Well well well then, didn't expect another Chapter so soon did ya? I know I said I'd update this in the next four days but, well after doing that last Chapter I just had write more! That and I wanted to get at least 2 chapters done this winter break... ^^;

I'm still in a Cars mood, but I am still able to write more of this story. I just hope this story doesn't go on forever. I am trying to speed things up a bit without it seeming rushed. If it seems rushed just be sure to let me know so I can fix it ASAP. ;)

Anyways, on with Chapter 19 of Forgetful Love! Looks like you didn't have to wait long after all! XD

DP (C) Butch Hartman

Sam almost immediately dropped her phone onto the ground in pure shock and the feeling of heartbreak. An increase in tears made her vision blurry as her brain pieced together what Danny said and made it increase her saddened emotional state. She wanted to ask to make sure, but she heard Danny's voice so serious that he couldn't be joking. He sounded so sure of it that she just had to believe him.

She gave up what was hers and his. She couldn't believe it; Danny knew that from the silent response that he had just made her feel a thousand times worse. He buried his face in his other hands as he held the phone firmly close to his ear in the other. He could feel the tears coming, he was just glad no one was around to hear it.

"Sam, please say something...please." Danny begged with empathy and forgiveness.

All the thoughts came crashing at once in Sam's mind, she could still see nothing but a blur from her memories that seemed to be affected by her amnesia but it all started to make more sense, she remembered the sensation of Danny's bed feeling very familiar to her in a different way than it usually is to her. The visions were her memories, and although she couldn't see it, she knew it to be true.

Sam kept quiet, her tears continuing to roll down her face, nothing but silence came from Sam as Danny anxiously and impatiently waited for Sam's response, but there was nothing but the very faint sound of drops of water falling onto a solid object.

"Sam, please...!" He begged.

"I...I-" Sam stuttered under her tears and intense emotion.

Sam bit her lower lips before she broke into an uncontrollable sob. She felt heavier with guilt and regret that she gave up something she and Danny created together. And she had no idea why they would do such a thing together when they knew the consequences clearly.

"Why would we do such a thing together!?" That was all Sam could ask at that very moment. It was the one question that had to be answered.

"I don't know!" Danny cried, pulling his hair in an intense amount of stress. "I should know better than to do that with you!" he then realised what he said, and quickly added that it wasn't that he doesn't want to do that with her, it's because of their age, just to make sure that Sam didn't think otherwise.

"I know but...why would we? And without protection!?" Sam cried. "I just had a part of us removed...forever..."

The sound of Sam's voice sounded all too sad for Danny to not lose it. It was then that he screamed and started to punch the wall which instead turned into him blasting at the wall with his ecto-rays. He then realised that something good, or perhaps the only thing that came out good in the end.

"The only thing I find good about this is that my ghost powers wouldn't have hurt you from the inside." He stated, calmly sitting back down and looking at his clock to see that it was starting to get late, but this didn't bother him.

Sam gasped, in a state of sudden realisation. Green substance in her blood. When she first heard that from her doctor, she had no idea what it meant. But now she knew what it really was. It meant that the child had affected her bloodstream more than one way.

She had further proof that the child was Danny's, because it was part ghost just like he was. The green substance in her blood must have indicated that from the very start.

"Danny, that child was yours!"

"I know it was, and please don't remind me! I feel guilty enough as it is!" He cried, almost at the point of throwing his phone in guilt and regret.

Sam shook her head. "No, I know it's yours because the day I found out I had gotten told that there was a green substance in my blood along with the confirmation that I was pregnant." She began to explain, still sounding upset but not as bad as before.

Danny raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What? Green substance?" He asked, before remembering when he saw the blood tests being analysed. He gasped in sudden shock and realisation that she was the one who had the green substance in her blood and not himself.

"That green substance must have been ectoplasm from the baby!" Sam stated as more tears returned and her tone of voice began to rise further.

He immediately dropped his phone in pure shock; Sam was the one who had ectoplasm in her blood and not Danny. This still didn't answer why Danny didn't get any ectoplasm from his blood test.

"The baby was a halfa, just like you are!"

"That explains those blood tests! But, there's one thing I still don't understand...why didn't ectoplasm show up in my blood test but it showed up on yours?"

"I don't know, maybe because you're half ghost?" Sam asked sarcastically but with a tone of seriousness.

Danny thought for a moment, he just wished he wasn't so clueless but then he came up with two possibilities as to why ectoplasm did not show up on his blood tests. One: the ectoplasm is only present in his ghost form. Two: the ectoplasm turned intangible when a sample was being taken.

"I think that might've been why..."

Knowing that they were trailing off topic, Sam kept the main topic alive by crying some more and talking more about what she lost.

"I just...can't-how do you know anyway?" She asked, stuttering as she figured out what to say next.

"Tucker told me, he said that you called him the day after." Danny explained, keeping his tone serious to ensure that he was most indeed telling the truth.

Just then, Sam had a flash back in her mind.

"Um, Danny will be late because he has to take me to the mall."

"I thought you weren't into shopping Sam?"

"I don't. We're going there because I need to get the morning after pill."

"Oh no...Now I remember! I called him to tell him that you were going to be late!" Sam stated, with widened eyes in shock and sudden realisation.

Danny was glad but also surprised that Sam remembered something before he did. He began to wonder why all he was seeing was a blur; however when Tucker told him those things he did hear the sound of a crash in his mind accompanied by a few screams. But for some reason, his memory wasn't cooperating with him. He wished he could remember details like Sam could.

"Exactly! Wait, do you remember anything else?"

"Um...um..."

Sam thought for a moment, she tried to link that scene she remembered to any other recent thoughts but unfortunately no matter how many times she repeated that same scene in her head, there was nothing else she could remember.

"That's the only thing I can remember..."

"Oh." Danny said, sounding disappointed.

Their amnesia was not making much progress, but Sam's was now making a little more progression than Danny was. Unfortunately thanks to Danny's clueless mind, he was unable to remember as much as Sam could. This made him wonder how much longer until he and Sam remember everything that happened, or if they ever will remember everything.

"Well, at least you're able to remember something." Danny stated with a small smile to cheer her up a little.

Sam nodded with her eyes half closed as she was still saddened by what Danny had told her a few moments ago. "Yeah, I guess... But still, I just..." she trailed off again, feeling more tears return to her eyes "How could you! And how could I!?"

Danny grunted in regret and guilt as soon as she said those words. "I don't know, Sam! I honestly don't remember why I would do that to you! We're not even old enough to drink yet, so that must have not been the problem! I just don't know why, okay!?" He snapped.

"Hey! This is jointly my responsibility too! I had to make a decision, and for some reason I didn't care less when we did it together! I don't know why either!"

This was beginning to turn into an argument about whose fault it was more, but they both knew that they were equally responsible for what happened. It was Danny's fault for gently pushing it into this direction, but it was Sam's fault to forget about protection as she knew Danny all too well to remember something like that in the heat of the moment.

Sam hung up the phone before things could get any worse; both she and Danny felt so regretful and guilty for what they did to each other. And especially how Danny felt because of what he had done to Sam, he felt relieved that she wouldn't have to deal with his problem but he was also upset for the fact that the unborn now dead baby was his and she had given up on it.

But there was one question that was on their minds; why did they do it?

This question stirred the two teen's dreams for the rest of the night.

The next day was a school day. Unfortunately it was the final week of school until summer arrived and school would be officially over for Danny, Sam and Tucker. But for these three teens it was not set in stone as they had all missed several days of school and some of which contained the final exams.

Danny had heard the sound of his alarm at half past six; he moaned and turned to see that it was time to get up. He had a reckless night of sleep but he was glad that he had at least more than an hour of sleep to get him through the day, at least he hoped so.

The last thing he wanted to do was go to school and face Sam in front of everyone else. After what they talked about yesterday it would be difficult for either one of them to even say one word to each other.

Sam thought the same as well; as she got dressed she started to think that instead of Danny being the glue that sticks the three of them together it would be Tucker. She knew that it was just an argument, and they were still a couple even after all that has happened. She was just worried whether her emotions would come pouring out as soon as she sees Danny, and potentially what could've been inside her body at that very moment which wasn't anymore.

She stood in front of the mirror. She remembered that small moment she had the night before the abortion. She imagined herself as a wonderful mother, standing in front of the mirror with a large belly carrying her unborn child inside.

Tucker was the first to arrive at Casper High; he hoped that Danny and Sam would show up. But he wasn't 100% sure since he told Danny what really happened on that day, and the most crucial fact that Danny was the father. As he walked down the corridors to try and find the pair, the school bell rang, indicating that it was time to go to class. They were late again, Tucker sighed with doubt that they were coming in to school and went to his first class of the day.

It was less than fifteen minutes later that Sam and Danny had arrived; unfortunately they had arrived at their lockers almost at the same time, which made them feel extremely uncomfortable. It made Sam hide behind her hair and her locker door as she proceeded to grab her things for her first class.

Danny wanted to say something to her, and they were alone at this very moment since class had already begun, but before Danny could even look at her she was rushing to her lesson. Danny closed his locker door and punched it in regret. He wished he had just talked to her then, and now he would have to face his teacher who knows of his long absence from class.

As Sam walked away, she could feel the tears returning. She knew that Danny felt worried about her; she could tell as she took one last look back and saw the saddened expression on his face before he walked away. Sam wiped her eyes with her dark purple sleeves and proceeded to class. She knew that she would have to think of everything later, now was the time to think about school and her future.

But she couldn't help it, during class as the teacher discussed on and on that their future was just around the corner, it made Sam think about the future that could've been. The child wouldn't have interfered with her schooling any way but it would have an impact on things after it was born. She wondered all the possibilities if she kept the child, or if the abortion wasn't an actual success. This made her detach off and not listen to a word the teacher was saying.

Danny was almost the same, but he got caught in the act.

"Mr Fenton, could you please listen? This information is vital to your future!" The teacher demanded with a ruler in hand, almost threatening to smack Danny with it.

"Oh, right. I'm sorry." Danny replied, sitting up straight and now listening and focusing his attention towards the teacher.

When recess break had arrived, both Danny and Sam had to stay behind in their classes as their teachers had a long discussion as to what was going on since they both had missed several days of school. Unfortunately for Danny, he was issued with a week's detention because he never gave the school an explanation or proof as to why he was absent from school, even though Tucker had told his teacher previously. So Danny had to stay an extra two weeks at school for a week's detention and then another week for the final exams.

Sam on the other hand, only had to stay an extra week back not for detention, but to do her final exams. Her parents had provided all her teachers with proof and a reason as to why she was away from school for so many days, so she did not receive a week's detention like Danny did. She was also given additional support from her teacher since she had broken her right arm and always wrote with her right hand.

Meanwhile, Tucker was outside leaning against the wall of the school near the back door waiting for Danny and Sam to show up. He had doubts that they would but he still had slim hope that they would. He gave himself a time limit and when that time limit was up he would go see his geek friends instead.

But luckily, Sam had shown up, mere minutes before Danny did. But before Danny arrived, Tucker hugged Sam in support and rejoice to see that she was back at school and okay, even though she had evidence of the accident on her right arm.

"Sam, it's so good to see you!"

Sam pushed Tucker aside, reminding him that she didn't like being hugged. Tucker shrugged and gave a guilty expression before Sam's tears began to water. Tucker quickly realised why Sam was crying.

"Dammit, I'm doing it again!" She cried as she wiped her eyes with her sleeve.

It was at that moment that Danny had arrived. He turned to see an upset Sam with Tucker; he could see the expression on Tucker's face that was full of sympathy and worry.

So Danny, with much hesitation began to walk over. As he did, he took in deep breaths as he prepared to confront his girlfriend and hopefully settle down all this mess once and for all.

Damn, I'm dragging out this situation aren't I? Well, hopefully in the next Chapter or so I can fix it up, from the sounds of it in that last sentence I think I will but who knows? I do tend to drag things out...*guilty laugh* ^^;

So, expect the next Chapter within the next two weeks, hopefully. I will have school coming back for another term but hopefully I can squeeze at least one of these in before two weeks have passed. Until Chapter 20, I'll see you then! ^^ Hope you enjoyed 2 Chapters in one day! :D
