the door and left me there still lacing up my shoes. I kept fumbling with the laces as I want having trouble gripping stuff. After the fourth failed attempt I just tucked them inside. I stood up and clenched my fists.
'I guess that's what happens after not using them for so long and then overusing them.' I thought and nodded. "Oh man am I hungry, better hurry up before they leave me." I rushed out the door and saw only Ruby sitting there with a serious pout on her face. "Hey little red why the long face?" I teased her.
She looked up and scoffed then looked down at the ground. "Nothing." She dug her heel into the floor and twisted it.
"Ruby are you sure nothing's wrong?" I began growing concerned.
"OH AS IF YOU REALLY CARE! YOU LOVE WEISS SO MUCH, YOU DIDNT EVEN LEAVE ROOM FOR ME!" She shouted and shut herself up real quick. I looked at the tears forming in her eyes and she sprinted off.
I stood there dumbfounded. "HUH?" I looked around to try and find someone who could explain what just happened and my eyes found Yang propped up against one of the walls. "Uh Yang I require some assistance, could you tell me what just happened?"
She sighed heavily and pushed off of the wall. "Well as it turns out my little sister is in love with you. I didn't think she was really serious about it though." Yang palmed her forehead. "I guess I shoulda known, I mean she was always rather brutally honest whenever we talked about you."
I tried to wrap my head around what she was saying. "WAIT, back up a second you mean to tell me that Ruby loves me too?"
"I understand that you really only have a basic understanding of feminine emotion, I mean you have to after knowing us for all this time and hey you even fell in love with Weiss and other things but besides that had you noticed Ruby acting clingy or switching from happy and angry when she was with you before?" Yang sat on the bench and motioned for me to sit with her.
I thought back. "Uh yeah I guess but that's how Ruby always was with me though." I leaned my head against the wall. "Why didn't she just tell me?"
"Wow you ARE dense. A girl can't just come out and tell you that she loves you." She sighed.
"I told Weiss that I loved her. I mean I was afraid she would leave and I wouldn't have gotten the chance and I had to tease her a little before she told me she loved me." I half smiled remembering her voice when she said it.
"Well breakfast is going to be awkward for you three but I am starving. Hurry up Blake and Weiss went ahead to get us a table and me and Ruby were waiting for you." Yang pulled me up and we rushed out. After 5 minutes of fast walking my muscles were on fire.
"Yang stop I'm about to collapse. My body feels like I've been put through a whole bunch of tests all at once." I leaned up on one of the buildings.
"Oh come on you had all the energy in the world last night with Weiss so what happened?" She teased.
"Well that's definitely a factor of this but that's not the main reason. My muscles feel like they are remaking themselves." I felt my core tighten and pull and I grunted in pain.
"Hey you're not joking around are you? I think we should get you back to the hospital." Yang lifted my arm on her shoulder.
"I think I'll be fine just give me a minute." I pulled away from her and lifted my shirt to check. My muscles were all moving on their own. It looked like I was flexing but the way they were moving under my skin made them seem like waves. I closed my eyes as the pain stopped. "See all better." I lowered my shirt and looked at the fear in her eyes.
"Icarrus?" Yang slowly backed away.
"Yang what's wrong?" I stepped closer and she froze.
"They all disappeared." Stuttering she moved forward. "Completely vanished." She lifted my shirt and began feeling my skin.
"Uh Yang what do you mean they're gone?" I pushed her hands away only for her to replace them. "Hey stop and listen to me."
"JUST WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY BOYFRIEND YANG?!" I heard Weiss' voice but apparently Yang hadn't.
Weiss walked over and reached out to Yang only to have Yang's hand snatch hers.
"Shut up and feel." Yang said blankly rubbing Weiss' hand over my abs.
"Yeah muscles but-" Weiss stopped herself. "No scars."
