Road to Forgiveness

Disclaimer: I do not own the vampire diaries, the right belongs to L.J. Smith and Julie Plec, and the rest of the creators.

The image for the cover was put together from too different pictures that I put together and changed enough to not violate copy right laws.

This takes place after Damon Kills Elena's brother Jeremy. Katherine never loved Damon, and Elena hates him. Everyone is convinced he is a soulless monster, but can one young girl and her God convince him that he is capable of love and being loved?

Prologue

Grace's POV

My father always tells me I am too innocent for this world, and that the Lord's light shines bright through me to chase away the darkness from even the blackest hearts. He is a prison minister, and because of my "gift," he takes me with him to spread God's word to those in jail. "You show them kindness, and love," Dad tells me, "which is something they severely lack in their life." My parents raised me to believe that any person could be saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and the best way to lead lost souls to Jesus is to love them like He does.

God said being a Christian wouldn't always be easy, which brings be to my current predicament. I'm paralyzed, unable to move a single muscle, or voice my thoughts. The blue eyed man in front of me tells me to be still, silent, and unafraid. Black veins zig and zag underneath his pale skin, the whites of his eyes become blood shot, and fangs descend from his mouth.

I'm staring into the face of death itself.

A vampire.
