I really need to wrap up this story, because I'm starting to pay more attention to my Cars story. And for those of you that don't know, I've posted the first chapter of it already but plan to do that one on a weekly basis. Hopefully I can get this one done in the next week or so. I just feel that this story has been trailing for a really long time; it has been for nearly 11 months so I really should wrap this story up, not saying that I'll be rushing things.

The good news is that I have officially finished high school (aside from 2 weeks left in my IT course) so I have 2-3 months of free time to myself until I start my Graphic Design Illustration course in February. Not sure about time scheduling then but for the time being, let's just hope I can get this story done within a week or so.

So, not much left to go with this one anyway, I've already figured out how it's going to end and I'm sure you'll love it ^^ Probably this chapter and 2 more than that should be it, depending on how much I write in this Chapter.

Anyways, enjoy Chapter 28 of Forgetful Love! :)

DP (C) Butch Hartman

It was time for another check up, Danny and Sam arrived at the hospital early as to avoid the morning traffic. During the trip there made their memories flash back at them, remembering the day it all took place. This made the trip more silent than usual, but the silence was hushed when Sam got out of the car and lost her balance due to her shifting weight.

"Whoa, you okay?" Danny asked, quickly rushing to her side by going through the car, not caring if anyone was looking.

Sam coughed a little as she felt Danny's warm hands put her back on her feet perfectly balanced, she looked over to him and had realised that he had used his ghost powers in public.

"Danny, you know you shouldn't use your powers in public. You could get seen." She exclaimed, looking at their surroundings and seeing a few people walking around, not taking notice of the situation.

"I know but if you're in danger I need to be by your side when that happens." He assured her with a smile, held her tightly with one arm around her.

Typical Fenton, she thought, she knew Danny would be overprotective of her even over the smallest mess up. It made her wonder that their children may be overprotective as well, but then came the thoughts of ghost powers in their genes. She knew it to be true, but had exhibited no signs of it to be true other than ectoplasm in her blood. She worried how ghost DNA would help or worsen the development of their two unborn children.

In the meantime, Danny was thinking to himself what genders would their children would be. In his spare time apart from work at the electrical store he had been researching a lot about pregnancy and had read that Sam was at the stage that they could find out the genders of their children. It made him feel excited yet conflicted, he wasn't sure whether he should find out of the genders or not, he didn't even know if Sam wanted to find out.

After waiting in the waiting room for about ten minutes, Sam's doctor came out and welcomed them into her room. Sam laid on the bed next to the ultrasound monitor while Danny sat in his usual spot next to the doctor's desk.

The doctor did her usual routine by asking Sam questions of how she had been feeling and explaining to her what the twins were at in their growth development as well as taking her blood pressure before finally doing another ultrasound.

As she applied the gel to Sam's now visible pregnant stomach, she looked up at Sam and Danny with a small smile. "Now would you two like to know the gender of your children today? You're just over 17 weeks pregnant; a child's sex can be detected on an ultrasound now."

Danny bit his lower lip, Sam did too as they looked over at each other. The worried look on Sam's face made Danny shift his chair closer to the bed, small whispers of indecisiveness were heard as they argued over whether they should find out now or wait.

"I don't know...I mean would be better if we knew. That way we'd know what kind of stuff to buy them." Danny suggested in a whisper with a shrug.

"I know, and I did say that this would be exciting to find out but, I've read that sometimes the doctor cannot fully tell the gender and can be wrong once the child pops out."

A few more whispers were heard while the doctor turned on the monitor and put on rubber gloves while waiting for their response.

"No, we won't." Sam answered, as she saw her doctor reach for the probe.

The doctor nodded in reply, understanding that sometimes expecting parents didn't want to know the gender of their child just yet. So, without any word of reply she gently touched the probe against Sam's growing belly and began to further rub in the blue gel to create a picture on the monitor to her left.

Danny and Sam looked over, trying to figure out where the heads were, before they could figure it out for themselves the doctor had pointed out where their heads were and both parents could hear the sounds of two tiny heartbeats almost in sync of one another.

It was amazing, every time Danny and Sam would come in this is what made them think back to that day and feel more and more amazed by what they had created together. It was a beautiful and speechless moment that would always get them.

"Wow...still unbelievable what two amazing people can create together." Danny stated, feeling awestruck and almost speechless staring at the monitor.

Sam sighed as she admired what she saw on the monitor. "I know, only two people that love each other can make something as precious as this."

After a few more minutes of the ultrasound, the doctor cleaned the probe and placed it back in its hanger while reaching for wipes to wipe Sam's stomach with. It was during this process that they had finally but unexpectedly heard what they thought the doctor wouldn't talk about.

"Your parents must be very proud of the both of you." She said with a happy sigh as she finished cleaning up the gel from Sam's stomach.

An uncomfortable feeling raced through Danny and Sam's bodies. They were both very unsure of whether their parents were 100% okay with all this happening right in front of them. They all needed to sit down and talk with each other about all this before Sam was due. Danny knew that Sam wanted her parents to be there when they see their first grandchildren.

"Well...we're actually having some complications with them at the moment, but I think we'll have them sorted out before Sam's due." Danny explained, feeling hesitant about talking about his and her parents.

"Oh." The doctor replied, seeming a little shocked by hearing this. "Well, hopefully all goes well for both of your families." She assured them with a smile.

Around an hour later, the couple were at Danny's house in the living room, having a comfortable chat with Jazz while Jack and Maddie were working downstairs in the lab.

"So, how's house hunting?" Jazz asked, overlapping her leg over the other with a greeting smile.

Danny and Sam sat close to each other, with sides touching and Danny's arm wrapped around Sam while one of Sam's hands rested gently on top of her now visible pregnant stomach.

"Well, we have been looking but we're not sure where in town is a good place to raise the kids. We're not even sure if there's a good one storey house around here." Danny explained, reaching out for his drink on the coffee table.

Jazz had already known of the twins, and grew very excited since that day, knowing that she would be an aunt to two children. It made her think of how she would start a family someday soon.

"I would consider a three bedroom; it would be more affordable for the both of you to pay equal rent." She suggested, hoping her advice would help. "By the way Danny, how's that job holding up?"

Danny shrugged, taking his arm off of Sam's shoulder to give hand gestures about his job at the electrical store.

"That's not a bad idea with the house, but with my job I'd say apart from Technus coming in like once a week I'd say it was good. I'm trying all that I can to get more out of it so I can get them to bump up my salary. But they're telling me that I'd have to work full time in order for that to happen." He explained, not wanting to do full time work just yet.

Jazz smiled, knowing why Danny didn't want to work full time. "I understand, but I'm sure Sam doesn't mind helping out?" She suggested, gesturing to Sam.

"That's what I keep on telling him. I know I'm doing most of the work right now by carrying twins inside of me but I can really help get things moving if Danny would just let me." She explained, leaning forward to Jazz more.

"But Sam, I want to help. I don't want you doing everything while I sit by and do nothing." He exclaimed, wanting to provide more evidence to the fact that he should be more helpful of Sam. "I want to help in every way I can. Hey, I'm even starting to organise how we're going to get to the hospital when Sam's due."

Jazz's eyes widened in shock, she was surprised to see how serious Danny was taking this, yet she shouldn't have been surprised as she knew Danny very well to be overprotective over those he cared about the most. She looked over at Sam, who looked annoyed at how Danny was always being overprotective of her, but then saw a creeping smile.

"Danny, you know you don't have to plan that far ahead. I'm not due for another 4 to 5 months." She assured him, rubbing his shoulder, hoping to make him feel less stressed and worried about her.

Danny sighed, knowing that he couldn't help but be overprotective of her all the time. It was how he was raised, it's in his genes. Being overprotective and stubborn were common traits among the Fenton family.

It wasn't long later that there was a ring of the doorbell and Jack and Maddie has quickly rushed to the door before Jazz could even get up. She was surprised as to why they were so eager to get to the front door before anyone else.

"Jack and Maddie Fenton." Pamela stated, giving an annoyed expression.

"Pamela and Jeremy Manson." Jack stated in reply, giving the same annoyed expression as he greeted them into the house with a gesture.

Sam got up, feeling worried as to why her parents were at the Fenton's place, and looking annoyed as if she had done something wrong.

"Mum, Dad? What are you doing here?" She asked, approaching them.

Jazz stood up firmly, wanting to ensure that this situation didn't end up in a disaster. She knew that she should have been there for Danny before when he had that talk with their parents; she wasn't going to back down now.

Sam looked down at Pamela's hand; she saw folded papers within them. At first glance she knew what they were and felt heavy guilt.

"Sorry, I know I should've told you..."

The Fenton's grew very confused as to why Sam's parents looked annoyed and Sam looked guilty as anything. Danny got up and walked to Sam's side, asking what was going on.

"I didn't tell them about our appointments." She answered, giving a saddened look.

"Your appointments?" Maddie and Jack asked in pure shock, now knowing that Danny and Sam had been to the doctor's behind their backs.

"You didn't tell them?" Jazz asked, wondering why they would keep it a secret but then with a gasp realised why.

Pamela clenched the forms tightly with an angered expression, but then to Sam's surprise her expression turned from angered to worry and neglect.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to the doctor's?" She asked, giving a saddened expression, Jeremy was as well.

"Danny, why didn't you tell us this?" Maddie asked, feeling left out also.

Danny and Sam both felt like they were in a very uncomfortable position. They wished they had told them sooner about their appointments, but grew worried as to them finding out the details about everything, some details in which could link to ghost powers, as Sam's blood tests were on her record and were always kept up to date after every visit.

"Well...we just thought that...you guys needed more time to get your heads around us becoming parents." Danny explained, a little unsure of what explanation he should give to them.

Pamela and Jeremy turned to Sam, expecting the same reply from her. Sam looked down in hesitance, seeing in her expression that was exactly what she was going to say also.

"Were you going to say that too?" Jeremy asked, giving a look of being broken hearted.

Sam nodded in silence, looking away from her parents. Meanwhile, Jazz found that this was her time to level everything that was going on.

"Now look everyone, parents and their children always have trust issues with each other we need to face the fact of that." She explained, standing in between the couple and the parents. "This surely has a more in depth explanation but cannot be explained right now." She added with a wink towards Danny and Sam. "So how about we just accept why they didn't say anything up until now and be happy about all this?"

There was no response, just everyone looking down while Danny and Sam looked worryingly at their parents. Then, it was Pamela that broke the silence as she began to unfold the paper in her hands.

"I think I know the rest of the reason." She began to say as she walked over towards Jack and Maddie, showing them what was written on the paper.

"Twins!?" They both cried.

Jazz, Sam and Danny grew wide eyed and worried, they knew that them knowing how many children Sam was having was going to be too much for them to take in, they were already trying to accept the fact that Danny had slept with Sam and was going to be a father.

Pamela looked down at Sam's stomach; there was enough of a visible bump to prove that fact. She turned towards Sam, giving a firm look to her, making Sam's heart beat incredibly fast and making her tremble.

"Danny...how did you...?" Jack began to say in words of shock.

Jeremy sighed, as to explain why Sam was carrying twins. "It's our side of the family. Usually it skips a generation."

"Is this why? Were you worried that we wouldn't be able to take this in?" Pamela asked, having a change of feelings to betrayal. "Well, are you happy now of how this has turned out? All four of us finding out on the same day?"

"Everyone, calm down." Jazz called out, looking directly at everyone. "There is a logical explanation behind all this. Twins can come to a shock but...why not sooner?" Jazz said, looking over to Danny and Sam with concern and worry.

"We were just worried how you guys would take it." Danny replied, feeling guilty as he looked down at the ground.

Jazz shook her head, knowing that the parents' responses to this news could have been improved if they had told them in a way that wouldn't be so forced. However, deep down Jazz understood why. It could complicate things and most of all have a greater effect on Sam's body with the possibility of both the children having ghost powers.

"Well, do you see now? This could have been avoided if you just told them sooner instead of making the situation more forced."

"We know..."

"It's a little ironic how you had given us the lecture about being more happy and open to this." Maddie exclaimed, crossing her arms and leaning a little to one side.

"Exactly, Samantha, it was you who told us to care more about you and be more open towards this pregnancy. Why shut us out so soon?"

Jazz hummed in thought, trying to think of an excuse that won't lead to Danny's ghost powers. By Danny's expression she could tell that the real reason was because of his ghost powers but she had to come up with a logical solution to this situation.

"You know how I see this? I see this as a test for how dedicated you are to your child's expecting parenthood. I see this as a true test as to see how dedicated you all are to accepting this pregnancy and what will happen in the future."

All the parents agreed that Jazz was right, even Danny and Sam agreed further more that it was a reason as to why they didn't tell them, but it was one of the two main reasons why they didn't tell them. The other reason was to be kept a secret until they felt that the time was right to tell them about Danny being half ghost.

So after that day, Danny and Sam were more open about everything that was going on. And at the next appointment for Sam at 5 months, Sam's parents were to come and visit. With respect for Sam's family, Danny decided not to go and instead waited until her 6 month appointment to be with his parents and Sam at the appointment.

Trying to move this along as quickly as I can without missing any major plot points. Hopefully I haven't missed any so far, if I have please let me know so I can fix them or explain in a further chapter. So, at the end of this Chapter, Sam is 5 months. Hopefully within the next 2 Chapters Sam can give birth and all with be explained more once that time comes.

I plan to write an epilogue to this story as well, just to give you guys insight as to what happens after the ending ^^ And hopefully I can post the next Chapter by the end of this week. ;)
