"Taking Back What's Mine"
Just a short Doccubus one shot set near the end of season 4 as Lauren comes into her own. Pick up lines courtesy of lyrics from the country song "Hey Girl" by Billy Currington.
Feeling a little stuck lately and thot a quickie might get the juices flowing. Not sure how I feel about it, but I hope you like it.

I sat in the back corner of the Dal sipping some white wine and enjoying the privacy that a crowded bar allowed. I had come here several times since Evony brought me under her protection. I was happy to be out of that dive pretending to be a waitress and back in my own skin. I chuckled to myself. That's so funny to me, my own skin. For so long now I really couldn't say whose skin I was wearing. I had changed names, laid low, fled across the world, hidden in the jungle, been a slave, a prisoner, a fugitive and now here I was. A thirty something doctor working in a world of unbelievable beings under my own terms, finally. All those years I didn't know who I was, or what I was capable of, so how could anyone else? It had been a long, hard journey of self-discovery, but I guess you could say I have come into my own. They constantly underestimated me, thought I was weak just because I was human. Well, all but one anyway.
The energy in the bar shifted. I knew exactly what that meant. Every eye in the room went right to her. Bo didn't see me. There was a time I thought she could feel me in a crowded room, but distance and things left unsaid had a tendency to change relationships. He was here with her again, Rainer, never letting her out of his sight for more than a minute. She said I broke her heart, that he was her destiny. She's been acting like she's under some kind of spell. Good thing I knew now, my power, who I was and what I wanted.
Look at them all there, every guy and girl fawning over the one thing they couldn't have. They might think they could have her, she might even think she could give herself to one of them, or Rainer, but I knew better and it was time to show them all the power I held.
I threw back the rest of my wine, smirking at the newest guy flirting with her at the bar. This Bo did love the attention more than the one I knew, but regardless of who we are now, the words she spoke at Taft's rings true for both of us- "I know you and I love you." It echoed through my mind as I stood and watched her from the back. Even if she didn't believe that everything I had done was for her, it didn't matter. I slowly made my way through the crowd, stalking her almost predatorily. Nothing mattered right now other than the fact that I was going to claim once and for all what was mine, what was given to me the day we first met.
I stopped a few feet behind her, laughing as she dispatched the latest suitor. Rainer didn't seem to pay much attention, maybe he didn't think there was really any competition, but his arrogance was my advantage. As usual, I knew more than the Fae. I slipped silently into the newly unoccupied space beside her. All eyes were on me now, I could feel them. To the crowd I was just the next one in line to be turned down. I knew better. I didn't speak, didn't look at her, just held up my glass for Trick to refill.
I dug down for my best low, sultry voice. Bo loved geek speak, but I also knew she loved after hours Lauren and cheese. Cheesy movies, cheesy jokes, cheesy lines, all things Fae know nothing about. "Hey girl. What's your name?"
She turned around with a furrowed brow, probably questioning if the voice she heard was really mine delivering a line like that. I turned to face her, a dead serious expression on my face. I met her eyes with mine.
"I've been lookin' at you."
"Have you now? You and everyone else in the room."
She flashed that sexy smirk that made my stomach flutter. She knew what it did to me, but I wasn't going to let her see the effect it had on me. I was the one with the power tonight. I shrugged indifferently, keeping my mind focused on something other than how breathtaking she looked tonight in her purple corset with her dark hair cascading down either side bringing your attention down to her very valuable assets.
"A girl like you comes around once in a while. Whatcha say about you and me gettin' away?"
Her smile widened until it reached her eyes. "Lauren, are you high? Did Kenzi get ahold of you?"
She laughed, but I just shook my head and closed the distance between us. Her breath caught when I stepped into her personal space, her expression fell to one of awe. My finger traced lightly over her collar bone making her shiver. I smiled at how easily I could tame a succubus, my succubus.
"You might think I'm crazy, but who could blame me. So hot, gotta give it a shot," I whispered, trailing my finger down between her breasts.
"Lauren, what are you doing?" She was barely audible.
I noticed her chest heaving slightly as her breaths increased. Her eyes darkened with desire, but held a hint of sadness. I understood why. All our mistakes and insecurities have taken a toll and made us question one another, but deep down, we both knew.
"I know you say you don't know me but, I can't leave here lonely knowin' I didn't even try to make you mine."
She looked down at my hand as I fiddled with the necklace around her neck. It was the one I had bought, but never got the chance to give her. Her eyes flashed blue, her hand coming up to cover mine.
"I've always been yours, Lauren." I felt her squeeze my hand gently.
I leaned in close, brushing my lips across hers, keeping my eyes open so I could watch her tremble beneath my touch. Her blue eyes fluttered closed. I breathed out, "I know and I'm yours Bo."
I slid my fingers up, tangling them in her hair and pressed my lips to hers. It only took a moment for Bo to melt into my embrace, her hands cupping my face as I pulled her in tighter. I didn't care who saw us, or where we were. This wasn't about ownership or claiming. This was about giving yourself freely to another so completely in a bond that no man or Fae could ever break. I deepened the kiss, my tongue pushing past her lips drew a moan from her. I could vaguely hear a man's voice saying something to Bo. Rather than acknowledging him, she took my hand and pulled it to her lips and kissed my palm.
Bo looked right into my soul with those warm chocolate orbs that I could lose myself in. I felt my insides melt under her loving gaze. There were tears forming in her eyes as she whispered, "Lauren, will you get me out of here, please?"
I smiled brighter than I ever had in my life and my heart raced as I brushed the stray tear from her cheek. "With pleasure."
I grabbed her hand and quickly pulled her behind me towards the door leaving Ranier and everyone else far behind. Bo was meant for many great things, things we couldn't even fathom right now, but she was so much more than an object of numerous prophecies. She was my light when I was dark. My strength when I had none. My rock when I needed one. No matter what may come, Bo was mine.

Yay or Nay? You know I love to hear from you
