Getting To Know You
Chapter 5
"I can't believe we've got two weeks left," sighed Kelsi.
"I know it's perfect here away from my sister, the prying eyes on the student body," muttered Ryan.
"Ryan what's going to happen to us?" asked Kelsi.
"Nothing. I won't let it," answered Ryan. "I know I've been a jerk to you in the past and I apologize. I'm not apologizing on Sharpay's behalf because she won't be sorry. But even though she'll have some daft idea to steal songs on you for herself that you have purposefully wrote for Troy and Gabriella – i.e. Right here right now or Can I have this dance. I won't let her. As she said before summer last year. It's summer everything changes. This summer everything has changed but for the better and it's not going to change back because everyone thinks I'm Sharpay's poodle I'm not being that guy again," answered Ryan. "I've just got you and there is no way I'm going to let you go."
"Well," whispered Kelsi, her lips nearing his. "I don't think your Sharpay's poodle. I think you were looking for acceptance and everyone just look to Sharpay and she knocked you into the background and you stayed there."
Ryan went to answer but was cut of by Kelsi's lips.
"Maybe your right," he murmured.
"The girlfriend is always right," Kelsi, muttered.
"I won't argue with that," muttered Ryan, meeting her lips.
"So let's forget about what's going to happen in two weeks and enjoy right here right now," whispered Kelsi.
"I'm down with that," smiled Ryan, meeting her lips again.
"What about a basketball number?" asked Kelsi, pulling away from him.
"Your mind just won't stop will it?" asked Ryan.
Kelsi shook her head smiling. "No sorry."
Ryan laughed and grabbed the notebook. "Tell me your thoughts."
And at top speed Kelsi started rattling of the ideas that were bouncing around in her head.
