Whoohoo Long weekend is here at last! I haven't had a long weekend in quite a while; hopefully I can use it to my advantage! Maybe I could do 2 Chapters instead of one over the next 5 days? What do you think? Well, you'll just have to wait and see! ^^

But anyways, quite the cliffhanger I left in the last Chapter didn't I? Or something like that anyway... Bit of a shocker, huh? Though by reading your reviews I don't think it was. ^^ So what happens to the group now? And Sam in particular? Well hopefully I answer them for you in this Chapter! :D

Enjoy Chapter 23 of Forgetful Love! :)

DP (C) Butch Hartman

A drop of the pregnancy test was all that broke the silence; Sam stood there in awe for almost a full five minutes before she shook her head and flushed the toilet. Though almost fully convinced she was still pregnant, she decided to purchase more tests of different brands and from different stores just to be 100% sure.

All came back positive.

So, it was fully confirmed. Sam was indeed pregnant with Danny's child; she knew it to be true. Although she doesn't remember the scene she remembers the moments before the love making began. If only she could remember everything but she was definitely certain that she was indeed still pregnant.

Sam threw out the used tests and their packaging so that her parents would not find out, and if they did she knew exactly what to say to them, but that all depended on how many they would find. She went to her room, not saying a single thing and only sitting on the bed staring at the ground, as if her mind had gone completely dead from shock.

She knew that she and Danny would have struggles in their relationship, but she didn't expect them to be right under her nose and not be obvious to her sooner. She didn't know what to do, she didn't know whether to tell Danny or keep it to herself or hope that she'll wake up or all the pregnancy tests miraculously were all faulty.

For the rest of the day, she kept it to herself, she knew that if Danny visited her and she wasn't up to code he would immediately assume that something was wrong. She was lucky too, because Danny did indeed visit her that day and took her out for a flight around town, making sure that they were both invisible so they wouldn't be seen.

Throughout the flight, she was thinking about the baby and how it could turn out to be half ghost just like Danny was. It worried her a lot throughout the entire flight, but luckily Danny was too busy looking which direction to go to notice, however when he set her down he saw some slight nervousness in her expression.

"Sam, are you okay?" He asked, worryingly, approaching her.

"No, I'm fine. Just something I ate earlier...I didn't check if it had any meat in it whatsoever, it's been bothering me this whole time." She exclaimed, looking down shyly but determined to keep her vegetarianism alive.

Danny bought the lie, he sighed in relief as it was just her worrying about the food she ate earlier. He had grown more cautious to her since he hurt her that day; he wanted to make sure that she wouldn't suffer as much pain again. He knew it was meant to happen but he didn't want to hurt Sam. It robbed his mind too much, so he tried to let go of it and leave it in the past where it belonged, he was glad, yet saddened that Sam gave up the child to keep things the way they were.

Sam looked around and noticed that they were not back at her place or even Danny's for that matter. Sam grew worried, she knew that her parents could walk into her room at any moment and find her not there.

It smelt salty, the cool breeze moving swiftly across her face and through her raven black hair. She knew where she was. It felt really relaxing to be at the beach and right near sunset as well. Danny gently grabbed her hand with a friendly smile and walked her down the sand and near the edge of the water where they sat.

"Nice sunset isn't it?" Danny asked to Sam as he sat even closer to her, their bodies almost touching side by side.

Sam sighed with relaxation; it felt great not to worry about a single thing for just a single moment. She leaned in closer to Danny and rested her head on his shoulder. She was so glad to have such a supportive boyfriend, she couldn't think of any other man that could do the job better for her.

"Yeah...it sure is."

Danny knew that taking her to the beach would help relax her more after all the stress she's been dealing with, but yet something bothered him in the back of his mind. Was she really okay? He wondered.

After the sun had set and Danny and Sam had shared a brief but romantic intimacy with each other, Danny flew Sam back home planting a kiss on her lips as he floated next to her window before leaving. Sam gazed out the window for a short period of time before her brain smacked her back into reality.

"Why aren't you telling him!?" Her brain cursed.

She grunted and shook her head, she looked out the window one final time and this time saw Danny battling another bunch of ghosts. It made her delve more into the reality that this baby growing inside of her could potentially have ghost powers. And she had no idea if this would do anything to her. She couldn't research it, she had much assurance that this was the first time that this sort of thing has happened to anyone, and she worried whether the baby would actually be able to develop well with or possibly without ghost powers.

It frightened her and haunted her dreams that night, a frightening baby monster coming out of her, possibly coming out all ghost and turning its back on both Danny and Sam. Danny constantly crying and telling her that he was sorry he did this to her.

Sam woke up several times during the night, almost screaming in fear before realising that it was all a frightening dream. She looked at the time, it was 4am. She decided to stay up a little while longer to think more about how this baby would turn out and when she was going to tell Danny about this.

Less than a month later, it was Sam's 18th. She hadn't told anyone about her pregnancy nor had she told her parents that she was sorry and how she was meant to also be part of making a decision. However Sam was glad that she had a second chance at them, she just had to keep it a secret for a little while longer.

By this point Danny and Tucker were already 18, and had already celebrated their birthday with a few drinks at the bar. Sam said she wouldn't go not only because she wasn't 18 yet at the time but she felt uncomfortable being at a bar while she sat there and drank water while the boys drank whatever they wanted to.

But now, it was her turn. Unfortunately she couldn't drink a sip of alcohol, knowing the effects it could have on the baby growing inside of her. She still didn't want to tell anyone, fearing that her parents would make another abortion appointment, however Sam felt that wouldn't work because there was a strong possibility that the baby was a halfa.

She decided to tell her parents shortly after she turned 18, she knew that then the doctors would not force her and if her parents did she had every right to call the police and tell them off. But yet, she didn't know when to tell Danny about it, she still didn't know how to bring the news to him.

A small gathering at Sam's house underground where some of Sam's family were, as well as Danny and Tucker who were invited only by Sam due to her parents not wanting him around Sam anymore because of the possibility of him being the reason why Sam ended up in all the mess, but they were relieved that it was all over.

They all watched a movie together, then all bowled together, Danny getting the most strikes and beating his average by thirty points. Sam could tell that her parents were eyeing Danny suspiciously with every move he made, and every time he moved close to Sam or even touched her they interrupted them.

Sam loved that she was able to spend time with Danny and Tucker happily, forgetting about her worries for a moment, but Danny still had an aching worry at the back of his head about Sam. He didn't know why but he felt so worried about Sam, and Tucker on the other hand could see that things were turning back to normal, their version of normal which was a few awkward moments here and there along with many ghost fights and possible kidnappings but would all end well in the end.

After a few more games with Danny winning almost every time and Sam coming close to winning one game, it was time for cake. And unfortunately her parents had decided on the cake for her as she pleaded to let Danny and Tucker come to the party, so they took her cake decisions for her boyfriend and best friend.

It was a triple layer cake, with pink frosting around the edges along with a hot pink for the top coatings of the three layers and the rest was decorated with small purple flowers and green mint leaves, the overall frosting colour was a light blue.

Sam rolled her eyes, but was glad to see that they added a little bit of purple in there for her, and her cravings did tell her that it looked scrumptious and mouth watering. She wanted to eat it all but knew she couldn't otherwise she would be a mess and in big trouble.

So, after everyone said happy birthday to her in a formal matter and she sliced the first piece of cake. They all sat down and had something to eat. Sam felt relieved that no one had asked her to have her first sip of alcohol yet, but unfortunately as she thought of how relieved she was, she heard Danny grab everyone's attention.

"Attention everyone, um hello?" He called out as he waved his hands and stood out from his chair.

Everyone looked to Danny, Pamela and Jeremy were the first to look and have an annoying glare to him before he continued to talk.

"I would just like to say that it's been amazing watching Sam growing up alongside me all these years and I would never expect for Sam to turn out so amazingly beautiful as she is today. I know she's had some rough times recently but we've made it through. And with that I would like to celebrate Sam's happiness with her first drink of alcohol."

No was Sam's immediate thoughts, she had to think of a way out of this, she didn't want to poison her child and she was nearly two months along so there was no chance she was giving up this baby now, and she was lucky that she still wasn't showing any growth from her stomach yet.

As Danny gave Sam a caring and loving smile, he passed Sam a glass of midori splice cocktail (A/N: I actually had this on my 18th, not bad but kind of bitter...). Sam bit her lower lip as she stared at the drink with extreme hesitance, she didn't want to let Danny down after that lovely but yet small speech he said about her.

She looked around; saw many eyes looking at her and her drink laid ice cool with water dripping down the sides of the glass, it did look mouth watering and just by looking at it she began to feel her throat dry from a lack of thirst. Sam knew she had to take a course of action without anyone knowing.

"Um, can I have a straw? I don't want to ruin my lipstick..." She asked in a slightly worried tone as she pointed towards the straw.

After a black coloured straw was set into the glass, she knew that this was her chance to fake it. So she wrapped her lips around the straw and sucked in a mouthful to make it look legitimate, many people cheered, and in a quick moment she spat the contents of her mouth back through the straw and opened her mouth wide to confirm that she had drunk the cocktail.

Danny smiled; glad to see Sam happy and being able to drink alcohol just like she could. Her parents looked worried and slightly disappointed in Sam that she drank alcohol but they shook it aside knowing that it was her eighteenth birthday but then the worries of Sam now being eighteen and being able to do what she wanted clouded their minds.

So for the remainder of the party she didn't drink the rest of the drink, she told the others that it tasted too bitter to her and that she would take some time to get used to it, and because secretly she didn't want anything to hurt the baby.

Somehow, she could feel a connection to it, much like a mother bonding over her unborn child. She knew now that she really wanted the baby, she didn't want to lose it but at the same time she feared if her pregnancy was going to be a normal ride like any other expecting mother, Danny's powers became a terrible worry for her.

A few days later, Sam knew she had to tell her parents, however she was lucky that her symptoms weren't as bad as they were a month ago. Before she told them, she requested that she and her parents sit at the table because she had something important to say to her.

Pamela and Jeremy had no idea what she wanted to talk to them about, the things on their worried minds ranged from a lot of alcohol drinking, going out late with Danny to do certain things, and even planning to run away from them.

Sam sat down at the end of the table while her parents sat either side of the long dinner table. Sam looked down in nervousness and hesitation; she knew she had to apologize first before getting down to what could potentially rock the house in deep anger and arguments.

"So, what is this you want to talk about? Is it something serious?" Pamela was the first to speak, with her hands neatly folded on top of each other on the table.

Sam slouched in her seat and began to sink as she felt almost too reluctant to say anything; she was beginning to think that this whole idea was a big mistake. But she sat straight back up and took in a deep breath of air to calm herself down before she began to talk.

"I just want to say that...I'm sorry."

Pamela and Jeremy looked at each other in surprise and confusion, it was the first time in a long time that she had apologised to them, but what worried them was why she had apologised to them.

"For what, dear?" Pamela asked.

"For not making me repeat the same mistakes you did. You didn't want my child to be something that is nothing like me..." She explained, looking down as she felt her eyes water.

"That is exactly true, Samantha. I don't want that to happen to you." Pamela said in a caring tone, placing her hand over Sam's.

"I know this may come to an insult to you but we just don't want you to live with a child that turns out to be something you never expected." Jeremy stated.

Sam knew what she was going to say next would make her true emotions show, bring full force, giving full honesty to how she felt about the abortion and the decision to get rid of the baby.

"But...it could've turned out to be a number of things, didn't you take that into consideration!?" Sam cried, as she dug her nails into the table, making Pamela removed her hand from her daughter's. "Why didn't you let me choose!? I was the mother of the child!"

"You were too young to make a decision, and it was our responsibility to take care of you." Jeremy stated firmly, giving a slightly angered expression.

Sam looked down and wiped her nose with her sleeve, her expression quickly changed from sadness and hurt to determination and anger.

"Well, guess what. I'm 18 now so I can make my own choices!" She shouted, starting to get up from the table but her parents began to talk with her more as to how this wouldn't change anything.

"What's that got to do with us not giving you a decision before?" Jeremy asked, slightly confused.

"You know that we are your parents and love you very much, you are still living under our roof and therefore you can't make any serious decisions about your life!"

Sam screamed, this didn't sound like her parents at all; they were being cruel to her. She remembered when they wanted her to make a decision on her future, now they were saying that she couldn't make a decision at all.

"Pamela! She still has some of her own decisions to make!" Jeremy snapped, seeing that Pamela was taking this too seriously.

Sam got out from her seat and walked away, not saying a word. Until Pamela said one last thing that gave Sam the ultimate decision to tell her parents about her pregnancy.

"She is our daughter, and her decisions depend on us agreeing or disagreeing! We want her to have a future that makes both us and her happy!" She exclaimed to her husband, gesturing towards Sam.

Sam turned her head as she stopped walking up the stairs. "Well, guess what mum; I'm still pregnant and you're both staying out of my decisions!" She snapped before running up the stairs and slamming her door, beginning to cry again.

Pamela and Jeremy's immediate response was pure shock, they both raced to Sam's door, demanding that she open it so they could have a confrontation about this. But Sam cursed at them every time they shouted her name.

"Get out of my life! This is my child and not yours! I am keeping it whether you like it or not!" She announced, sounding determined and annoyed at her parents. "So leave me alone!"

After many hours of constant demand to open the door, her parents gave up for the night and went to bed discussing how it could be that she was still pregnant. They didn't have proper confirmation about whether Sam was still pregnant or not but her words sounded true.

"But we're just trying to do what's best for her." Pamela pleaded, looking at the ceiling as she lay in bed next to her husband.

"I know, but if we can't do this then she really is on her own."

It gave them a horrible sleep, Sam slept horribly too. She still feared that her unborn child might hurt her throughout her pregnancy as well as when she was to give birth.

Phew, another Chapter done and dusted. So, I hope I didn't make Sam's parents sound too harsh in that one; they're just being protective of her and want her to make the right decisions. Also, if you're confused with the age limit of alcohol consumption being 18, that's because it's 18 where I live so I'm making it that.

So, not sure when the next chapter will be but who knows? Maybe I'll upload the next one in the next few days! ^^ So, see you then! :D
