Hello everyone! Long time no see. Sorry for not posting anything in a long time but to make up for it, I am release a bunch of chapters of my stories in the next month. To start off I'm releasing this chapter, the second chapter of my Nanatsu no Taizai/The Seven Deadly Sins story, and the first chapter of my new One Piece story, Multiverser Pirates. After that will be the next chapter of Kill La Verser. I hope you all go check them out.
Here we are. The Excalibur arc and with it, Matt joins the gang. If you are wondering who Matt is, he is my pal's cantstopmett's character. Wait and see what I have planned for this arc as it will lead to many changes to this version of DXD.

Chapter 7 Holy Sword Hunting
It has been a few days since the party and Rias and Matt are moving in. Matt has made a few marriage jokes much to my and Rias' dismay and to my parents joy of having a daughter-in-law.
Matt and I are in his room hiding our multiverser stuff.
"Have you gotten used to being a multiverser yet?" I ask as I finished hided a multidimensional door to the place we and our large multiversal family truly call home as Matt hid his weapons in a pocket dimension hidden in his dresser.
"Somewhat. How did you get used to being a grandfather?" Matt asked me as we finished up.
"It's something you just get used to, I guess. One thing I can tell you is that you just want to spoil them when they're little." I said with a big goofy smile.
"I have to give you that. What worlds have you visited recently?" Matt asked as we left his room.
"Freezing is the most recent one I finished. Stella is about ready to pop and I had a daughter with Rana, we named her Kazuha after my sister. I'm also currently in Infinite Stratos and Kill La Kill." I said as we headed for the living room.
"Shishi. I see you still like going to ecchi worlds." Matt said with a sly laugh.
"But ecchi worlds have the best stuff." I said with a smile as I punched Matt playfully in the shoulder.
"What about ecchi?" Asia asked as she left her room.
"Just boy talk, Asia." I said to get Asia way from the topic.
When we got to the living room we sat down to watch TV with Mom and Rias. I sat next to Rias and put an arm around her as Asia sat on my free side, with a small look of jealousy on her cute face. Matt sat in a free seat.
"Thanks for letting me stay here Mrs. Hyoudou." Matt said to Mom.
"I too am thankful for you letting me stay." Rias thanked.
"It is I who should be thanking you two. Ken was a loner until he met you two." Mom said with a smile.
Before anything else could be said my phone began to ring with a ringtone that sounded like an angelic quire.
"Sorry I need to take this." I said as I stood up and left the room.
"What is it Michael?" I said as I answered the phone.
"Sorry to bug you during your leave but I have a job for you that cannot wait." Michael said over the phone with distress in his voice.
"What is it?" I asked even though I could guest what it is.
"Three of the six Excaliburs were stolen from their respective churches by a fallen angel and we found out that they are in your town." Michael explained with worry in his voice.
"I see. One thing I know for sure is that Azazel has nothing to do with this as he has no interest in war anymore." I said with a sigh knowing what is to come.
"You always help Azazel, don't you?" Michael asked.
"He's a good friend like you and Gabriel and I always stand by my friends. Back to topic, this job is going to need a down payment." I said with a serious tone.
"I knew that was coming. Is there anything you want because I know you have enough money." Michael said with a laugh.
"I want all the files you have on the Holy Sword Project and I want them as soon as possible." I said with a determined voice.
"Why do you want those?" Michael asked with a worried tone in his voice.
"A friend of mine is a survivor and I want to give that person closer." I said with a sad tone.
"I see. I'll have the files taken to Yuki immediately then. I'll send a representative and some help so that the factions know that we intend to clean up our own mess." Michael said with a sigh.
"That's fine. I'll be bringing my apprentice and some help as well. Leave their payment to me."
"Ok I'll talk to you later." Michael said before hanging up.
I sighed before heading back to the living room.
"Matt, we need to go pick it up." I said to Matt to inform him that we need to get to work.
"Got it, but is it finished?" Matt asked me as he got up from the couch.
"Yeah, we just need to pick it up." I said as we headed for the door.
"Ken, where are you two going?" Rias asked as I opened the door.
"I need to pick something up and I need Matt's help. We'll be back later, I promise." I said as I gave Rias a kiss on the cheek before exiting out the door with Matt.
"So where did you hide my sacred gear? Because if it was on Olym-Pass, we would have just used one of our doors." Matt asked as we were heading for our destination.
"It's in my lab at Grigori HQ. I got stuck at making a new sacred gear, so I borrowed Azazel's notes." I explained as we entered the shopping district.
"Is that wise. What if someone broke in?" Matt asked with a worried look.
"It's fine. The room is in a separate dimension that only I can get into." I explained as we got to my hidden portal to Grigori HQ.
When we teleported into the base, we were greeted by a familiar face.
"Hello Ken-sama. What brings you and your friend here today?" Raynare asked as she walked up to us in a cute looking purple dress. Matt had a shocked face at seeing the fallen before us alive.
"I came to pick something up for Matt here. Raynare this is Matt, Matt this is Raynare." I said as I introduced the two to each other.
"Sorry Raynare but I need to talk to Bro privately for a bit. Can you wait here for a bit?" Matt said before dragging me off to a corner.
"I'll wait here then." Raynare said with a smile.
"Why is she alive? She was supposed to have died when you saved Asia." Matt whispered in anger so no one could hear us.
"She was used by Dread as a disposable calling card and by Kokabeil to get close to me fore payback and you know how I act towards people that are being used." I said with a stern voice.
"Yeah, sorry Bro. I over reacted there." Matt said with an apologetic tone in his voice.
"Besides if Dread hadn't shown up and I hadn't pissed Kokabeil off I would still have let her live." I said after a sigh.
"Why?" Matt asked with a confused look on his face.
"Underneath all that long gone hate for other races, she is still a kind soul because instead of outright killing me, she would have waited for after a great date so I would have had ended my life on a happy note instead of dying alone in an alley." I said with a serious tone.
"You really are a nice guy, Bro." Matt said as we headed back to Raynare.
"Raynare do you mind coming with us for a bit?" I asked the Fallen girl.
"Of course Ken-sama." Raynare said with a smile and glee in her voice.
"Then fallow me." I said as I headed for the elevators.
After a short elevator ride down and walking down a hallway to a metal door with my symbol on it.
"I've been passed this room before but I have never seen it open." Raynare said as she examined the door.
"That's because I'm the only one with a key sort of speak." I said as I put my hand on the door. After I removed my hand the door slide open.
"Why is that, Ken-sama?" Raynare asked as we entered the room.
"Because this is one of my private labs I have." I said as I turned on the lights to reveal a lab that is covered in dust filled with machines, a white door in the back, and a table in the center. On the table are two metal boxes, one has an M on it while the other has a Z on it.
"Why is this place so filthy?" Matt asked as he waved his hand to disperse the dust in the air.
"I haven't been down here sense I finished what's on the table." I said as I went to the table and grabbed the box with the M on it.
"Is it in the box?" Matt said event though the look on his face tells me he already knows.
"Yes it is. Now, Raynare!" I said to get Raynare attention away from the other box.
"Yes, Ken-sama." Raynare said as she jumped from being startled.
"Matt and I will be entering the room behind the white door. I need you to open it in one hour." I said as Matt and I headed for the door.
"Ah, the S.H.T.C. (Super Hyperbolic Time Chamber). It has been a while since we last used it." Matt said as he opened the door and white light shined from inside the room.
"Yes but can I ask why?" Raynare asked as she shielded her eyes from the light.
"Time moves faster inside that room, so I need someone to open the door from this side so that we do not lose track of time." I said as Matt and I headed inside.
"OK, Ken-sama. I'll open the door in an hour." Raynare said in understanding as the door closed.
Inside the S.H.T.C.
We walked out of a small temple filled with food and beds into an endless white space.
"Let's get to work." I said as I opened the box and remove an orange-yellow right handed gauntlet. It has a blue oval shaped gem and what looks like curved horns on the back of the clawed hand.
[It's time, huh.] Said an ancient deep voice from the gem as it flashed with each word said.
"Yes it is, Nicol Bolas." I said as I tossed the gauntlet to Matt.
"Wait, did you say Nicol Bolas?" Matt asked with a shocked look on his face as he caught the gauntlet.
[Yes it is I, the Forever Serpent and sole survivor of the Elder Dragon Wars, Nicol Bolas. My power will be in your hands from now on but let me warn you that the only reason I am here is at my master, Ken's, order and I will not hesitate to leave you if I deem you weak.] The voice said to identify itself as the greatest master mind of the Magic the Gathering multiverse.
"Got it." Matt said as he swallowed his spit in fear.
"Now put it on so I can bond it to you." I ordered Matt and he does what he it told. I grab Matt's covered hand and send a surge of energy through him and the sacred gear.
"Now to begin the yearlong training to get your balance breaker." I said with a mischievous smile.
"Crap." Matt said knowing what that smile really means.
Next Day, My Room
"Time to wake up. Time to…" said my alarm before I turned it off.
When I opened my eyes I found my head in Rias's breasts.
"Morning Ken." Rias said with a cute yawn.
"Morning, my Rias." I said as I got on top of her and gave her a passionate kiss.
"There's still time before school. Want to have a little fun?" Rias said in a sexy tone after I broke the kiss.
"You read my mind." I said with a smirk before a knock at the door stopped me from continuing.
"Ken-san, Buchou, it's time to get up." Asia said as she opened the door.
"I forgot about Asia." I said with a deadpan tone.
"I want to be with Ken-san too." Asia said before running into the room while taking her shirt off.
Homeroom
"Good morning everyone. I have an announcement to make. You all will be getting not just a new student today but a new homeroom/English teacher today as well. Now come in you two." The principle, an older looking gentleman in a blue business suit, said to my class.
'I have a bad feeling about this." I thought as a worried look formed on my face.
The door opens as Matt in his school uniform, which is the same as Issei's, and, to my surprise, Jeanne in more formal attire walked in. The girls were whispering about how cute Matt was and the boys were whistling at Jeanne like the bunch of sex crazed teens that they are.
"Hello. I am Matt Xross. I have come over seas to study here with you all. I hope we get along." Matt said as he bowed at the last part.
"Hello everyone. I am Jeanne Umbra. My sister Bayonetta and I came here to help an old friend of ours. Isn't that right, Ken?" Jeanne said with a wink at me. This caused all the other boys to give me death glares.
"Damn you Jeanne." I muttered to myself in anger.
It was during lunch that I found out Bayonetta is the new school nurse. Matt, Bayonetta, Jeanne, and I were in the nurse's office talking.
"I thought you two used the card I gave you to go back to Olym-Pass." I said in anger as I sat on one of the beds.
"Sorry Love but when we found out that Dread was here we couldn't leave you." Bayonetta said with a worried look on her face.
"I still don't know why Sephiroth, Retsu, and Chiffon left like that when the man you have been after for millennia is here." Jeanne said with a sigh.
"Sephiroth knows it is not time yet. Retsu does not want to fight anymore and Aunty has to look after Stella for me because Rana, Casandra, and the others are all thumbs when it comes to taking care of a pregnant woman." I explained with a sigh of my own.
"How did you two get jobs here?" I asked to change the subject.
"We were talking with that Grayfia woman and told her we wanted to stay with you. She got us a condo near here and jobs at the school." Bayonetta explained.
"Fine but if you are going to stay then you need to earn your keep. You two along with Matt will be helping me on my latest job here." I said with an annoyed tone.
"Fine with me." Bayonetta and Jeanne said in unison.
I then felt a sudden pain as my arms turned into dragon arms.
"Damn it." I said with pain in my voice.
"Let us take care of that." Bayonetta said as she took one of my arms.
"No Akeno needs to do it. This is probably because of the training in the S.H.T.C." I said as I pulled my arm away.
ORC clubroom, sometime later
Akeno, who is in nothing but a wet, almost see-through, bath robe, was draining the dragon energy from my right arm by sucking my fingers very erotically.
'Got. To. KEEP. FROM. GETTING. A! HARD! ON!' I mentally ordered myself as I only have a towel on right now.
[This is so hot!] Issei said within my head as he was enjoying the view. I had to agree with him as I continued to try and control my manhood.
"That should handle the dragon energy for now." Akeno said after releasing my finger with a popping sound.
"Thank you, Akeno." I said as my urges calmed down.
"Your fight with Riser. Your unwavering will and the unmatched power you showed that these scars and tattoos must be connected to. You were fighting knowing you would win and doing it for Rias and us." Akeno said as she pressed herself against me with a longing look in her eyes. "I wonder, is this love?" Akeno asked as she slowly closed the distance between our faces before the bell rang.
"I guess we will have to find out the answer another time." Akeno said as she got off of me and left the room.
[Close call.] Ddraig said as I let out a sigh.
"No kidding." I said as I saw my eyes were a deep crimson from my reflection in the grandfather clock in the room.
After school, ORC clubroom
The ORC along with Sona and Tsubaki are here for Matt's introduction.
"Hello everyone my name is Matt Xross. I hope we get along." Matt said as he introduced himself with a bow.
"He knows that everyone here is a devil." I said with a smile.
"I know a lot about you." Matt said as his body began to flash images from the anime.
"What was tha…?" Rias asked before a blue flash caused everyone except me and Matt to have lifeless looks.
"Matt, I told you to not do that." I said as I took off a pair of sunglasses and put away the Neuralyzer I had just used.
"Sorry bro. It just happens sometimes." Matt said in apologize as his body stopped flashing with images.
"Just be careful. They don't know yet." I said as I snapped my fingers. At the snap life returned to everyone.
"Can I ask how he knows?" Rias asked me, having no clue that her memories were erased.
"First and foremost he is my apprentice, so I have to tell him to guide him. Second he has a sacred gear himself. And last but not least he is one of my Pawn candidates." I explained to everyone.
"A sacred gear and a peerage candidate. Ufufu, this will be fun." Akeno said with her usual laugh.
"Can we see this sacred gear?" Sona asked as she adjusts her glasses.
"Of course, Sona." Matt said in glee as the orange-yellow gauntlet appeared on his right arm.
'Interesting.' I thought when I noticed Sona blushed a little when Matt said her name.
"This is the Emotion Driver, it has a dragon sealed in it like Bro's Twin Boosted Gear." Matt said as he held up his covered arm.
"What does it do?" Koneko asked as she munched on one of the sweets I gave her.
"It increases my power based on how strong my emotions are. After I make physical contact with a target, I can read the emotions of the target and feed off of them for 10 seconds with the announcement of DRIVE." Matt explained.
"Matt is the first know user of the Emotion Driver, as all the past hosts never awakened it. That is why you have never heard of it." I lied to them so they don't ask questions.
"I see. Then Matt, I welcome you to the Occult Research Club." Rias said as she stood from her seat.
"Sorry Rias but Matt is joining the Student Council." I said with a smile.
"To get Matt's paper work through faster, I made a deal with Ken-sama for Matt helping the Student Council while still doing his work as an apprentice." Sona explained to everyone.
"Sorry about that. But I better get to work." Matt said as he walked over to Sona and Tsubaki.
"Take care of him Sona. He has work he has to do for me soon." I said as Matt, Sona, and Tsubaki left the room as Bayonetta and Jeanne entered.
"What are you two doing here?" Rias asked the witches.
"We got jobs here. You are looking at the new club advisors for the ORC." Bayonetta said as she and Jeanne took a seat.
"I didn't find out until this morning when Jeanne became our home room teacher." I said in defense.
Next day, Hyoudou Residence
Since the old school building is getting cleaned today Rias decided to have the club meet at the house today in my and Rias's room. Matt got stuck helping Sona and Bayonetta and Jeanne got stuck in teacher meetings.
"This month's contract numbers are: Akeno, 11. Koneko, 10. Yuuto, 8. Asia, 3. And Ken, 15." Rias said as she read off the contract numbers.
"That's amazing. For someone new like you to have that many contracts so soon in remarkable." Akeno said with a smile.
"Customer satisfaction is my motto. Both with my mercenary work and my contracts." I said with a smile.
"Hello everyone I brought snacks." Mom said as she enters the room with some snacks on a tray. Underneath her arm are some books.
"Okaa-sama, what do you have underneath your arm?" Rias asked with some curiosity.
"I brought Ken's baby books." Mom said with a smile as she held up the books.
'Damn you multiverse!' I yelled in my head as tears fell from my face and I shook my fist in anger.
"Here's Ken when he was three." Mom said as she and the girls are staring at the book in her hands.
"Oh my, he's naked." Akeno said with a smile.
"… Ken's naked past." Koneko said with her usual tone but with a small smile on her face.
"Little Ken. Little Ken." Rias said with a smile as she couldn't take her eyes off the book.
"I know how you feel Buchou." Asia said in agreement.
"Okaa-sama, do you have a picture of Ken and Erza?" Rias asked Mom.
"Erza? Who's that?" Mom asked with a confused look on her face.
"She's an old flame I met during my travels Mom." I explained while giving Rias a look that says stop looking into it. She nodded in understanding knowing to stop.
"Why haven't you mention her to us? We would have loved to meet her." Mom asked with a curious tone.
"She died, Mom. Can we please drop the subject?" I said as a sad look formed on my face.
"I understand. If you need to talk I will listen." Mom said with a worried look on her face.
"Okaa-sama, what happened here?" Rias asked to distract Mom away from the subject.
"You have a great mom." Kiba said as he looked through one of the baby books.
"I'm very grateful that she and Dad raised me." I said with a small smile. I am always grateful to all the parents who I had replaced their children, with only a handful of exceptions. They gave those bodies life and I try to make it up to them for not meeting their real child by doing the best I can.
"Hey, Ken." Kiba asked as he pointed to a picture.
"That's me and my friend Irina. What about it?" I asked after looking at the picture of a child me and a boyish looking child.
"Do you remember this sword?" Kiba asked as he pointed to a sword in the back ground.
"Yeah, it's a holy sword if I remember correctly." I said as I tried to remember which one.
"I see." Kiba said as a look of anger formed on his face.
Later that night, client's location
I teleported to an apartment for my devil work today.
"Nice place you have here, Azazel." I said as I looked around the room.
"Figures you could tell in an instant." Azazel said with a laugh as he walked into the room in a robe with a good bottle of whisky in his hands.
"That and the fact Kokabeil stole some Excaliburs." I said as we sat down.
"How do you know?" Azazel asked as he poured us a couple of drinks.
"Michael called the other day for a job plus Kokabeil is the only one that would do something like this." I explained as I took a drink of the whisky.
"That's true. He never wanted the war to end like it did. He thinks if we had continued we would have won." Azazel said with a sigh into his drink.
"You're not the only one who has to deal with a pain in the ass that won't leave you alone." I said as I remembered the last time I saw Dread.
"Sorry to inform you but this Dread person is hiding the Abominations very well. I couldn't find anything." Azazel said before taking a drink.
"I'm sorry as well. Because of me this universe is being dragged into a war it doesn't deserve." I said as I downed my drink and poured another glass.
"What's with that talk? You sound like you are not from this world." Azazel said with a dry laugh.
"It's because I'm not. Azazel what I am about to show you stays between us for now." I said as I turned into my true form.
"What the fuck!" Azazel said as he jumped up in surprise.
"Sit down Azazel, it's still me. I'm just showing you what I truly look like." I said as I signaled for the man to sit down.
"What are you?" Azazel asked as he sat down.
"I'm a Multiverser and what I am about to tell you is my story…" I said as I told him my story. (A/N: This is where it goes into my Multiverser Origins: The Rogue. Please read that if you haven't yet.)
"I'm… I'm so sorry. For you to lose the first person you ever felt true love for along with your first born and the people you called family like that, I'm so sorry." Azazel said with a sad tone as he patted my shoulder.
"Don't forget my time as Reverse." I said with a dry tone.
"Has this Reverse persona ever came out since then?" Azazel asked as I turned back to my human form.
"Only a few times. My tattoos act as seals to keep him suppressed but he does come out when I lose myself in rage and I know with Dread here Reverse will come out a few times. Coupled with Juggernaut Drive means it's going to be all the easier for him to show up." I said as I looked at my Twin Boosted Gear as it formed.
"But like Vali you can control it can't you? I've seen you do it." Azazel asked as he passes me the rest of the bottle of whiskey.
"Yes and no. While I am in a calm state of mind I can control it but if I'm am lost in rage it's like any other Juggernaut Drive. Damn it! Dread has caught me at my weakest." I said as I downed the bottle.
[He may have caught you at your weakest but he also caught you at your strongest as well, Ken.] Ddraig says to cheer me up.
"Haha, you're right Ddraig." I said as the Twin Boosted Gear glowed for a moment.
"Holy shit!" Azazel said as he looked at the new gauntlets in front of him.
Later…
After I returned home, Rias got a call to handle a stray devil at an abandoned warehouse.
When we arrived, I saw that Kiba has a far off look on his face.
Rias sent Kiba, Koneko, and I in with me at point to get the stray outside so she could finish it.
"Why the hell are they always naked women!" I said when I saw the stray. She was a naked woman with spider traits.
[Double Boost!] Yelled the Twin Boosted Gear as I decided not to use Balance Breaker here.
I charged the stray as I made Nexus appear in my right hand. I tried to stab it but the stray jumped out of the way and towards Kiba.
"Kiba pay attention you idiot!" I yelled at the sulking swordsman.
"Fly… Away." Koneko said as she through a crate at the stray, which knocked it away from Kiba.
"I'm finishing this." I said as I fired an energy arrow from Nexus in bow mode through the stray's head, killing it.
SLAP!
"Did that wake you up?" Rias asked Kiba after slapping in.
"I've been awake, Bouchou. Awake to the reason I live." Kiba said before running off.
"Yuuto!" Rias said as she watches Kiba run off.
"Rias leave him alone for now. His past is coming to haunt him right now." I said as I look at what time it is before leaving.
"What do you mean?" Rias asked me before I left the work yard.
"The Holy Sword Project." I said just as I had left the area.
I was heading for the abandoned church to meet the help Michael promised. I used magic to change my clothes to Alucard's red trench coat and the like from Hellsing Ultimate. This is my formal wear and what I wear when I'm doing my mercenary business.
I met Bayonetta and Jeanne half way. They were both in their Umbra forms. When we arrived Matt was in his normal clothes waiting at the gate.
"Cereza, you and Jeanne wait out here while Matt and I talk with Irina and Xenovia. Showing up with more numbers will make them feel nervous." I said as the three nodded at my command.
While Bayonetta and Jeanne wait outside Matt and I entered the church. At the other end are two women in white hooded robes. One reacted by pointing her sword at me.
"Who are you?" She asked.
"Blood for blood…" I started.
"A soul for a soul." The other woman said in reply as she removed her hood to reveal Irina. Xenovia soon did the same.
"It's been a while Irina." I said as I removed the fedora and glasses.
"Ken is that you?" Irina asked as she had a look of surprise.
"Irina you know him?" Xenovia asked.
"Yes he is my childhood friend." Irina told her partner.
"And her first kiss." I said with a smile.
"Ken I told you never to tell anyone." Irina said with a blush on her face.
"Sorry couldn't resist." I said with a laugh.
"I can't believe you're the mercenary the church hired." Irina said as she look me up and down while Xenovia kept an eye on Matt.
"To be more accurate, Michael himself hired me. Oh, where are my manners. Irina this is Matt my apprentice, Matt this is the friend I told you about, Irina." I said as I put away the shades and hat.
"For one of the four Archangels to hire you directly means that this is serious and that you are powerful." Xenovia said as she stared at me.
"I'm Irina and this is Xenovia." Irina said in reply.
"Nice to meet you." Matt said as he held out his hand.
"Same." Irina said with a smile as she took his hand.
Xenovia just nodded at the two of us.
"With that out of the way. Can I have the paper work?" I asked Irina.
"Oh, right. Here it is." Irina said as she handed me a crimson envelope.
I grab the envelope from Irina and read through it.
"Ok here is how this is going to go down. Irina, you and Xenovia will be under my command along with Matt and the two outside. You will fallow my orders or I will send you back with the need of physical therapy, got it?" I said with a serious tone.
"Ken, you sounded a bit scary there." Irina said with a worried tone.
"Would you rather go back home in a wheel chair or a body bag?" I asked sternly.
Irina and Xenovia remained silent from my words.
"Now let's get to work." I said in a friendly tone to break the tension.
"Before we get started we must meet the devils that run this area." Xenovia informed us.
"When is the meeting?" I asked so I can prepare.
"In two days at Kouh Academy." Irina said after pulling out a piece of paper.
"Shadow demon." I said.
"Yes, Ken-sama." Said a voice as an imp like creature appeared from my shadow.
"This guy will fallow you two. He'll be how we communicate with each other when we are seperated. I promise you he will not harm you." I said as the shadow demon flew over to Irina.
"Ok. We understand." Xenovia said in acknowledgement.
