if you have already read chapter six you haven't i accidentally posted chapter 7 whoops please read i hope you like :)

"Rebekah stop!" Carolena demanded. "Just because I'm having a baby doesn't mean I am one"

"Care I . . ." Rebekah started.

"No Rebekah I am perfectly capable of doing normal human things I am fine I don't need to be babysat" Carolena then said in a softer tone. "Can I have some time alone, please?" Rebekah knew that she should argue but instead she just nodded and walked out of the room. She decided to help Kol torture Tyler instead.

With a huff Carolena stood up and began walking to the bathroom. She did her business and then walked out, staring at her fluffy socks. Suddenly it was like she knew she could sense him. She looked up and there he was leaning against her bed post watching her.

"You're not real" She told him.

"Of course I am, love" He replied. She was just staring at him. Looking at how his blonde, curly hair was cut close to his head. He seemed to have stubble on his chin, the way he held himself was confident, a confidence only a thousand years of cruelty could create. But as soon as she looked into his blue eyes she could see his sadness, she could see him.

"Nik" She whispered and then threw herself at him, hugging him tightly. She knew that if she let go he would disappear again.

He was shocked to say the least, he was expecting yelling. "Care . . ."

"Shh can we save the fighting for later" He responded by wrapping his arms around her and burying his face in her hair. He could feel her baby bump and he almost wanted to cry. She really had been here the whole time but he had decided to be stubborn. God he missed her.

Then he could smell her blood. No, he didn't want to drink from her but he could smell the blood as if she's been cut. He pulled back and held her shoulders at arm's length, she looked up at him with wide eyes and he caught sight of the band aid on her neck.

"What happened?" He asked her. She ripped herself from his grasp, glaring.

"What do you think happened? You weren't here!" She yelled. "You were supposed to protect me!"

He was speechless staring at her.

"You promised you'd protect me! Protect us" She yelled holding her stomach. "But noooo instead you were rendezvousing in New Orleans with some were-slut you knocked-up . . . Rebekah says you hate her so what the hell?!" She yelled and then watched his well-constructed mask go back up.

"Be careful sweetheart your jealousy is showing" he said with a smirk.

"Of course it is I am your wife. Wouldn't you be jealous if I went around and slept with the whole town? That Stefan Salvatore isn't that bad looking, he did save my life too, come to think of it" He growled at the mention of Stefan. "What? Mad that you weren't the one to rush me to the hospital when Damon Salvatore almost drained me?" She knew she was getting on his nerves, she always had a way to turn his own words against him.

"I'm going to kill him" He growled.

"No you aren't because you are just as bad, if not worse than him"

"Careful love you're treading on thin glass" Then she slapped him.

"Careful Nik I'm not your naïve Carolena anymore" She mocked. He knew he should stay but he could hear the Lockwood boys screams and he had to go help his siblings. So he pushed past her towards the door. "Huh I never knew you to coward away from a fight"

"I have more important matters than arguing with you about your petty little problems"

"Like what?"

"Torturing my hybrid" he said. "I hate him and I can't deal with you while I'm missing out on all the fun" Carolena knew she was losing him and she didn't want to so she played her last card.

"Then save me! Just be the love of my life. Just love me more than you hate him"

"I'm sorry love but that's not an option for me right now" Then he began to walk away again.

"No. No. No! Don't you dare walk away from me! I swear to God, Niklaus, if you take one more step, we are done, ok? No more surprises, no more excuses, no more chances. We are done. And this child I am carrying will not look up to you as a father, only somebody his mother hates" Klaus froze in the doorway. He turned back to look at her she had tears in her eyes, but she wasn't lying and he knew that. He looked one last time at the doorway then made his decision. He walked over to her and grabbed her face in his hands, then roughly pressed his lips to hers. A thousand years of pain, anger and sadness washed away and he was once again in his village, falling in love with his best friend.

Carolena knew she had to forgive him eventually, but she'd make him work for it. She always did.

"It's hard to grovel when you ignore me" Niklaus said.

"I'm mad at you Nik I'm not going to make it easy for you to grovel"

K&C

"Carolena please, please, please forgive me"

"No"

C&K

"I am no longer courting Tatia"

"Good for you Niklaus"

K&C

"C'mon Care you can't hate me forever"

"Why not?"

"You need me"

"No I don't"

"Yes you do but don't worry I need you too"

C&K

"Can you two just make-up already?" Rebekah asked.

"No. I'm mad at him" Carolena snapped.

"You two fight all the time"

"He hurt me"

"He will continue to hurt you but he'll also continue to save your life"

K&C

"If only looks could kill" Kol sighed.

"What?" Niklaus asked.

"You'd have died a million times over" Then Kol looked over at Carolena. "Oi Care you're killing us over here"

"Good" She said indignantly.

"Don't worry big brother she'll forgive you eventually, she always does"

C&K

"Why is Nik so sad?" Henrik asked.

"Because Carolena's being mean" Kol answered.

"He was mean to me first" Carolena replied.

"Stop being mean to my brother he's not fun when he's sad" Henrik said.

K&C

"You are not children anymore" Elijah said. "You can't continue to hold this grudge over him, I think he's got the point now"

C&K

"Care please I'm sorry I'm so so sorry"

"You hurt me Niklaus"

"When do I not? Why is this time so different?"

"I don't know"

K&C

"I made this for you" He said handing her a bracelet.

"Are you trying to buy my forgiveness Niklaus?"

His smirk as he walked away was the only answer she needed.

"Niklaus!" She yelled. "You can't buy me"

C&K

"If I cannot buy you" He said and then handed her a piece of bark, which he had drawn her onto.

"Niklaus this is beautiful"

K&C

He pulled her to him and pressed his lips to her own.

"I forgive you"
