WARNING! DO NOT READ THIS! IT CONTAINS FRIGHTFUL STUFF IN IT! IF YOU ARE BELOW THE AGE OF 3 THEN DO NOT READ THIS! I REPEAT: DO NOT READ THIS! XD
I had never said discontinue for this. I could say 'on hold', but I will eventually return fully to this story. I just haven't gotten much of a chance with my other stories (Well, actually one story.) and school. Also this year I've joined a lot of clubs and since my teachers this year just LOVE giving out homework… So when I've got a chance to work on this, I will. My point is that I've been ignoring all you readers way too much.
The votes are in! Dani's Hogwarts house will be... *trumpets, drums* Nope, I'll give some more time for you guys/gals to vote in my poll on my profile; I don't need this until the next chapter. Thanks to anyone who already voted! ^^
Me: I'm going to spice up this chapter with some adventure and mystery! *puts on chef hat, shifts through many spice bottles, and pours in oregano* Okay, I know that I haven't been updating very much…
Dani: She totally dumped me! And for so long; I can't believe it! *angry growl*
Me: Look, I loved your plot bunny! But the plot bunny army thought you weren't interesting enough!
Dani: They thought WHAT?! *angrily runs off with pitchfork in ghost mode towards plot bunny army*
Me: *sigh* I don't own anything. Maybe the plot bunny. But not DP or HP.
HUH. YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO READ THIS AFTER SEEING THAT WARNING? OKAY, FINE. JUST SCROLL DOWN. BUT THIS WILL BE A LITTLE UNEXPECTED. HONESTLY, I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS THINKING. XD
The green fire was everywhere. My eyes snapped shut. I couldn't breathe, and my insides were clunking together. This wasn't what traveling by floo powder felt like, was it?
Suddenly something grabbed me around the navel and yanked me in another direction. I was pushed down to the hard floor and something tightened around my arms. I gasped for breath. I couldn't see anything since I was afraid that once I opened my eyes things would go wrong. My lips trembled as I attempted words. "W-what's happening?" There was a slight echo to my voice.
"Such a young filth; far too young to be on their own…" a harsh voice whispered in my ear. I tried to push them off my arms, but I was paralyzed. I was a goner.
"W-who's there?" My voice was suddenly raspy and dry. I felt like I hadn't had water for days – even though I just had a glass at breakfast.
"And you think that I would tell you? Ha!" the voice called out. There was a shrill ringing in my ears. I fought back a scream – instead I growled.
"What do you want? Why are you doing this?" I called out into the dark. I heard a hot breathing on my right ear.
"I am merely serving my master; you will suffice as interesting enough…"
I was confused – I was pretty sure that floo powder wasn't supposed to involve any of this. Who was that? And what did they mean by 'my master'? I was 'interesting enough'?!
Most likely they're working for Voldemort. Typical. It's always me these kinds of weird things happen to. And after years of being the oddball in the bunch – the leftover in the streets, I still haven't been able to stop being the target.
"Or maybe I'm just very hungry tonight." The death eater growled.
I felt a sharp tug on my waist and I was immediately whisked away again to wherever-the-heck-the-villain-was-headed, screaming all the way. I was pulled in all different directions; up, down, right, left… and I even went upside down a couple times! If I threw up, it would happen directly over top of this death eater's head! At least I had something to look forward to.
"Ow! Watch it!" I bumped my head on something hard. The unknown voice sneered in response.
"I was told to bring her here; he never said she needed to be alive…" he whispered, licking his lips. I was officially freaked out even more. I would have preferred Skulker over this.
I wished that it were light, so I could see where we were. The enemy's hands were loosening as we got closer to our destination – maybe he was just excited that we were (possibly) close – I have no idea why else. But I wasn't going to let this opportunity go to waste.
I knew that if I went intangible to escape, I would basically be setting myself up. The more valuable and interesting the prize, the more death eaters would be hunting me down. Taking a deep breath, I focused on slipping through the hands – that were strangely hairy. However, I had no more time to think; just do. The hands were probably the loosest that the stranger would allow.
I stretched my right leg behind the death eater's back and kicked. I jumped at the loud howl in my ears, accidently squeezing myself out of their wiry grip. Just before I bolted, something was thrashing at my leg, and I felt a stinging pain travel up. Like a huge, sharp needle sinking into my skin. I screamed.
As I ran along the long dark passage, I could literally feel the shock wave spreading from the puncture in my leg to the rest of my body. I knew there was blood. I knew that it hurt like heck. But in order to keep death eaters off my tail, I needed to keep going. So I clamped my mouth on top of my balled fist to keep quiet.
"YOU'LL REGRET THAT!" the male tone screeched behind me.
I felt like I had just jogged a marathon. If not for my ghost half, I would most likely be sprawled on the hard floor a ways back. But soon enough, I was out of energy, and slid down against the brick wall – not caring that everything was covered in mud. I took a huge breath to relax myself – what was that called again? Yoga? I couldn't remember; I was too exhausted.
Someone was out to get me. A death eater was out to get me. What am I going to do? I have no way to get to the Burrow; I don't even know what this place is! And Clockwork doesn't seem to want to drop by this time… All hope was lost! I would probably die in this dump – without ever getting to go to Hogwarts. All I got to do in life was be a cloned half-ghost, a witch, a superhero, a friend, a homeless slob, and a universe-traveler. Which when I think about, is actually kind of cool. But still; all of that was pointless now.
There was a jab at my stomach, making me jump. I looked down my shirt to see that stupid time medallion that was lodged above my belly-button. I felt my blood run cold as the two familiar rings spread over me. Some black strands of my hair landed uncomfortably in my eyes, making me blow at my forehead. But I guess that only made everything worse. I curled up into a ball; the headache was terrible. The room started to spin, and I was ready to hurl. Thankfully I didn't.
I propped my leg out in front of me on the ground, and pulled my jean leg up. My eyes widened. There was a massive red swelling, and it still looked fresh since there was an actual bandage wrapped around it. The bandage looked almost like it was glitching – like a video game. I'm talking similar to Vanellope in that Wreck-It-Ralph movie. What the heck?! Was that Clockwork? Although I had a strange feeling that it was me. Anyway, the bandages unraveled themselves and disappeared into dust. Now the wound stung even more, making my eyes uncontrollably water.
Hold it together… do not cry and give yourself away to any possible threats… I gulped a deep breath and slapped my hands onto my leg, wincing as I made the makeshift ectoplasm bandage. It started glitching again. Slowly I propped myself upright against the wall and dragged my leg along with my hobbling. Hopefully I would reach some light soon. I had to.
After five feet I was done walking; I felt so weak. Maybe that whole time medallion thing used up all my energy – again, it was very stupid of Clockwork to push this thing inside me. I didn't know anything of how to work it… I didn't really know anything of how to work anything in this dimension. I wish I knew what Clocky had done to make me this way. I scoffed; if someone had told me back in Amity Park that in time I would be almost to the point of collapsing in what seemed like an underground tunnel, with a time medallion lodged in my stomach, I would have laughed in their face for who-knows-how-long.
Clockwork had probably warned me that this would happen. I might have not been paying attention. Damn myself. This was all that stupid medallion's fault.
Think Danielle. Think. What would Danny do if he were in this situation? That thought stopped me in my tracks. I had wanted to live my own life – and here I was, thinking about Danny. How much did I really look up to him? Practically all the time, since I was almost exactly the same as him. I really needed to stop doing that.
Think again, Danielle. What would you do in this situation? Think! I was racking my brain for the answer, but I came up with nothing. It certainly didn't help though that my makeshift bandage had fallen off my leg. I leaned against the wall, breathing heavily. The pain never truly stopped until I closed my eyes. So I fell into a deep slumber, falling off the wall onto the ground. Outside this tunnel it was probably dark out anyway.
But I had a terrible feeling that I was going unconscious way too much lately.
Ginny's POV
"Have you seen Dani?" Fred asked as he entered the kitchen, strangely looking guilty.
"Nope. Although George has been waiting in front of the fireplace for like fifteen minutes." I worriedly responded; what was with my brother lately?
"That's the problem. He refuses to do ANYTHING until he sees that Dani is safe. If you ask me, he's got an obsession." He angrily scoffed, the guilt wiped away. "That Dani is getting in the way of our pranking time."
I looked up from setting the table and laughed. "Pranking time? Don't you mean all the time?" He rolled his eyes at that one. Even though I didn't approve of his jealous opinion, he did make a good point. Dani was getting in the way of everything; especially George. I didn't know what to make of those two oddballs.
Hermione entered the kitchen with a smile on her face and a large book tucked under her arm. She approached the table and sat down. She flipped the book open until about the middle-end of the thickness.
"What are you reading?" I asked. She smiled wider.
"Well, I've been researching more about elderwood and blackthorn; the two main sections of Dani's wand."
"And?"
"And it turns out Ollivander wasn't lying. According to legend, elderwood comes from Death and blackthorn comes from a time spirit. There's even a whole page on blackthorn."
"Let me see that!" George came sliding into a chair; finally departing with the fireplace. He read through each line, carefully using his finger as a guide. Near the bottom his expression hardened, and he fled out of the room. We all heard him shout "Nocturne Alley!" and jump into the crackling flames.
I glanced to where George left off. It said:
"Blackthorn is most commonly misused wand ingredient. It is used for enhancing black or dark magic. When combined with elderwood, it is the most powerful spell known to science. Do not give to the enemy side in any circumstances."
Well, now we knew where Dani was. Probably at the mercy of death eaters… I had to laugh out loud for that. There was no way; she's too strong in holding her ground. Right?
But it doesn't matter. I am not letting George go on some fun adventure without me. I hurried to follow him.
Narissa's POV
Something felt… off.
Only last week I felt it. I could describe it as (and this is going to sound freaky) an invisible force drawing my blood with a sharp object. A blood quill maybe? And that was just the start of it all. Over the past few days, I've been having severe headaches; so often that I had to skip out on all recent death eater missions. No one, including myself, could understand it.
Lucius was getting worried – as well as my son, Draco. As much as they were trying to soothe my pain, and as much as they were looking for the cause of it all, they did not understand me. I felt like this all needed to occur. If there was a god up there, I sure hoped he knew what he was doing.
Most likely avenging all the mudbloods I harmed. I gulped, already regretting my decision to join the dark side.
I wouldn't be bringing any cookies to the next meeting.
Fred's POV
I wish everything would go back to the way it was before that Dani girl showed up. None of this would be happening right now if she had just stayed away. I was running down the streets of Nocturne Alley after my twin, younger sister, and friend. Today was NOT my day.
"Slow down!" I shouted, cupping the side of my mouth with one hand. Hermione turned her head, but didn't stop or slow. Aggravated, I just summoned my broomstick and flew after them, thinking back to my thoughts on Dani.
She certainly was a spunky girl, that's for sure. And she practically had my twin brother wrapped around her little finger. So with her going to Hogwarts with us, George would end up ignoring me even more to go spend time with his crush. Just peachy. As much as I hate to admit it, I was totally jealous of her.
Plus, George was way too protective of Dani. Like how didn't think to go running through one of the darkest magical streets in all of London with no order supervision at all just in case we run into any death eaters. Just saying. To be fair, he was madly in love with her – my observations. But to be frank, we have been gone for a while now, taking occasional breaks from running every fifteen minutes or so. (I am so regretting only remembering my broomstick now!)
What if we did run into death eaters? We could be killed on the spot; us three blood traitors! Just a flash of green and poof, we're gone forever! And I'm pretty sure that Harry's protection spell or whatever won't repeat for any of us.
Dani, if you're out there, and possibly captured by death eaters, stay calm. We, especially George, are coming.
Sorry guys for Narissa's thoughts of 'If there is a god up there…'. I'm not trying to offend anyone's religious beliefs.
Will George, Fred, Ginny, and Hermione ever find Dani? Will Narcissa discover what Clockwork is doing to her? Who was the mysterious figure at the beginning? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO DANI?!
Stay tuned; until next time on the muppet show! :D
Also I don't know when the next chapter will come; it may be a while. Just because I have to update with new chapters for my other stories and everything is just way too confusing. But hopefully I will get those done soon.
