Another chapter for you guys since I have been sick these last few days, meaning lots of time to work on this fic! :D

There's not much to say other than I hope you like this chapter, so enjoy!

(Sorry if there's a few slip-ups, I had a fever brain when I wrote this lol)

Time stood still. Was he still dreaming? Had he been imagining all of this only to wake up once more to find himself back in that boring, colorless reality? Rin couldn't gather his thoughts, his head filling with the sound of his own racing pulse as he stared straight into the deep blue eyes right in front of him. Those eyes that had him completely spellbound, freezing him in place and preventing him from moving a muscle. It was only when their lips parted that he realized that this wasn't a dream, it wasn't some strange fantasy he had made up in his sleep. No, this was real.

The silence hung in the air as the two of them stared at each other, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. At least not in Haruka's opinion. Maybe it was because he was used to not talking much, but the more he looked at Rin the more he felt sort of guilty. The other boy's face was slowly turning redder, soon matching those ruby eyes staring back at him. Suddenly the silence was lifted.

"W-What the fuck?! Why did you.." Rin was stumbling over his own words as he raised a hand to his lips with a shocked expression. Haruka shrugged in response, pissing the other teen more or less off. Why had he kissed him? Had he figured out how he felt towards him and was now making fun of him? What the hell was going on? The burgundy-haired teen was more confused than ever, but worse than that he was hopeful. Hopeful that the kiss had actually meant something, but the look on Haruka's face and the indifferent shrug told him otherwise. It hurt more than he would like to admit.

"I just wanted to try it out, I guess.." Rin almost jumped once the dark-haired teen spoke up out of nothing. His blue eyes were now staring straight out in the air in front of him as he shrugged once again, earning a strange glare from the redhead beside him.

"Why?" Rin simply asked in a slightly annoyed tone, but he couldn't bring himself to be mad at that idiot since half of the time he barely even knew what was going on around him - and furthermore.. Had Haruka ever been in love before? He probably didn't know what that meant either.

"..." He was hesitant to reply to the other's question, but eventually came around. "I don't know.. It just feels different being with you than with Makoto and the others, so I was wondering if.." Haruka's last words turned into more of a mumble as he shrugged for the third time in a row.

Rin had to sharpen his ears to make out what the other boy was saying, but once he managed to make sense out of it he let out a loud sigh. Well, at least he had gotten an answer to his own question. Haruka had never been in love before, so no wonder he didn't know what it was or how it felt.. But was he really that stupid?

"You know.. It doesn't work like that." Rin shook his head, as he got out of bed. He had to get away from his dark-haired rival, he wasn't sure he could take much more of this.

"What do you mean?" Haruka asked curiously, swinging his legs out over the edge of the bed.

"What do I mean? You can't just kiss someone to see if you.. Like them or not! It doesn't work that way!" He was starting to grow rather impatient with the boy sitting on his bed staring at him like he had absolute no idea what was being said, but nevertheless he continued. "You have to.. To spend time with the person, get to know them!" Hopefully that idiot understood at least that much. The silence that once again hung in the air told Rin that his words must have had some sort of impact and probably made Haruka realize that he had been wrong about his sudden intuition. That was until a familiar voice suddenly broke that reassuring silence.

"..Then.. I'm gonna get to know you."
