Yes! Chapter seven is finally out! Yeah, yeah. I know. What in the freaking' world took me so long?! Two words. Writers. Block.
I am officially done. No way can I take anymore surprises. First, I'm kidnapped. Then I'm mutated. I'm 'saved'. They tell me that some horrible monsters called the Turtles mutated me for fun, but, wait, that's not true! The Turtles didn't mutate me and three other girls, someone else did. Oh, and by the way, they tried to save you while you plotted their death.
"Ah..." Lisa drags her sigh, not sure what to say or how to address this.
"Ouch. Well, that's embarrassing. We were so steamed after what the Foot told us-" Lisa nudges her. "What?" Liz asks, ever oblivious. I'm not saying she's stupid, she's actually pretty smart. She just has...issues.
"Let me get this straight. You guys tried to rescue us that night? As in you, you?" Cathy asks in an unbelieving tone.
"Pretty sure that's what we said." Raphael nods, glancing at his brothers. Cathy shakes her head.
"I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Liz. That is embarrassing." She moans.
"Why would that be?" Donatello asks, obviously the curious one of the group. And the suspicious one. Maybe it was because we showed up with April; he seems protective over her, almost like...wait a minute, are they possibly...a thing?
"Uh..." Cathy turns an odd shade of green and red mixed. She might be blushing."Well, you see, Raphael is it?" She asks in a too nice tone.
She's stalling. She doesn't want to tell them that she spent most of her time imagining new ways to kill them. Ha!
"No way! I am not Raphael! I'm Donatello. That's Raphael." Donatello says pointing towards the one of the shortest ones. Cathy stiffens.
"April..." she turns to the blushing red-head. "How in the world did you get me confused with him?"
"Excuse me? You did what?" The actual Raphael asks unbelievingly.
"You're a turtle, your bandana is red, you use sai, it was dark, you were crouching, and...and, well how could I not?" She rambles, counting off on her fingers. Geez, she needs to work in her excuses.
"You could start with the fact that I am - now - 5'6."
"Again, you were crouching!"
"I'm willing to bet that I fight different than he does." Cathy looks at Raphael. "He probably uses a lot of brute force. Doesn't really care how it looks, as long as it's effective. Picks fights when he's mad. Am I on the right track?" Everyone stares at her for a minute.
"Have we met?" Leonardo asks, a bit of caution folded into his voice. Cathy opens her mouth to respond, probably with something to make it seem like she read his personality by his physique, but I interrupt her.
"No, but I found a scrap of footage that showed Raphael using brute force to pick a fight when he was mad. One in which he wasn't fighting too prettily."
"Oh, come on, Mary! You had to tell them?" She complains.
"Scrap of footage? If you saw us on video, why did you think we were the...other guys?" Leonardo asks, confused.
"I didn't get a lot of footage. I think they went through it before I did and took out anything of you guys. One day they missed a piece. When I asked about it, they told me that you were another victim of the Turtles." I shake my head. "I didn't believe them. After that, I didn't really trust the Shredder. I thought you were one of the Turtles."
"Crazy ninja maniac wearing armor made of blades. How could you not trust him?" Raphael asked sarcastically. I ignore him.
"Wait, when I was at Foot HQ, you said that if you thought that the pictures on my phone were of the Turtles, you'd be angrier than you were." April reminds me.
"Yeah, I lied. There are ninjas all over the place, or at least there are when I'm around. Plus, I stink at acting. I couldn't have acted mad; I was the happiest I'd been in a while. I thought I had a chance at the Turtles, before I realized that I had no idea what they were like. If the Foot had lied about their appearance, then why wouldn't they lie about their nature?"
"Wait a minute, it's normal for ninjas to follow you around?" She asks.
"Yeah. Like when Cathy eve dropped on Karai."
"They don't happen to have a night shift, do they?" Leonardo asked, sounding more than a little worried.
Oh, geez. I didn't think about that. This could be bad.
"I hope not! If they do...well, we can kiss HQ goodbye!" Liz exclaimed.
"This may be a bad time, but, I think a Footbot just found us!" Michelangelo notices.
"Crud!"
"Aw, man!"
"I can't do this anymore..."
"So not going to happen!"
We take off chasing. Luckily, the robot seems to be rather slow. Huh, weird. They're made to be faster than people.
We catch up quickly, be-heading the walking surveillance camera.
"That wasn't so hard." Cathy shrugs.
"That was a decoy."
Double crud. When did Danny show up?
I look out further, and, well, there was a lot more than Danny.
"What the heck?! Do you do this to every deserter?!" I almost yell.
He has twenty brand-new Footbots with him, accompanied by ten more ninjas. And not just any ninjas. He's brought a good part of Shredders most elite team of ninja-samurais. Those guys alone are incredibly hard to beat, not counting the Footbots.
"Aw, man!" Liz whines louder than last time.
"I tried to warn you. I'm sorry it had to end this way." Danny looks at me sadly. I want to slap him upside the head so hard right now.
"End? I don't think so!" Cathy unsheathes her twin sai and we charge the mini army.
Samurai! Watch the Footbot! Mace incoming! Hey, watch the staff, Mary! You only have one, so don't go breaking it. Duck!
Slice!
Too late. Well, what are you going to fight with now genius?
After scolding myself, I face the bot that sliced my Bo in half with his Kama. The Kama that I can take...
You'd better figure out how to get real fast. He's swinging that thing like crazy!
Yeah, he is. Maybe I can catch it?
It'll be hard.
I'll do it.
I brace myself for the catch.
Ready, set, g - or not.
A dagger pierces the bot, and pushes it over.
"I had that one!" I complain.
"There are plenty more." Raphael replies. Grumbling, I grab the Kama from the downed robot.
"Fine."
Sorry for the über long wait and short chapter, I've been busy lately. It'll be better next time, I hope.
Speaking of next time, things are going to be a lot more interesting then, so keep reading! And I do intend to do a sequel to this story, which will probably be better than this one, so, again, keep reading! Thanks!
