***Sorry it's been forever! Not my best work, but I had hit a roadblock with chapter and couldn't find a way to get it just right. I will try to update this again and my other stories before the year end. Merry Christmas!
Vivian knew this pregnancy would definitely be different than her last magically one. She was getting bigger much faster than she was her last pregnancy. Hopefully the deliver would be swift and painless, despite her fatigue induced lapses. This time should be completely different. She wasn't running away from everyone as she did previously. They were there to serve her, to protect her and her baby from potential harm. There were some that had gotten close to Vivian but Voldemort had stopped anyone that had intentions to use Vivian. She was practically untouchable from the outside world.
"I want the security to be tripled."
"Yes, my lord." Voldemort was pacing back and forth, while Vivian was playing with her son on the floor. For the last several months the dark lord had seen her protection as his top priority. There was always looming threats around, but Voldemort had personally dispatched anyone that had gotten near. It was oddly comforting for Vivian. She was instantly well taken care of since the night of the dinner.
"Why didn't you say anything?" He usually would have had Vivian pinned, but her head kept randomly combusting it was hard to stand near her. He just stood glooming over her at a safe distance.
"I didn't know until tonight. I had been sick for days, it was the last thing to cross my mind." Vivian's head started to burn. The burning flesh began to fill her nostrils, she felt like being sick all over again.
"What happened at dinner?"
"That's what happened when I was carrying Demetrius, craved meat. The rarer the meat the better."
"Feeding the beast within."
"What did you just say?" Vivian cried out, the baby gave her a moment to breathe untouched.
"How far along?"
"Can't be more than a month or so. I should have noticed sooner." Voldemort turned his head, he hissed in pain. She had screeched something, something he couldn't comprehend, or stand to hear again.
"What the hell was that?" Vivian shook her head, she didn't have time or patience to explain. A subtle knocking could be heard from the door.
"Come in." He was surprised that her son had appeared suddenly in the room. A vile of something stuffed in his chubby hands. "Bring it here." She put an affectionate hand on her son's face, delighted that he brought what she asked for.
"What is that?"
"Something I took towards the end of my pregnancy, it calms the baby and gives them the nurturing that it needs."
"Blood magic?" Vivian instantly felt revived. She stared into the mirror, her facial features were hardened, and it would take a little longer to recover. The baby would give her the power she would need to handle it better, but she would have to wait and ride it through, until then.
"Of sorts, it was meant to use the blood of seer but it's easier to steal a baby that way."
"Steal a baby, how ridiculous."
"People tried with me, and many tried with Demetrius, I use my own. Feed him the evil within."
"Let them try."
"Nobody approaches her without proper authorization."
"Yes, my lord."
"The same goes for the boy too."
"Both of their safety will be our top priority, as always." The servants nervously shook. Voldemort was thinking longer in the presence than he ever had. When he insisted on the company of anyone, he always had something to say, always. His distracted thinking had them on edge, he was more dangerous when he was deep in thought.
"Only kitchen staff, and midwives in and out of the chambers. Searched before and after they leave the wing."
"As you wish my lord."
"Enjoying your day off?" Phoebe rolled her eyes, even in the afterlife Piper still remembered how to tease her. "Is cooking for others as easy as when I did it?"
"I hardly remember what not cooking every day is like."
"Yes, you were always ready to eat, not to cook." Piper laughed.
"Piper." Phoebe held her hand, it felt almost real enough to make her forget that she had died.
"Phoebe." Piper smiled, bringing Phoebe to tears. "What's wrong?" Piper embraced her sister.
"I just, I don't." Tears pierced the corners of Phoebe's tired eyes.
"You didn't summon here to watch you cry, what's wrong sweetheart?"
"I still can't believe you answered my calls. I've called for you all so long, I never thought." Piper squeezed her sister.
"Just cause I'm dead doesn't mean I love you any less."
"You're the only one that feels that way."
"No, they're. They're still just a bit upset."
"Mom, Grams, Paige and even Prue. I could understand Paige, but everyone hates me. Just as you should."
"I've had Leo to guide me. From the anger, to acceptance."
"How is Leo?" Phoebe weakly smiled at the thought of her brother-in-law.
"Despite being an angel and me being dead, we have been able to surprising keep things between us."
"And the others were alone. No one to share entirety with."
"Phoebe, quit punishing yourself. They'll come around eventually."
"It's been over twenty years Piper. I miss them all so much!"
"You have to give them time honey."
"But I'm quickly running out."
"What's that supposed to mean Phoebe?"
Months prior….
"There is nothing left here to talk about." Voldemort sent away the healer, wanting to be left with his wife. Vivian spoke up after they were alone.
"You promised me." Voldemort tsked at her, as if he was going placate their son. She narrowed her eyes, she wasn't a child.
"Sometimes the answers are right there in front of you, and you hardly can grasp the answers that are mind blogging obvious. You're ignorance astounds me."
"Did you just insult my intelligence?" She scuffed, putting some distance between her and him.
"No, I was questioning the magical realm whether they made a mistake gracing such power to…"
"And this proves to me, that I am wrong. And here I thought your ego could not grow any bigger." She had cut him off, in turned he growled at her response.
"I have had enough of this belligerent behavior. You get a little taste of power, and then… then your stupidity takes over. You are sadly mistaken if you think you will tap into my heir's power to falsify your place in his," he paused, "situation. You are foolish. Your power gain is temporary, the consequences are not."
"Do not test me. I will hurt you." She forced through her gritted teeth, when Voldemort clamped a hand around her retreating form.
"Do not turn from me. You are mine and you will listen, you will obey."
"I am not a dog, nor will I act as one. You will release me at once." Voldemort saw his wife's eyes glare black, but they were at lost to him. Vivian knew she had gone too far, she could feel him lose control. She needed to stand her ground, there was no turning back on what she had just done.
"You ungrateful wench." He wretched her back by her hair, now she knew that she had gone too far. He saw through her angry words and false façade. She might be powerful due to her pregnancy, but her baby did not shield her from its father. Or so he thought, he could feel her power pull from his grasp. This wasn't possible, this shouldn't be possible! He was the one with the power. He would not be overpower by her, of all people! Vivian wretched out of her husband's hold, leaving several bleeding locks of hair in his hands. Her heart was pumping but she didn't want to let on her apparent fright.
"I'm going to go check on Demetrius." She felt her body slacken, then go rigid before she could make it to the door. He advanced on her before the body binding spell took full effect, catching her stiff form in a heated embrace. He wanted to shake his anger out on her, he wanted to make her hurt, make her bleed for insolence. But he had to wait. His anger couldn't simmer while he waited out her pregnancy.
"You brought this upon yourself." He watched as she tried to fight the spell, he would have to act fast. He wasn't going to lose control, no, no, he would show her. He was not to be toyed with. "Oblivate." Effectively erasing her last hours of memory and reestablished her ability to move.
Vivian blinked her eyes several times, trying to regain her bearings. What the hell? Her husband looked angry, and almost anxious, had she ran her mouth again?
"Did I say something?" Voldemort smirked, she hadn't noticed anything amidst.
"You were going to get the boy and inform the servants to bring dinner." Voldemort's words didn't taste right in her mouth. What had she did all day, she could hardly remember that it was late in the evening already.
"Okay, I will go retrieve him." She leaned forward, pressing her lips to his satisfied ones. Hopefully he would not notice her distress. "I will be back momentarily." He watched her quietly leaving the room, her thoughts asunder. He saw pass her reassuring words, she knew something wasn't right. He would have manipulate some false memories to keep her from being suspicious. Yes, and he could manipulate into his bidding as well. No more of this rebellious streak of hers. Also very successful, it didn't seem to have any adverse side effects to her or the fetus, and she didn't bring up what had caused the confrontation to start with. Successful indeed.
Phoebe watched this and it had sicken her. He was losing control and her pregnant daughter was taking the brute of it. She had witnessed his lack of impulse control. The next time he could kill her in a rage, regardless if she was carrying his spawn or not. She had to move things along and soon.
"Are you sure this is what you have to do?"
"Yes." Phoebe breathed out, the messier it was the better.
"It can't wait any longer? Things might go wrong this soon." Piper questioned, she didn't want to see Phoebe get hurt.
"She recognized me Piper. I know not exactly, but this scar isn't very concealable. One good look at me and she will know something is up. I can't let her disrupt the plans."
"She would interfere?" Phoebe took a step away from her sister, holding her arms across her chest.
"Maybe not purposefully, but she might cause something to go wrong if she has an inkling of what was to come. I cannot afford a mistake like that."
"Will she understand?"
"Hopefully. I hope she will know that I am trying to do this for her, for us."
"She will in time."
"I have to do this. But I have to go. I love you, I love all of you."
"Bye Phoebe. Be careful."
"Bye Piper."
She knew that she had done a remarkable job. There were whispers, whispers about a servants dropping dead. Some thought their lord was on a spree but their lord thought it was group of traitors. All rumors of course, but there was a hint of truth to them. The others weren't too keen of her methods, but it had gotten the job done. Paranoia ran rampant across the compound. Nobody could anticipate the next move, but only fear from its consequences. Even though she had changed her alliance back to the light side, she couldn't help but relish the little bit of bad that was still within her.
