Finally get one of these Chapters done on a Friday for a change. Or well before the end of Saturday at least anyway ^^;
Well, I have been on a role lately so I thought I'd keep it up by finishing this Chapter off. Man, nothing's a better feeling than completing a list of things to get done ^^ Also in this Chapter, I'll try to speed things up a little, probably by a week or so since this story is taking much longer than I thought. I originally was just going to have this as a single chapter story...but I guess the ideas kept coming so I decided to make it into a more than one chapter story.
Anyways, I'll try to rush things a little without leaving a whole lot out, since if a lot of time goes past then sometimes readers need to know what happened during that time period. So I'll try to explain as I move things along :)
Well, enjoy the 13th Chapter of Forgetful Love! ^^

A few days passed, Sam was finally allowed to go home as the scientists concluded that ectoplasm wasn't as harmful as they thought it would be. They told Sam to alert them immediately if anything ghostly-like happened to her, but she knew that deep down, they were worrying about nothing, but Sam also feared that something may happen to her, so she had a slight doubt in hope that nothing bad would happen to her because of the ectoplasm.
Another worry that robbed her mind was that a decision had to be made about her life. If she wanted to give up her child, or give up her life for her child. But she didn't want to give up either. She knew that there must be a way to have both.
So, as she was driven home a few days since she had seen Danny, after he promised that he would help in any way that he could, she stared out the window in thought of her pregnancy, and how there were no signs of pregnancy yet, she began to think that maybe she could have a miscarriage. Sam secretly hoped so but didn't want the child to die, what she hoped for mostly that the child didn't even exist and the doctors were wrong.
The drive home was silent, it was nothing like when Danny was taken home, there was chatter when he was driven home, but with Sam and her parents...there was only silence. They were all thinking the same thing that they didn't need words to say it, their expression said it all.
When they finally reached home, Pamela turned off the ignition and sighed; she looked up at her husband and saw the content but slightly angered look on his face. She then turned to Sam who was sitting in the back seat against the window with her chin resting in the palm of her hand as she stared almost blankly out the window.
Pamela and Jeremy got out of the car and looked at Sam with worry but frustration.
"I think we should have given her more time..." Pamela whispered with hesitation.
"But she needs to make these decisions! You and I both agreed on this, and she has to decide within two days." Jeremy stated in a slightly harsh tone.
Pamela looked down in concern; she turned to her daughter who was slowly getting out of the vehicle with still only one arm that was fully functional. Sam closed the door on her way out and looked up to see her parents staring at her in concern. She knew what they were thinking, but gave them a confused look as she headed inside.
"I hope she can make a decision by then." Pamela wished in a whisper.
For the remainder of the day, Sam tried to contact Danny, but there was no answer. She wanted to hear his voice again. She knew as well as he did how much he was going through.
She rested on her bed and stared at the ceiling, she felt helpless; she couldn't make a decision by Saturday, which was only a couple of short days away. She began to cry to herself for the remainder of the night. Eventually she fell asleep shortly after midnight.
The next morning, her parents didn't wake her, she woke up late and realised that her parents didn't come in like they usually would. It confused her for a slight moment but then the thoughts that were giving her nightmares returned to her mind. She sat in her bed with her arm still bandaged; she remembered that her doctor said that she could take the bandage off in a week or so. She couldn't wait to use her other arm again, but one thing she could wait for was a decision by Saturday, and she had less than 48 hours to make a decision. She had to talk to Danny but he wasn't picking up. She hoped that since the day was still fresh that she would call him and hope for the best.
So, Sam dialled Danny's number, and all she heard was the ringing of Danny's phone, she was about to press the hang up button before the ringtone was cut off by a sudden noise.
"Hello?"
"Danny, is that you?" Sam asked, immediately ignoring the fact that the voice didn't sound like Danny's.
"Um, no Sam it's Jazz." Jazz answered sounding confused but saddened to find out that she had been trying to contact Danny for a long time.
"Oh..." Sam replied, losing her optimism on actually talking to Danny. "Hi Jazz...how is Danny?"
Jazz frowned in thought; she sighed and had to tell her how Danny had been behaving lately.
"He's...not really doing well, I heard what happened. Are you okay?" She asked with concern.
Sam was sick of people asking her that question, but since it was Jazz and that she hadn't talked to Jazz in a long time, she had to be nice to her as she had been slightly out of the whole situation.
"Well, I would be better if I didn't have to make a decision by Saturday..."
"I know, it's a really hard decision to make, especially that you've missed your final exams, and because of your age in general..." She explained feeling sympathetic towards Sam.
"I know..." Sam began to say as her emotions began to crumble again as she broke out in tears. "It's too hard! I wish I didn't have to make a decision!" She cried.
Jazz covered the speaker with her hand as she looked over at Danny who was sitting on his bed with his arms resting on his knees and his head almost buried between his legs as he heard Sam's cries through the phone.
"Danny, you need to talk to her. She needs you." Jazz told her brother sincerely.
"I know she needs me! It's just...really hard to make a decision about all this, especially if that kid is mine!" Danny shouted, beginning to feel the tears return to his eyes in stress and emotional imbalance.
Jazz sighed and closed her eyes, and knew that Danny wasn't going to talk to Sam, even though he really wanted to, he wanted to make a decision and set things straight on his own, because if the child was his, it was his complete and full responsibility. He didn't want to cause Sam anymore stress, but having him not talk to her was causing even more stress for Sam, and he didn't know it.
"Danny...please."
Sam could hear over the muffled tones that someone was with Jazz; she knew that it had to be Danny. She wiped her tears and pleaded to talk to him, Jazz could hear Sam's cries through the muffled speaker, and she knew she had to do something to make these two teens make a decision together.
"I can't! If it's my fault that she's in this mess, it's my responsibility to fix everything!" Danny stated harshly.
Jazz could see that Danny was being clueless yet again, and this angered her so much that she dropped the phone on the bed in front of him.
"Well leaving things to the last minute isn't doing anything! Danny, you need to stop being clueless about everything!" Jazz snapped, preparing to leave the room.
"It doesn't help that my mind is trying to make sense of all this, especially that I have amnesia!"
Tears returned to Sam's eyes as she heard Danny yelling at his sister in frustration and stress. She could tell that he was going through a very hard time just like she was. They both had deadlines...and no decision had been made, because logic was getting in the way of Danny's mind which prevented him from talking to Sam risking having her becoming more stressed.
"Sam has amnesia too Danny, she is trying to make sense of this just as much as you are! You two need to talk to each other if you want to make a decision!" Jazz yelled before slamming the door on Danny.
Jazz wouldn't believe how hard it was for Danny to make a decision about her girlfriend's life, and how he was always taking the entirety of the problems into his own hands.
"Danny..." Sam said almost faintly.
Danny uncovered his face as he looked down near the end of his bed to see his cell phone with Sam's saddened voice being heard through it. He slowly edged closer to his phone, he felt so reluctant to talk to Sam and stress her out further.
"I am just as stressed as you are, we need to work this out together, whether the baby is yours or not." Sam exclaimed in a quiet and calmer tone.
Danny covered his face one last time and took in a deep breath before slowly picking up the phone to reply to Sam.
"I'm sorry. I've just been so stressed and confused about all this. I felt the need to do it all on my own."
"Danny, it's my life you're trying to fix. I know how much you want to help me with everything, but stressing about it is just too extreme and it won't help us go anywhere." Sam explained.
"I know! But I just can't focus my mind because it is trying to make sense of all this!" He shouted as he looked up at the ceiling of his room.
There was a break in silence, something had to have been said but neither Sam or Danny could think of anything to say, especially Sam since Danny was the last one who spoke. Eventually, Sam replied with empathy saying that she was going through the exact same pain as he was.
"Danny...I'm trying really hard too. Just like Jazz said, I am just as stressed as you are."
"No you're not, you have no idea how stressed I am right now! I can tell how stressed you are, it's not as bad as me!" Danny cried, assuming that Sam's calm tone was how stressed she was about all this, but not realising that it was just her trying to remain calm about this.
"I know it sounds that way. But I haven't been sleeping well; I have constant nightmares...constant thoughts racing through my head. If I were to let all those thoughts come out, I would be just as stressed as you are." She explained, knowing that Danny's screams of frustration equalled the amount of frustration in her head.
Danny wiped the tears off his eyes on onto his hand, he held the phone firmly as he looked out the window, wishing that he was with Sam right then, but felt that it would just cause more stress for the both of them.
"I just wish I could be as calm as you are now." Danny wished, feeling like his emotions always controlled him.
Sam nodded. "I know..."
Danny got up from his bed and walked towards the window with his phone still firmly in his hand, deep down he knew that seeing her in person would help, but his emotions were burying his deep thoughts down even further which prevented him from leaving home to fly over and see her in person.
"Danny...please...come over so we can talk about this in person." Sam pleaded, wanting Danny by her side so they could think things through.
Danny sighed in frustration and guilt. "I..Can't...something's stopping me, I don't know what it is but I just can't see you right now."
"Nothing else is going to make this better for the both of us. Just please come see me. I need you just as much as you need me."
After a few more desperate pleads from Sam, Danny pulled out some of his hair in stress and fought his shallow thoughts that were preventing him from leaving the house, he was finally able to dwell deeper into his true and well meaningful thoughts.
"Okay Sam, I'll be there soon." He assured her.
Aww, geez Danny why do you have to be so dramatic? Well at least things are going to turn out alright, or will they..? Well, next Chapter will be up around this time next week so I'll see all you guys then. Hope you enjoyed this Chapter! ^^
