notes:- thanks for the reviews. Well here's the next chapter.
They had reached home and was in the medical ward. A few members got a few cuts to get cleaned up and Raven's shoulder, although not broke, was still sore but the main activity was with Wrath who was still unconscious. Felix was main medic and was dealing with the badly beaten women. Hawkeye was helping Felix and both was busy patching up for well over four hours after which the two had told the team that she had suffered from several broken ribs, a broken arm and a few fractured fingers. All internal bleeding had been stopped and she was lucky to be alive. Raven kept quiet till they asked if she'd like to go in and see her. She was laid out on a bed with no clothes on but the amount of bandages she wore covered most of her body. What skin was visible was bruised. The blood seemed to have been washed off her although her hair seemed to still have a slight tint of crimson. Raven sat in the chair by the bed and just looked at the women till a beeping came through.
"Hi,"she said through her ear piece still not taking her eyes off the women laid before her.
"Hey Raven, it's Robin," the boy wounder said. "We heard everything. Didn't think it was safe to speak till now. Can't believe she knew all this time."
"Yeah," Raven nodded although Robin couldn't see that.
"When she wakes up you need her to tell you everything she knows about Mr DDE," he said and she flinched slightly with anger but let it slid. "I will," she said and leaned back in her seat.
"Look Rea, I know you two have gotten kind of close," he said after a pause. "And if she's really serious about helping us then maybe we can see about shortening her sentence and maybe even joining the team?"
Raven then froze slightly, realisation hitting her. Wrath was helping them. Wrath had been helping them the entire time. That mentioned she wasn't the bad guy right? Raven wasn't falling for the bad guy. A small smile played at the side of her lips.
"Yeah, that would be great," she said her voice sounding less harsh.
"Great. Cyclops is going to take over on coms for a bit so if you need ownt just radio through," he said as Raven nodded.
She felt admittedly happier after that. The women was still in bad shape and was still passed out on the bed but if this all worked out, the two could maybe become friends. Raven leaned back looking out of the window.
"Now that's a beautiful sight to wake up to," Raven looked down to see Wrath smiling up at her.
"I Err. .. hi," Raven said surprised. "How you feeling?"
"A little sore," Wrath admitted trying to sit up.
Raven rushed up to help her and lifted a pillow up for her head. Once she was sure she was okay she sat back down
"You had me worried," Raven said picking up some water and passing it to the other women.
"Worried about little old me?" She chuckled and took a few sips.
"I'll go get the others, I'm sure they'll want..."Raven started standing up.
"No wait, we gotta talk," Wrath said as Raven stopped.
"What's the matter?" Raven asked curious.
"Once you bring them in we are gunna struggle to get time to talk," she said as Raven nodded and sat. "I might have found where what Mr DDE wanted us to retrieve is or at least, a few possible locations."
"In the drug lab?" Raven asked unsure. "What kind of weapon is in a drug lab?"
"It's not a weapon, it's a filter," she said receiving a raised eyebrow. "It's some kind of matching they use to filter the drug out of the transport."
"The chocolate?" Raven asked.
"Yeah," Wrath nodded. "It's draws out the drug residue from the chocolate bar. The sea side complex is where the bars are made and filled with the drugs before getting shipped out to two packing factories where the drugs are stripped from the bars and then both bars and drugs are shipped out separate to buyers."
"That's actually kind of smart," Raven thought aloud. "But what does a plan to take over the world need with a filter for drugs."
"I don't know," Wrath shrugged. "But if it means we can get close to Mr DDE then we need to get our hands on it."
"Yeah," Raven nodded deep in thought.
It didn't make sense why he'd want such a device. Drugs were power but they weren't a way to take over the world. It just didn't make sense. She stood up again and looked at Wrath who was looking at some of the bandages.
"Thanks," she said making Wrath look up confused. "Back at the complex with that guy. Thanks for stopping me I... I..."
"Don't worry about it," Wrath smiled and reached out for Raven's hand. "I didn't want you regretting something like that."
"I was just angry when I saw you thier like... like that," Raven said clenching her fist at the image, as Wrath stroked he arm to sooth her.
"I'm fine Raven," she smiled and pulled Raven slightly so she was sitting on the bed. "Look ive never told anyone this before but... I'm guessing your Titan buddies haven't got any history on me?" Raven shook her head.
She remembered back before joining how Robin had listed off each members history, background and what had led them to join the DDE. Each member had a reason but their was no information on the mysterious women. Robin said it was like she was a ghost.
"I was a no body, a orphan, had nothing and no one but my twin brother. We had no idea who our parents were or anything. Finaly when we about 9 we got out of the system to a family who were... less than normal," Wrath said biting her lip and scratching the back of her neck. "They were doctors of some kind and put us through some very strange test and once a week they would inject us with... blood"
"Blood?" Raven asked feeling sick that someone could do such a thing to kids.
"Yeah," Wrath nodded but Raven could tell she wasn't to happy about telling this story. "They were using blood from super powered beings to enhance us and try to give us powers, believing that if they merged blood together they could extract power to other people but some of the blood was tainted or didn't take or something cause my brother started to get very ill and he ended up... killed them. He was 13 at this point and he ripped them apart with these disfigured claw hands he got," Wrath said then looked up at Raven. "He was so fucked up but it was that blood that fucked him up. He would get random fits of rage and would just kill people and even eat them at times."
"Jesus," Raven said not sure what else to say. "Wh... what about you?" Raven asked worried.
"Not a lot actually," she shrugged. "I mean I use to have brown hair till one batch changed it white. I can see in the dark a little and tiny bit better hearing than a normal human. Only good thing I got really was quick healing."
"Healing?" Raven asked.
"Yeah I mean it's not instant like you can but within a week or two I'll look like nothing happened," Wrath said looking at Raven, waiting for her to speak.
"So... what happened to your brother?" Raven finally asked.
"He..." Wrath started but the door opened to Felix.
"Your awake,"she smirked as she stepped in looking at the two.
