Notes:- I've just realised that since I've been using my phone to write this story up every time I've put in DDE it auto corrected it to DDS so I've quickly re read a lot of the new chapters to make sure it's been sorted. Happy reading!
That night Raven tried to stay to herself and keep away from the white haired villainess. She cursed herself for allowing this to happen. Why did she always have to fall for the bad guy... or girl as this case would be. She laid on he bed trying to take her mind of the pain in her stomach. To avoid Wrath she had missed tea and was now regretting it. She decided that maybe some meditation would ease her mind and help her relax so she walked to the foot of the bed and sat crossed legs on the floor. She began chanting and after a few seconds, began to levitate off the floor. Her she felt her body relax and the weight of all her problems started to lift until a quiet knocking sound disrupted her. She cracked open a eye to look around. After a moment of silence she resumed what she was doing till another slightly louder knock was heard. She looked over till the door.
"Hello?" Raven asked curious to who was knocking.
"Hey," It was Wrath.
Raven panicked and landed on the floor with a thud. She stood up rubbing her sore behind and walked to the bed. She didn't know what to do or say.
"Hey," Raven finaly said after a long moment of quiet.
"You okay?" Wrath asked with concern in her voice. "You didn't come down for tea."
"I wasn't hungry," she said although her stomach disagreed with a loude grawl.
"Alright, as long as your okay?" Wrath said sounding unsure. "Well I brought a plate up just incase you'd maybe fell asleep or something. I'll leave it outside for you."
Raven could hear the sound of something being laid on the floor outside of the door. She felt so guilty after hearing Wrath's voice. The women wasn't stupid, she obviously knew something was up but she didn't press Raven further. Raven wanted to just open the door and apologise to the other women but stopped herself. She waited, listening to hear if the women had left before opening the door to find a tray. She picked it up and brought it inside. On it was a plate filled with gammon, egg and chips, a bowl with fruit and a hot cup of tea. It didn't take her long to devoure the lot. After she returned to meditating before calling it a night. She knew that she was going to have to face the women sooner or later but hopfully she could sort her feeling out and get back on track for the mission.
Three days later and nothing much had really happened. Everyone had been sorting, cleaning and repairing. Scar and Madman was in the garage section fixing the vans and cars and Raven decided to give them a hand. She had helped Cyborg a few times on his car so knew the basics. While in the garage she had noticed the motor bike had gone.
"Hay Roth, I got all the bolts out so you fancy lifting the engine out?" Madman said poking his head out the bonnet.
"Sure," she said as she activated her cuffs.
Hers fists lit up and she walked up to the engine. She grabbed each side and pulled it and raised it above her head. She walked over to a opening with a large dust sheet laid out and placed it down. Madman looked impresedon as she watched her use the cuffs.
"You know, I could have done that," Scar huffed looking some what unimpressed.
"Yeah but I wanted to see those cuffs in action man," he said looking like kid excited about christmas. "They are a very advance piece of kit. Where did you say you got em from?"
"I..." Raven panicked think what to say. "Stole them!"
"Really? From where," he said tapping his chin in fort. "Let me guess! Area 51? The Chinesse resurched sentre?"
"No," Raven said before she knew what would really impress the Teen. "I stole it from those Titan kids a few years back."
"Really?" Scar said suddenly intrested.
"Cyborg," Madman grinned. "I should have guessed."
"Yeah, I broke into thier hideout and took it right from under thier noses," she bragged while trying not to laugh.
"That's pretty cool. I hear thier leader use to work for batman," Scar said as he picked up a car of paint spray. "Man he use to give me the chills back in the day. Got to meet him once too," he went on as he began to spray the door with flames.
"He kick your but?" Man mocked.
"No, it was just after I got my super strength way back before the DDS. My squad and I was in Gotham trying to take down a huge gang of child smugglers and he helped us out."
"You sound like you admire him," Raven said with a raised brow.
"Just cause he's on a different side of the law don't mean I can't admire the guy," he said going back to the door.
Raven fort about what Scar had said. He was right, she respected many foes back in the day. They may be fighting the wrong fight but they were good at it. It's not like she was not going to still teach them a lesson and had them to the police. Maybe some of the villains for the same about herself but that didn't mean they weren't going to try and kicked her butt. Her mind then went to Wrath. At the end of the day, she was pretty sure she would be able to turn Wrath in. Feelings or not, Raven knew right from wrong. Where was that women anyway? She hadn't heard or seen that women since she had brought her the meal to her room. Before she had time to ask though Diesel called down to them.
"Scar, we got a problem," he said walking over to him.
"What's up?" He asked standing up and laying the spray can down.
"Wrath's distress beaker has been activated," Diesel said not looking to sure.
"When?" Scar asked.
"Just now. It's the first thing we've heard in nearly 24 hours." He turned to walk and Scar followed.
Raven looked at Madman who shrugged then began to follow with Raven. They reached a huge room filled with computers and a large screen at the far end where thier was a image of each of the DDS. Wrath ems image was flashing red. Scar clicked on her image and a load of information came up on screen.
"Their's no heart beat," Scar said inspecting the screen.
"It could be that she's removed her monitor," Diesel pointed out and Raven's heart jumped a beat.
"We need to find out what's happened. I knew we should have sent someone with her," Scar grawled.
"What's happened? Where's she been?" Raven asked concerned.
"We got orders a few days ago about the mission. It was just a two man job to secure Information so we sent in Wrath," Diesel said looking at Raven. "Well you and Wrath actually."
"What?" Raven asked confused.
"You hadn't come down to eat that night and Wrath said you'd not been feeling well so she went alone," Scar said still typing.
That hit Raven like a slap to the face. Something bad had happened to the white haired villainess and it was all Raven's fault cause she was trying to keep her distance. He said their was no heart beat. She could be dead and it was Raven's fault. Her stomach started to turn and make her feel sick.
"Well, the monitors tracker is still working. She's about 200 miles away. We could be thier in no time if we take the jet," Diesel said bringing up a large map with a red dot.
"Get everyone to get geared up and ready to go," Scar said to Diesel as he nodded then exited the room. "let's go get our girl back shall we."
